  1. prefer this to a paddy mccartin option but...meh
  2. geez the maggots are tough on holding the ball
  3. north lifted their intensity big time, as you'd expect from a good side
  4. i thought so too be interesting to see if that sort of ruling is followed thru for aflm; will defo mean a lot frees and thus ball movement
  5. interesting that neither 9 for the tennis or 7 for the aflw have got fake crowd piped in today
  6. hitting targets makes all the difference
  7. i posted that it was a close family bereavement in reply to the ridiculous op, but it got deleted in the clean-up the people claiming homesickness etc. with absolutely no idea have, well, absolutely no idea wtf '"theiyr're" talking about, as per the norm
  8. rendell's comments were a bit more inflammatory than that tho; said he wouldn't recruit an indigenous player unless they had one white parent - he said it was a 'throwaway line' but it obviously - and fairly - caused a ruckus https://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-03-20/rendell-racist-comment-throw-away-line/3900240
  9. this it is also, of course, the midfield that frequently turns up it's toes and rolls over i'm hoping it's an experience thing but...i have my doubts
  10. stop trying to dee-rail threads! geez... ?
  11. If it wasn't for BBBJB and dodgy knees Tredrea would've been the best key forward in the competition during his peak years
  12. terrifically exciting for the young fella fingers crossed for a gun of a son
  13. it would definitely be limited you'd think the likes of jones, neitz, schwarz, yze, and white, would be likely candidates based upon their current body of work from 2000 to now current players under consideration would be gawn, oliver, and possibly petracca depending on what sort of impact they have as players over the next half a decade or more you'd also hope that young players such as jackson, pickett, rivers, and who knows who else would be seriously considered depending on their next decade of performance for the most part, we haven't had many 'star' performers this century; we've been fairly woeful on field
  14. Reckon he’ll be back on fox footy within first couple of rounds
  15. forward you'd think if we need him but coming off an injury- and illness-interrupted preseason, hard to see him being 'match fit' for round 1
  16. he doesn't have mfcss, which is remarkable really given everything he has witnessed when injured and / or on field must be the kiwi in him
  17. so far definitely ruled out: weideman - hore - b brown likely ruled out: viney - brayshaw - hibberd - vandenberg - smith possible squad: B: Lockhart - May - Lever HB: Hunt - Tomlinson - Salem C : Langdon - Petracca - Melksham HF: Fritsch - McDonald - Spargo F: Jackson - M Brown - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Rivers - Neal-Bullen - Sparrow - Baker Emerg: Jones - Rosman - Jordon - Jetta
  18. mitch brown, come on down
  19. love the projecting that is going on in this thread goodwin? unhappy! richardson? clueless! taylor? loves midgets! lamb? overrules everyone! i still maintain that drafting is an extremely inexact science; you're picking children who're 17 and hoping that by the time they're 24 they will be regular senior afl players it's very much pot luck imo
  20. just one...and then another one...and another...and another...and another...
  21. reckon he'll lead with 'it's a proud day...'?
