  1. he doesn't do enough offensively or defensively. his body shape and frailties are too similar to morton.
  2. Vickery cannot play in the ruck. He's a stay at home forward who will - on a good day - take 7-10 marks, have 8-15 possessions, and kick 2-5 goals. Unfortunately he has roughly two good days a year, and otherwise gives you 2 marks, 6 possessions, 0 tackles, 0 one-percenters and 2 behinds. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
  3. wouldn't go near vickery. would happily bring in martin, rance, riewoldt, or deledio from the tiges, but that's about it. their depth is akin to ours in 06/07 - non-existent.
  4. if he was 25, absolutely. at about to be 28, no thanks.
  5. with freo chasing him and mccarthy it augers well for us keeping hogan from their clutches.
  6. Interesting, had heard today it was more than two for Tom. Good result.
  7. Strong word around the traps is that Prestia has committed to a Tigers on $3.5m over 5. I loathe that players can basically say 'trade me to x' and it's a given that it'll happen.
  8. Loving his contribution to the team.
  9. garlett is definitely out of form, but still have the most i50s of anyone in the side - even when he's having a poor run, he's still obviously trying even if he's not able to impact.
  10. like a player dribbling a goal around the corner, o mac invented the dribble pass today. hope he keeps improving.
  11. Was excellent today.
  12. Was there the last time we beat them too. It is SO NICE to beat them.
  13. We tired badly in last ten minutes. Still, if we can double scores we will win by 10 so I'll take that!
  14. Fantastic start. Prime midfield movers all hitting hard, rebounding flankers working hard, and Weed looks mobile and agile alongside Watts and the high flying Pedo. Gotta keep those inside 50s low and sharp to protect against their spoilers. Would be nice if the maggots didn't blow their whistle every time Rioli went near it.
  15. Rance has three seasons and Hurley two on T Mac. Yes he has flaws. Most players do. He remains our most experienced and best key defender. Pick 18 in a pretty weak draft would not cut it. We would need to bring in like for like, and I can't see that happening. At least three clubs are rumored to be in the mix - all offering him $700k over 5 to switch clubs. Our sole saving grace here is that he's not a free agent and it will require a trade to get it done. Personally I do not want to lose him. 23 year olds who have played 100 games as yr key defensive pillar do not grow on trees. Going at 83% disposal efficiency this year for what it's worth, and averaging nearly 19 a game. Leads our 1%ers by a country mile.
  16. Wrong. The rule is you must make two first round selections in any four year period. Last year we used two. Technically we don't have to make another first round selection until 2019.
  17. reminds me more of dane swan's earlier career - he's small-ish, deceptively quick, works hard both ways, and loves a goal.
  18. This could all go up in smoke... Got a kids birthday party immediately before it definitely need to attend now!
  19. Daw - with Waite going down, will likely play finals this year and take Petrie's spot in the North side in 2017 Vickery - free agent who is a tall forward who gets it 6 times a game and is a lovely kick but can't ruck effectively Holmes - an American who is another failed experiment at breeding a non-footballer into one Daw gets my vote of the three, but would rather not have any.
  20. Working out the ASA arrangements once new CBA has been confirmed I'd expect.
  21. Absolute nutcase. No thanks.
  22. Hope so. Would be a terrible deal for us in my view if we straight up gave up a first round 2017 pick for him.
  23. That's exactly what I'm hearing too braysure. That and that we will give pick 2017 first round for him which I think is utterly NUTS.
  24. Bombers high-ups very confident we will give up our 2017 first round pick for him.
  25. He'll walk in and be their #1 or #2 mid. If fit. Which is a fairly large caveat...
