  1. I agree we did get outnumbered at stoppage but looking at the stats we've beaten them in contested ball 157 to 141 and pretty much matched them in clearances. This is without our Mr contested possession Clarence of Oliver. Something is not adding up, either it's a massive credit to our midfield unit for achieving those numbers without Clarry or we are doing gumball all when we get possession and our execution is to blame. Or both (yeah actually both)
  2. Where was the clapping or great ovation? Before the game? During? As he was walking off? I must have missed it. On that first possession on the Southern stand flank right in front of me I gave him a single 1-beat clap for his contribution to the premiership and that was it, after that he became a regular opposition player to me. Personally I thought I nailed the balance.
  3. Yeah why did he do that?
  4. Well I certainly want to hear the positive sides, It balances out the yin and yang. I just don't want to hear excuses and fluff. For example being the highest scoring side didn't count for much yesterday and it doesn't fill me with confidence the next time we face an organised team like Freo that is difficult to break down. We didn't put the goals on the board when it mattered, it is a problem and needs to be corrected. I don't then want to hear the excuse of Clarry missing, we matched them in clearances and beat them on inside 50s, we had enough ball to win this one and in saying that I will admit this is a good example of things not being as good or bad as they seem because a few better functioning things would have kicked the goals to win it. More than happy to hear the other side from people like yourself, just don't want to be ostracised for being passionate and disappointed.
  5. That would be very, very displeasing.
  6. Thanks buster, I'll make sure to watch Hitch-hikers guide and look out for the 'don't panic' signs.
  7. Knowing our luck Matt Owies or Jesse Motlop will probably kick 3 each 😂
  8. At least there isn't as much travel in the back end. That was a killer last year.
  9. I'd like to know how many long bombs went to the goalsquare.
  10. He really stepped up to the plate yesterday. Credit where it is due.
  11. If anything could single handedly turn our season around and open a big carton of momentum all over the place, that would be it.
  12. Yeah I think a Richmond win is gettable
  13. No Clarry and 2 touches for Viney was game over as far as I was concerned. Their midfield was rinsing ours.
  14. Ctrl + Alt + Delete
  15. It would be so great if the rest of the results went our way and we can just go back to how it was pre round 11.
  16. Yeah definitely wasn't referring to you after the first paragraph THBT. The rest was very generalised. Appreciate the words and likewise! Think we've all had a big day, a big big day.
  17. True. He wasn't good though
  18. Certainly felt like most of our goals today were from luck
  19. His worst game in a while.
  20. Today felt like we'd reverted back to certain ways. It didn't look like what we'd been honing in pre season.
  21. Herpa derpa
  22. I need a chalkboard to work out Demonland
  23. It was mountain pack madness
  24. Post of the night for me AF. The bigger picture is important you are right, I'm certainly not giving up on the second half of the season. These flags are hard to win, everyone knows it. Its very hard to evolve the game style. Our coaches have got the massive challenge of overcoming the challenges. We get another chance, I really hope we can come home with a wet sail but there are a few things that need to change.
  25. We have a list full of premiership players, I want us to act like that. Not like a team trying to get into the 8 like Essendon or Carlton, ok with the odd patchy loss but hey we got close! We're aiming for top 4 and playing an OK team on our home deck and lose. We may not all be ropeable as fans but I'd sure hope the team is.
