Bert's getting a fair workout atm.

Great post Die Hard. I definitely believe that we are bringin into the corridor too late and getting sucked in to the pockets too deep in attack, have been saying that for a few weeks. The couple of times that we attacked the goal face we scored. Frustrating to watch but I believe in time it will be sorted.

No bashing going on here, just hyperbole.

I think the desire indicators are a starting point, and a good one at that. It helps answer the first question ie. Do you want to play for the MFC? It Yes please continue to question 2 ....etc
-
Honestly.. It is very hard to address this without breaking demonland rules. i find the content of your posts very average on a consistent basis.

No, absolutely barking up the wrong tree. Our losses would have been far worse without him. He neutralises the ball often when we would would be losing the clearance. He needs support...classy support.
-
I think that's about right. He certainly picks and chooses when to put his body behind the ball. What we are seeing though is improvement. I think we are fairly consistently seeing fatigue setting in with him later in games, whether it be physical or mental. The story of the development of Jack Watts is still only in its second or third chapter.

Had an interrupted pre-season. Hopefully starting to get a bit of conditioning now.

and decision making which is affected by a lack of confidence. Also a lack of viable options due to not enough spread and a failure to demand and command the footy with intent, also affected by a lack of confidence. Lack of intent makes us easier to cover and be pressured and it just flows on. I don't completely buy the lack of skills argument, it is a combination of factors, but most of the problems begin inside the head. Our skills would look a whole lot better if there were viable targets available, this is the issue and has been for a while.

Has responded and is improving, seems to be enjoying his good moments too which is great to see.

The next generation of younger Dees supporters
jabberwocky replied to Maldonboy38's topic in Melbourne Demons
No, it's a genuine concern hence the move into Casey. I agree with the OP it is a very serious issue for the club. One that can be fixed with some exciting footy and some success..... -
He is mentally fragile, if there was a time when he was going to show some steel it was yesterday. He failed to do it several times. AFL teams can no longer carry a player with his deficiencies. He looks ok in the clear with no pressure around him, but goes to water when placed under pressure. Imagine him in a big game where it is is close in the last quarter, or in finals footy???

That post is a disgrace, and what is worse is that you still don't recognise it. Jim Stynes' life will never be tainted by anyone elses actions and I won't let the team performance change my reflection of Jim's life on the day. I will be giving my respects regardless of any any selfish motives to see my footy team have a win. Hang your head in shame. I will delete these post as soon you delete your original one. FFS get a grip.

Stupid post Jaded...get rid of it. Mods I think this is out of line

Davey Morton Blease Strauss Bennell Some these players are supposed to be our line breakers, the skilled quick types that we are desperately lacking due to a lack of form, injury or stalled development. As well as a bonafide class midfielder.

No, should not and won't get another game for some time. He has had many chances.

Crazy idea. We are a better investment because of the stance we have taken, Big step backwards and it simply won't happen. How p)*ed off would would Webjet be after they announced that our handling of the EW matter was one of the reasons that they jumped on board. They would not want to appear on the same jumper.
-
This is why the EW fiasco was never really going to harm the club long term as I posted when it happened. The publicity gained from the club doing the "right" thing at earliest oportunity won us a lot of good publicity. This has paved the way for a sweet publicity ride for the new sponsor full of good cheer, backslapping and well dones. Funnily enough, this will end up being good for the club.
-
Jimmi, I think that the content of the OP is fine, I object to the use of the word "requiem" and the implications that it draws...
-
There is no doubt that this is true, main reason for this is that we have the same senior players, bar Mitch Clark.
-
I have an idea. Lets get ourselves a headkicking coach with a mandate to change the culture of the club, put in place a new LG, demand physical excellence and generally lift the bar and expectations of the playing group.
-
Looks tired, carrying an injury?

Enough Doom & Gloom - Let's Get Positive !
jabberwocky replied to Weedster's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks for this. I have had enough of every Tom, Dick and Harry starting a new thread telling us how crap out club is in 77 different ways. We know what's wrong with the club, there are people at work as we type attempting to sort it. We need some players to return to form this week. I'll start with Jamar and Moloney if fit. Lets win some clearances.
