  1. Interesting that Niall and Robbo in the little paper are saying the same thing The messaging out of the club sure is consistent!
  2. fyfe is also nursing something apparently
  3. fyfe also nursing something?
  4. dr gerard healy initially speculated it could be a medial, but then changed it to potentially cartilage damage i think it's fair to say he won't be fit for round 1 and potentially quite a bit longer than that he's had a rotten run with injury
  5. i asked peter jackson at the time whether it was being considered as an option as @old dee said, it was ruled out as an option due to no room to grow, existing infrastructure in place needing a complete re-do, and stonnington council being, well, stonnington council
  6. key points are the messages the club has been selling all preseason work much harder defensively bring yr teammates into it backline is sound, midfield and forwards are where improvement is really needed expect many more rotations thru midfield in 2021 preseason focus has been on improved kicking skills in particular gameplan focus is on becoming a forward-half side
  7. My guess at squad of 26: May, Salem, Harmes, Petracca, Jackson, Lever, Spargo, Gawn, Oliver, Langdon, Laurie, Bowey, Tomlinson, Jordon, Rivers, McDonald, Hunt, Neal-Bullen, Fritsch, Sparrow, Baker, Petty, Chandler, M Brown, Jetta, Lockhart
  8. with oliver, jones, brayshaw, harmes, plus trac wanting midfield time, there was clearly no place for him anymore has had a rotten run with injury at north, hopefully he's back to his best for them...except against us
  9. solid win by 44 points, should've been more than 12 goals tho - we wasted a fair few opportunities really wish at least the match day thread for the aflw was on the main page
  10. yeah, i said that and i think they kicked 5 goals to 1 or something for the rest of the quarter :) dees v aints in aflw is far more entertaining
  11. pfft, weed kicked 6 goals against a vfl side once upon a time too meanwhile, peptides look awful
  12. little marketing? afl were spruiking 'potentially' booked out ansett cup matches and that rd 1 will be a fully booked allocation for nearly all games it'll be interesting to see just how much people want to go and see games
  13. the very fact that they think aints or gw$ in particular are 'definite' to make finals in 2021 sums sen up
  14. there wasn't any 'outrage' in the article
  15. in terms of game plan, winning contested football is clearly the dna of our current side, what we need to do to make us a 'winning' side is limit turnovers and make the most of opportunities from my perspective 25 wins or so in a row would do nicely, none where we're less than four goals up for the whole of each and every final quarter; a settled heart and the joy of knowing that you've 'got this' is my favourite part of watching 'winning' football
  16. If he can get on the park...
  17. I guess the thing is he’s consistently inconsistent; has runs of form and has never maintained the rage for a full season
  18. based on the bits and pieces i've seen tigers are miles better than the filth and have well and truly put the cue in the rack to allow the filth back into it they've lost frontbum, will kelly, de goey, and possibly maynard to injury games are too long - bring back the shorter quarters ?
  19. excellent stuff from trengove here: https://twitter.com/jtren9/status/1366211773662068736?s=20
  20. they originally ballyhooed that they were going to get the full 25,000...
  21. well, he's no $cully or treng(r)ove, that's fer sure
  22. Based on what I saw of last night, blues mids still don’t defend, McKay remains incredibly overrated, Hill and the Saints will love the zip of Docklands
  23. He’s not 30 until the last day of 2021; will only be 33 in the final year of his extended contract He is a talismanic player and has gone from a knockabout joker into an ultra professional as someone else said, he is the antithesis of $cully, who was basically a “professional” from the age of 14, and burned out by 28 By comparison Max only ‘got it’ in his early 20s
  24. Perhaps one of the most important things was immediate Instagram comment from Oliver saying ‘four more years of silver service’
