I'd have Hayes as a better prospect than Filipovic as both a forward and ruck.

Oh no, absolutely not. I've given 25 consecutive years of my life to this football club, of which only 7 have seen them make finals (28%). There is no mystery as to what came first, my support or MFC success. Dare i say it must be the case for 95%+ of our members. It's about time this football club finally started vindicating our ongoing support. Until such time, i see no reason to give more than what i currently do.

Was about to say the same thing Bitters.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

It's an artsy little town with a few galleries, most of the full-time residents are farmers of some sort. Sleepy during the week, but gameday at John Terrill Park always attracts a crowd. Like most small country towns, the football and netball form a significant, if not the most significant part of the fabric of the town (this is especially true with footy at Fish Creek). Everyone knows everyone and it's one-in all-in. If you are a member of the FCFNC you are literally a part-owner of the club. No matter where Fish Creek plays, it always has a strong following from the supporters (even as far as Philip Island to the west and DWWWW to the east). There are a few famous family names at Fishy. The McGannon's, Park's, Stefani's and Buckland's have been playing with the club for generations. -
2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Seen him play a few times. He's a Fish Creek native. Now the Alberton Football League isn't exactly the cream of the crop, but they hit hard and are true country footy players'. He's a tough kid and isn't afraid to put his body over the ball, played in the seniors as a 16 year old. Not fast no, but he seems to have lots of time when he's got the ball. I'd be happy to draft him if he is still there at pick 47, we'd get quite a few new members signing up too, as the McGannon family is a big one and the whole town of Fishy would get behind him. -
He is rather accurate in front of the sticks i agree. He also has a huge tank and is a great overhead mark, so i think playing him up forward is a smart move that should pay handsomely once he and Hogan get in sync with each other.

I highlight the kick-out against the Filth in the last round. Sure, it is only one example, but what a critically bad time to make such an error in disposal and judgement. That for me right there told me that he hasn't come as far as what you allude to Wise.

Cannot agree with this. How many years has Tom McDonald been in the system? 7 years, yet his decision making and kicking ability have barely improved

our history overcoming foot injuries is not great reading. First Clark, then Trengove. It's something that our clubs seems to be unable to get right. -
Preseason Training - Week commencing 6/11/17

Stretch is naturally quite lean, so he looks bigger/more muscular than what he really is if you were to see him in real life (it's an optical illusion). Having said that he does look in ripping knick, and puts me to shame, lol. Onya Billy! -

Who said you could take my photo Ding? -
At his best Jonesy was a B+ player. I say was, because i feel he has regressed ever so slightly over the last couple of seasons.

Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent

This really is a good news story. If anyone ever deserved a second chance, it is him. Hope he kills it too, hell hope he plays a blinder against us (but we win).- 154 replies

It's a pity that we aren't allowed to use the whip when they slacken off.

After that round 23 performance, who could blame anyone questioning whether to sign up again or not. I reckon we will struggle to beat last years membership tally, our second half of the year was truly uninspiring.

Matt Crouch is more of an accumulator and seemingly suited to being a pure midfielder. Andrew will have more affect with his disposal and will be a viable option in more positions on the ground

Late last night i lost my dog. He went quickly and very unexpectedly. Only a couple of hours earlier the vet reported that whilst having a slightly elevated temperature and increased white blood cell count, there was nothing overly remarkable in his symptoms. He was even scheduled to be picked up by me at 10.30 to bring him back home. 2 hours later the vet rings and says that he has collapsed and they were trying to resuscitate him, but could not revive him. He went very quickly, simply rolling over and then.........yeah, gone. The nurse on duty saw it all happen and said that it he was gone very quickly (almost as if he died instantly). Even though he was an anxious dog, he went without being distressed and without pain and without knowing what was coming for which i am truly grateful. As the nurse said, it was such a beautiful way to go, one second he was fine the next he had left. No pain, no fear. Like all people so lucky enough to be allowed to have their life enriched by a companion, he made my life better because he was in it. Now i am left behind and i can't go with him, protect him, care for him, be there for him on his next journey. I don't need sympathy, though i know you all will provide it (we are after all in this together, which i am truly thankful that the MFC provides me with such a community). It does however highlight what is most important in one's life. And i would not hesitate for one second take my Neville's place so his life could continue. Not for all the premiership's in the world. This is now the fourth time i have had to endure losing my best friend.............it never gets any easier, if anything it gets harder. Love those who are closest to you, appreciate them for the joy they bring to your life. Focus on the things that matter most and don't get hung up on trivial things like trades, players and coaches (unless of course they are truly that meaningful to you - then kudos, appreciate it all the more). As i always said to my parents when i let my dogs give me kisses, you just never know when your last one may be. I now do, and i would not change a thing. Even right up to the very end, as what we shared was ours alone and truly unique. I only posted this on here as it is a place i know where i am welcome, for which i am thankful. Neville you were and are a great dog, who enriched my life in ways that i will never be able to repay. May you go to your mother who is waiting for you on the other side, until such time as i come to join you. You gave me so much joy and unwavering love, as i hope i did in return. May i forever be in your heart as you will always be in mine. Gone too soon, but only for the more sooner that we will be together again. Wait for me, i will eventually be with you once more. Loved now and forever, Tom.

I can't help but disagree. Tom McDonald has had great difficulty in trying to rectify his disposal and decision making throughout his entire career. There's only so much improvement that can be developed, if your base is a low one the ceiling will be much lower.
