WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I would expect it to be: - Moore to Swans for their first round pick (pick 12-14) - May to Pies for that first round (12-14) pick plus Pies’ first rounder (14-18) - Gold Coast’s second round pick (19-23) to Pies Lloyd will stay at Swans and Newman will end up in Victoria

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
a player can't 'break' his contract he either gets traded, as per his request, or remains a gc17 player til next year, when he'd be a restricted free agent - same as lynch - as he's in the top portion of paid players gc17 are in a HUGE mess all the projections over the last 5 years have had may and lynch as their bookends for that time AND next five years scrimshaw will end up at the peptides as well, i think, and whilst he hasn't come on at all (few have; andrew swallow is their nathan jones the way things are going, yet touk miller will be their next skipper) he was super-highly rated at the time, they used pick 7 on him, now they might be lucky to get pick 47 for him

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
How many years was Jonathan Griffin back up to Sandilands? The big fella is STILL going, while Griffin finished his career on 97 games in a decade-long playing career as second fiddle Some blokes are more than happy to be role players eeking out a long career as a result

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
if we trade tyson for a player who can't even get a run at all in 2018 i will fair dinkum SPEW UP tyson is a best 22, second rotation inside midfield / first winger for us at the moment preuss can't even get a game ahead of majak daw as a relief ruck for old man goldstein

Farewell Jesse Hogan
named there, but certainly played games at u/18 champs at chf like when pav played forward all year one year but was still named all oz full back
-
Jayden Hunt
season is not over and i can't see us willing to let him go vince is retiring, lewis has likely one year left...the role is there for hunt to claim - he's great in the air and loves to use his run, and really needs to hit targets more often than he does of course

i believe crows are the only team, thus far, to be happy to match and thus force a trade - they got pick 9 (milera), pick 28 (on traded alongside kerridge in a truly awful trade for troy menzel) plus dean gore for dangerfield and pick 50 don't forget that if a team does match and a trade then can't be organised, the player goes into the open draft or the psd, where they can put a price on their head but if hogan was available at 26 turning 27 going into 2022, you can't tell me that whoever holds pick 1 that year wouldn't snap him up

Farewell Jesse Hogan
god that roar website is trash what part of 'not a free agent' do these keyboard warriors not understand? even if he WAS - which he won't be until he enters his eighth afl season, in 2021 - he would be a restricted free agent, enabling us to have the option of matching and / or forcing a trade if - and it's a big IF - he chooses to leave after 2021 and having played in back to back to back premierships (having missed out in the first run of four in 2018) then we won't lack for compensation options for a approaching 27 year old gun mobile key forward

Everything could potentially change with the the 6-6-6 ‘number of the beast’ structure that clubs will forced to align with at centre bounces next season Will clubs increasingly go 3 talls / 3 smells in forward and backlines? Will be interesting to see... If we do: B: Jetta - O Mac - Lever HB: Salem - Frost - Hibberd ? Jones - Brayshaw - Viney HF: Petracca - Hogan - ANB F: Weideman - T Mac - Melksham Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Lewis - Tyson - vandenBerg - Fritsch Emerg: Spargo - Hannan - Hunt - J Smith If we stick with the relative ‘small ball’ line-up: B: Jetta - O Mac - Hibberd HB: Salem - Lever - Lewis ? Jones - Brayshaw - Viney HF: Petracca - Hogan - ANB F: vandenBerg - T Mac - Melksham Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Tyson - Hannan - Weideman - Fritsch Emerg: Spargo - Frost - Hunt - J Smith If the 6-6-6 comes in, particularly if it’s coupled with reduced rotations, I would expect it to be the ‘tall’ line-up that may be preferred

Bernie Vince Retires
Such a shame it is likely he doesn’t get to play finals with us

2018 AFL NAB NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER
Everyone will be pushed further back with priority picks and academy selections Pick 32 could end up closer to pick 40...and the pick we traded for Lever - currently #14 - could be pushed back closer to #20
