  1. Plastic cards and printed tickets for as long as I can help it. Don't want to rely on the digital thing yet.
  2. How about: "He's binned it...Binman's goal of the week"
  3. Aesthetically it may not be much different. When you factor in the mentality, philosophy and instinct part, it is quite different. In the past we would sell out to the system and not deviate too much. This meant defaulting to long down the line kicks and up and unders out of the middle. We now see guys playing on feel ie. taking the first option, surging and paddling it forward at every opportunity, forwards moving and speed of ball movement off the charts. Last year there were games we barely laid a glove on opposition mids, now we are tackling ferociously and keeping it in there giving us a better chance to win the clearance. I think this is the biggest reason for the increased clearances. We might have been trying to evolve to something similar in recent years but the way we've gone about achieving it this year has been very different.
  4. I'm fine with him being in the side. Was just saying it was based off two wildly good games, which it was. Who would be a better choice for that HFF spot after Rd 4? Probably no-one.

Got Ponsford Level 4 between middle to front for $270. Give that a shot?
  6. That would be rough as guts ☹️
  7. As mentioned above, I still don't think he's found his best position yet as well as he's doing in this one. In the youth system he was highly touted for his leap and marking in the forward half and we know about his athleticism. What we are seeing with guys like Sharp, Chandler and the like in terms of the up and down running he could easily do. Keen to see how he evolves.
  8. I mean yeah of course! Who doesn't like having their cake and eating it! 😁 I'm thinking this to myself after every MFC game lately. Reminding myself to make the most of it and never take it for granted. He deserves every accolade he gets.
  9. Very telling that only 5 players attended centre bounces (6 if you count the few the Petty rucked in)
  10. I reckon I'd be happier for him to win a coach's award than a Brownlow. Aside from a likely hilarious Brownlow night speech, this one would mean more.
  11. Can you sue someone for using the F word too early?
  12. He played half a game against Richmond and he was ok without setting the world on fire. His coach's votes all came from the 2 perfect 10s which supports what I've said but again I can understand him being in a rolling AA side at this point.
  13. He's pretty much on the money with this. Petracca at HFF based off 2 games is a little wild but I get it.
  14. The forwards are constantly moving now and HFFs are up and down all day. He is receiving the ball often in a wing to half forward position while running at pace. The gane style plays to his strengths and he is clearly loving it. A clean slate can do the world of good.
  15. I'd have absolutely taken 2 wins from the first 6. Pretty much any results that would keep King off the front page in a Neeld style. Is he destined for success? We don't know. Will we do well this season? Again we don't know. However you would much rather prefer this than the alternative for a new coach.
  16. Thanks senor Midjourney
  17. Yeah this didn't work for me at all. Left the house without my plastic card and tried to get the digital tickets but had nothing with a linked ticketmaster account and all. Had to run back. Will try to unlink and link again and see if that does anything but it's just stupid.
  18. Melksham - Please play forever
  19. We were reasonable and competitive after that start yes. If Essendon can get some credit for one decent quarter against the Dogs last night then I think we can see the positives in that game away from home.
  20. I'll tell you how superstitious footy fans are. In that 4th quarter when we were up by 4 goals and GC kicked one, a guy nearby yelled out "Let's not do a Carlton". Hardly a terrible comment right? Wrong. The instant abuse that followed was intense. "Why would you day that?" "How could you?" "Get out" You get the picture.
  21. Binman. Do you think this was our 'defensive' midfield performance in a long time? We killed it in the clearances and centre clearances but our ability to nullify the oppo midfield with amazing tackling pressure impressed me the most. Sparrow, Steele, Koz, Windsor and Max 30 tackles between them really set the tone. Speaking of which how great has Jack Steele been. 18 contested possessions, 11 clearances. Clayton who? 😜
  22. I don't know if this was the right way to go about it or not but leaking it to the media sounds a hell of a lot worse.
  23. If you watch him closely he doesn't let much get past. This game was a great midfield performance but I reckon it was an even better defensive midfield performance that that we nullified their midfield by tackling the hell out of them.
  24. That Kozzie kick to Latrelle off half back on the Warne stand side had me thinking just that. They find each other easily.
