  1. knightmare's early 2019 rankings: http://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/25376887/afl-draft-chris-doerre-top-20-prospects-2019 noah anderson, sam flanders, mitch o'neill, matthew rowell, caleb serong, jeremy sharp, cooper stephens, dylan stephens sound like the likeliest prospects for this role most important thing is to pick a player who can a) be developed properly and b) have a bit of luck on his side if we maintain current position i imagine we'll be all over rowell like a cheap suit - all the draft experts have been raving about him for a couple of years now, since his u/16s year at least
  2. i was at this game it was fantastically exciting
  3. the biggest issue is that the likes of preuss and garlett need game time to press their claims having a short break means that you need them to play minimum a half of footy...and is that enough? i'm also not sure what benefit there is in having preuss play predominantly ruck in the vfl when, if picked for the afl, he'll primarily play forward and relief ruck it's why you'd have to assume kielty or perhaps even tim smith would be ahead of him in the pecking order currently
  4. guaranteed he does himself a mischief tomorrow in the vfl, then
  5. appallingly, morton was a more accomplished footballer at the same stage as kk
  6. he makes cale morton look hard
  7. Pending any injuries out of the vfl hit out... OUT: KK, T Mac, O Mac, ANB IN: Spargo, Petty, Garlett, Keilty jones and frost both deserve to be dropped, hibberd and fritsch borderline the same, trac was better this week than last week but could probably still go...unfortunately there's really not much to come in KK looks like the second coming of Cale Morton B: Jetta - Frost - J Wagner HB: Salem - Petty - Hibberd ? Fritsch - Brayshaw - Harmes HF: Petracca - Weideman - C Wagner F: Spargo - Melksham - Hunt Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Jones - Stretch - Garlett - Keilty Emerg: Preuss - Hore - Sparrow - Jordon
  8. 6: brayshaw (and he butchered it all night long) 5: gawn (we're going to run him into the ground early this year) 4: harmes (three goals from midfield) 2: oliver (and he butchered it every time he kicked) 1: hunt (three goals in first game as a small forward) it was ugly this evening
  9. forget finals, the real battle is going to be not 'winning' the wooden spoon
  10. he's not solely responsible, but i don't know what's happened to our defence
  11. It’s nowhere near as congested as I was expecting it to be T Mac being forced off actually created space i50 - putting him on the wing upon return kept that forward line open Now keep going Dees
  12. Less grunt on inside, more run on outside
  13. Beginning to feel ill with anticipation
  14. correction: morton, grimes, watts, maric, blease, strauss, $cully, trengove, gysberts, tapscott ten top 30 picks in three years - not a genuine star among em!
  15. This is more about Warner hating Gil and the afl than it is us tanking
  16. Quality timing... https://bit.ly/2FNgq9T
  17. we're gonna run rings around em, perhaps?
  18. cows missing jacobs favours the puddy tatts for mine our game, toss of the coin, least worst wins, which i fear will be them you'd think cola should get over carltank without charlie curnow gw$ should be too good for rance / riewoldt less tiggas the filth over meth coke in the gf rematch bears-pear could be the game of the round, i favour the former on their home turf footscray should continue their strong start to the season over gc17 i like the future tasmania over the soon to be former tasmania, without shiel and burgoyne jokers should be too good at home for the aints
  19. 4-6 is likely you'd think - three to de-load, three to re-load
  20. we're playing friday night football, desperately trying to resurrect ourselves as a club that can draw big crowds, and people don't want us to promote ourselves that would be a backwards way of going forwards i'm all for the promo that they've done this week in the lead-up to a very important game elliott got door-stopped and said 'nah' which happens ALL the time...but cos it was blown up by the media it BECAME the story, and a joking one at that guaranteed the spin on, say, melksham doing the same would've been very different - "dee refuses interview" cue garry lyon saying the players and clubs need to be more accessible, blah, blah, blah
  21. no it's not players must speak to media and get messaging out there anyone who thinks the cone of silence is a preferred method of operation in this age of over-information is living in the distant past
  22. harry himmelberg signs a four-year deal to stay at gw$
  23. cos like chip, he's got the hallmarks of an all-australian defender? i didn't mean that as a knock on may, at all but in terms of comparable players, may is arguably a better kick, but both very similar in the grand scheme of things in terms of what they bring to the side - strength and agility 1:1, as well as a tough attitude frawley gets injured / suspended less tho, and has one more all oz guernsey already
  24. elliott is not really a 'small forward', more a forward who is small good player, but why would he leave the filth?
