Cracking contest. In the office today so watched on mute but I loved the way the game was being officiated UNTIL it was officiated. The spirit of the game was great for most of it just letting them play but then going against all that with some eyebrow raising calls. 2020 was incredibly tough, obviously no-where near as tough for me as others but it was a major drag. Caught up with a 'sort of' ex today who moved back to Adelaide in May and was getting some stuff back off me. I really don't think she fully understood how hard the Stage 4 lockdown period was. It can be real frustrating when people in that position who never really felt it use the line 'well it would have been like that for everyone'. Like many others I was hoping the mere changing of the calendar would change everything and I'm confident it will eventually but it's definitely going to be a slow burn.

Yeah thought that might still be the case, just seems odd that a 6-10 team can get a home playoff game while a 12-4 team can not only miss out on their division but also have to travel. But it's the weird and wonderful things that make this game.

I don't mind the winner from each division getting in but what I do find odd is how they automatically get a home game. Surely if the wildcard team they play has a better record then they should get it. And as I'm writing this I've got this feeling someone's gonna tell me they changed it recently.

Don't care what the media says this title race is well and truly on, at least for another month. It's that kind of season where good teams are just going to drop points. Wolves and Spurs was a tight one with Wolves nearly nicking all 3 points. Big Sam brought West Brom to Anfield with a plan and played it perfectly. Liverpool were way off in the second half. One thing I'll say is I don't know why people get annoyed when the other side isn't 'playing football'. Just find other ways to score.
