This kids upside is huge. Given that he wasn't in the representative system (U18's - Vic Country program) and was a late comer to the TAC program, his scope for continual improvement as he gets used to the full on footy environment is mighty tantalising. As he improves on his fitness and tank, his impact on the contest will continue to improve (staggering for a kid who gathered 36 possessions in just his 14th AFL game).

Wiz has also stated on a couple of occasions that he would rather see his boys line up for Melbourne too, so there's always hope!

Have you looked at the kids selected from pick 30 onwards (would've been our pick in last years draft, instead of Melksham). I'm happy with Melksham, as opposed to whoever else would've been available at that pick.

Spencer is not a list-clogger atm. He can't be, purely for the fact that throughout this year, he was the only other pure ruckman on our entire list. He was not preventing/clogging any other ruck the opportunity of playing. Now if we were to bring in a 2nd ruck this off-season, Spencer would become a list-clogger, if his presence was preventing that potential 2nd ruckman from playing games.

Ross Lyon is a list destroyer. He plays his favourites and gets the best out of them, to the detriment of the other listed players' generally not in the starting 22. He did it at the Saints, he is now doing it at the Dockers.

His kicking is absolutely lethal and it sticks out like a sore thumb (given the disposal of our other backmen). However, Salem has failed to show enough hunger and desperation for the ball for mine. He is valuable to our side no doubt, but he is not indispensable for the right offer.
