  1. Remember on the Sunday Footy Show when participants in Lou's Handball used to get a Telefunken DVD recorder? I remember thinking how much I'd have loved one of those. Needless to say all these machines are probably laying in a tip somewhere..
  2. You are dead right Koz! Dead right.
  3. I'd be leaving Serong out if anyone was the be left out. Has been getting a lot of it all season but it's only the last month he's really been doing anything with it and hurting opposition. He can be a bit of a crab handballing and kicking sideways often.
  4. I couldn't quite tell but has Viney been getting closer attention in the last couple of games? Particularly in the first half?
  5. Well if he comes more often we'll win and he'll have a lot more of these 'blissful' moments 😝
  6. Yeah but at least you have some good info 🙂
  7. Really like Wardlaw, what a gem of a player.
  8. It's about slaying the dragon.
  9. It's a disgrace and a joke.
  10. I like to be loud but sometimes like on Fri night I yell a bit less and do more thinking about the game. Cheering though is always constant. Yelling all the time like a Dikwad doesn't always make you a better fan.
  11. We just need to do our bit and get the job done.
  12. Why would you say Umpires shouldn't be full time then suggest they have a full time coach in the next sentence? Don't make no sense.
  13. I'd rather have 50 litres of U98 premium petrol than 200 litres of standard U91.
  14. I'm so sick of hearing from people who are obsessed about crowds. I couldn't give a stuff anymore, if people want to come they can and if not they can please themselves.
  15. Good to see Langdon get some votes
  16. Glad to see that's all sorted out.
  17. There it is. Roooooooooo
  18. Definitely the case and even as someone who does still go from work to footy or work to home to footy on Fri I'd prefer an earlier start. 7:20 makes sense.
  19. Maybe not 7:50 but definitely 10:50.
  20. Hopefully he gets through that Melbourne Cup Carnival period. Renowned for 'loading' to be cherry ripe on that big day in December.
  21. It's an exciting season for a neutral, best in a while. Any calls about the 8 being 'set' or there only being 3 contenders for the flag are premature. Anyone think Collingwood were a legitimate threat this time last year? Plenty of twists and turns to go in this one folks.
  22. Here's my question: Umpires have always been part time but why could they bounce it a lot better in the past than now? When it comes to set shots and goal kicking you can possibly use the excuse of players being full time and prioritising other training, what is an umpire's excuse for this one element of the job that doesn't need interpretation but just a lot of practice?
  23. One of the great footy metaphors!
  24. I'd imagine there is something to this speculation though. Not sure how much or how little can be attributed to it but there seemed to be two sets of MFC fans and their reactions around me on Fri night: - Those that were extremely unhappy with the skill errors, getting angry at the team and constantly wondering how this could be. - Those who were somewhat frustrated with the skill errors but had accepted that this could be the case due to fatigue and confidence being down lately with execution (This showed with the indecisiveness in our play). What they cared about was doing the things that make us what we are and that is great defensive shape, intensity and pressure. I'm thinking the coaches were thinking like the latter.
  25. I actually do Roy, they're that kind of club.
