  1. 60k is realistic in 2020 if we make finals again 70k might be a shot in 2020 if we win the premiership this year
  2. Tbh I thought he was lucky to get one given his recidivist history
  3. i can't help but wonder...if another club offers jones a three year contract, would he take it?
  4. he'll wear a batman mask like grimes, presumably?
  5. he's also our best crumber given garlett's injury in 2019 / form in 2018 melksham was sometimes the deepest lying forward last season.
  6. if we don't risk two, absolutely should challenge
  7. to be expected - do they risk two if they challenge?
  8. Andrew looks like a very good user of the ball, would defo have him at the Dees - but having shifted Hogan, we simply don’t have the WA-bred assets to move to Freo to get him
  9. See, I sit in the opposite camp - O Mac can read the ball in flight and dispose of it cleanly which makes up for his lack of sheer size Frost is hopeless when the ball comes in high and his disposal makes Brayshaw look clean with his possession
  10. anyone who leaves lewis out of round 1 needs their head read
  11. i don't think he's really done anything special, but i get the feeling that hore will definitely be a part of the side at this stage, may will play as he has not been suspended...same as with goodwin saying that harmes will play, you have to presume he'll play i'll go with the following changes from the 2018 prelim: IN: may, hore, fritsch OUT: frost, hannan, tyson B: Jetta - May - Hore HB: Lewis - O Mac - Hibberd ? Salem - Brayshaw - Fritsch HF: Petracca - T Mac - vandenBerg F: Melksham - Weideman - Spargo Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Jones - Viney - Neal-Bullen - J Smith Emerg: Stretch - Frost - Hunt - Kielty obviously if may is suspended then frost comes in i worry about how underdone we look, both from a fitness as well as a cohesiveness point of view
  12. Goodwin said he’d be fine They showed Viney in the rooms at one stage - big limp on, but that might be his natural gait or he might’ve copped a corkie or what have you
  13. and essendon, and carlton, and richmond...
  14. not just that, but it means their next two to five year contract after that takes them part way thru the next cba, which is due for renewal at the end of 2022
  15. I....can’t see it In terms of supporter base we have one of the smallest in the AFL To double membership base from 35k to 70k in the space of four years (2015-19) is unlikely and in some respects I fear Pert is setting himself - and the club, by extension - to fail
  16. I completely agree with you, fwiw, but I was still pleased to see Garlett’s attack on the ball and man - something that went missing for him big time in 2018 Spargo is a little ripper but still so young
  17. i wouldn't of the nominal small forwards who played last weekend - garlett, spargo, and anb - i thought he offered the most
  18. lever is about as expected - 12 month recovering, considering he did it in rd 11 last season hannan is a bummer tho
  19. that is more likely to assure that they run with fort and stanley in a dual ruck approach
  20. will miss 4-6 weeks of the regular season; won't play round 3
  21. of all our young guns, he's arguably the most skilled
  22. ridiculous assessment, he hasn't even been in the job six months yet
  23. He wasn’t a gun, but he was a vital part of that early 90s side Much like when the early 00s side lost Steve Powell, he was a classic good ordinary player who was a reliable and regular contributor and we missed him when he left
  24. lever is a good player returning from injury, we're not inconsistent, and we're not inexperienced i'd say my three major areas of concern are disposal quality, speed exiting the contest, and complacency
