  1. gonna go thru the teams one by one to work out who i like the look of adding to our squad in 2021 adelaide crows fire sale! i honestly don't really fancy any of their players, but chayce jones was pick 10 in a strong draft - he can't be THAT bad (i.e. as bad as he's looked), can he? other than that...could we get fat guts fogarty to pull his finger out? cows mate tell me he's got the talent but zero workrate. wouldn't want to give up much for either - anb could be involved, potentially? most importantly, could we offer a fresh start for an oft-injured talent like wayne milera? i fully expect that they'll be in the ear of any player from south oztraya on any other team's list in 2020, so they should enquire about sparrow and petty and be told to politely return to adelaide. if they lose both crouch bros. they may offer viney a nice paypacket which we'll have to match preferences: milera, fogarty, jones possible trade: anb and future third for milera
  2. would definitely love williams as a free agent acquisition other than that, would like to parlay our (hawthorn) second round selection and our own third rounder back into the first round based on the current ladder spots - hawks third last and us being 8th - it'd be work 1194 draft points, roughly the equivalent of pick 14 but i'm confident we could build something to trade with the teams needing a greater points 'loading'
  3. the only way you'd consider higgins is if you think yr in the premiership window in 2021-22 according to the latest red and blue print, that's pretty much the case for us higgins is playing as good a footy as he has over the last couple of years; hard to see him retiring who knows, we could get him for cheap and he ends up playing about seven seasons, retiring near 40 like boomer harvey like harvey, he doesn't seem to be losing his pace, his appetite for the game, or his ability to impact the contest would happily have him on our list for a (highly compromised) 4th round pick

current: clayton oliver - he'll end up the best midfielder we've ever had past: jim stynes - revolutionised the art of ruck craft (big boy!) and while he's gone he's definitely not forgotten
  5. Didn't he do it in closing moments of the North game? Hence why Weed took the final centre bounce
  6. “Entertained visitors” lololol
  7. First time in a while that I can remember being halfway through their first season and being so excited by our first three picks in a draft Brings back memories of $cully, Trengrove, and Gysberts... ?
  8. Revisiting the trade for Pickett: https://www.afl.com.au/news/487043/is-this-a-rare-win-win-trade-2019-s-blockbuster-pick-swap-revisited
  9. the most amazing thing about the butler trade is that the tiggas didn't even use the pick they got for him it really was a gift for the aints
  10. They do
  11. Message from a mate with good thources
  12. Quad That'll be him done for 2020 you'd think
  13. Mitch Brown, come on down!
  14. Yep All the talk coming out of the aflpa is that they're happy to have more games and the frenzy as long as shorter quarters remain
  15. all the journos are running with it, so i'm presuming it's been leaked by head office the afl are concerned about maximising the crowds as they'll get the money from the broadcasters no matter when the games are shown - what they want is the crowds back in victoria
  16. given that next year's season won't start til the end of may / start of june, apparently, i think a 'frenzy' is inevitable as well may be shortened quarters
  17. Thursday night games are probably a lock for every round for 2021
  18. i agree re polec and i hope we're all over zac williams as a possible free agent i dunno about tomlinson going to the wing or harmes - who just signed a whopping five year deal - needing to find a place; the defensive structure is working with them both part of the set-up i think t mac has looked a bit better and is playing his role but, agreed, we wouldn't get a huge amount for him and not have to contribute to his contract at his new club if they do, would we let him walk? if they offer him "enough" we'd be straight back into the first round as compo value, unless we got williams to negate it that said...i would not be happy at all if we let him go rather than counter-offering as he's restricted not unrestricted
  19. i call him 'the barometer' it doesn't surprise me at all that every game he's played this year we've won
  20. i think i've watched at least parts of every game this year, some of them - a couple of ours, obviously - more than once in full! 41 players i'd have in the current squad: adelaide crows: none (0) brisbane lions: neale, andrews, mccluggage (3) carlton: cripps, weitering (2) filth: moore, grundy, crisp (3) peptides: zerrett, saad (2) footscray: daniel, bontempelli, macrae (3) fremantle: ryan, fyfe (2) geelong: hawkins, stewart, dangerfield, blicavs (4) gc17: collins, greenwood (1) gw$: whitfield, haynes, kelly (3) hawthorn: sicily (1) melbourne: petracca, gawn, oliver (3) north melbourne: goldstein (1) port adelaide: boak, dixon, jonas (3) richmond: martin, vlastuin, grimes (3) st. kilda: steele, butler, sinclair (3) sydney swans: papley, lloyd (2) meth coke: naitanui, kennedy, yeo (3) why 41 i hear you ask? cos of sicily
  21. Qualify top 4, plays 300th in a premiership...
  22. gc17 should be a long way up - have dominated everything except for the scoreboard
  23. crows into hately in a big way we are in the fortunate position that he's contracted to us, is clearly good enough to be a starting ruck for about half of the sides in the competition (crows, bears, peptides, dockers, geelong, gw$, hawks, richmond, sydney), and as such should be in high demand at the end of the season
  24. yep, won't see sicily again til 2022
