It was a rhetorical question. I think Kent has had a pretty immediate and that is why he is valued on here so much. He will only get better injuries permitting.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Wrecker45 replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Neither did The Ox. 2 of the best players in the last 40 years. Must be a sign... -
I wonder how the players at the top teams in similar roles were going at 32 games. We haven't seen anywhere near the best of Kent yet.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOMAS BUGG

Probably was Bugg then. I've just seen Toby Green do that a few times. He would be a dominator if he could kick more than 30m -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Wrecker45 replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
He's much quicker (leg speed) than ANB. Therefore he will get a game ahead of him in the foreword line to keep the intense pressure up in our forward press. ANB seems to have a better goal sense and as silly as this seems is less important to our forward structure. -
For once i am confident. Over the last few years under Roos where we have occasionally gone in as favourite i have learnt to worry. BUT the relentless attack on the contest and our forward press set-up makes me think lesser teams will crumble against us this year.

Yeah this is only a NAB challenge press conference with most of the best journalists missing. His press conference was hopeless if you take it in context and just part of a broader problem.

Saturday talking point: More attacking footy
Wrecker45 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
As far as i can see and i am only going off training reports, player interviews and watching 1 nab challenge game our greatest shift towards becoming attacking is in our defence. We seem to have put an emphasis on very aggressive defence in our attacking half. Jack Viney said after the Port win it is much better to get a turnover in our attacking half where it is much more likely to result in a shot on goal. -

That he won't be back until 2018 and by that time Hogan will be playing for Fremantle and Goodwin will be sacked? -
Who will form our leadership group in 2016?
Wrecker45 replied to UltimateDemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hated Lumumba with a passion at Collingwood and thought he played uncountable football. He is at Melbourne now , so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Had problems with his shins last year and has had surgery to correct that. I think we will see a different Lumumba this year onfield but he is not a leader. -
Demons in National Women's League
Wrecker45 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
The sooner this league takes off the better for the MFC. Not only are we assured a team we have the best player. Who is the face, voice and marketers dream promoter of the game. -
Former Melbourne player snubbed
Wrecker45 replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't care how good Clarkson is, if the Dee's play finals this year I want to see a statue of Paul Roos at the G. -
I love Max Gawn and believe his rise this year will go a long way towards us making the finals but I think $12 is way too short. 1) he is a massive beast with a history of injury problems 2) they normally only pick 1 ruck and Goldstein is a dominator who never gets injured or even suspended.

Intraclub Practice Match - Friday 19th February, 2016
Wrecker45 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
am or pm? I have organised flares. -
But I bet you think it is mysoginist to look at your watch when a hopelessly out of depth PM made a hopelessly out of depth speech? And vile was to do with the use of the word [censored].

Maybe we should make him captain?

Would you say her "[censored] Abbott" t-shirst are full of hate or love?
-
If it is the same Clementine who is a Fairfax journalist and sold "[censored] Abbott" t-shirts, I'd say vile is an apt description.

So am I. When those blokes with fast twitch fibres get hammy problems they seem to be re-occurring.

Training - Friday 12th February, 2016
Wrecker45 replied to Satyriconhome's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting Terlich is getting a mention. I got a phone call from someone who was at training today who also said Terlich looked very good. -
EH - I love the analysis but please link to it. You have gone to the effort of getting the figure. Make them meaningful. My definition of capitalism isn't global. ITts inevitable capitalism will be global but not in our life time. Or my children's life time. Capitalism will drive the third world out of poverty.
