Doesn't have kids ^^

i would be happy with a 187 point turn around.

I can understand that some will think I've lost the plot, (my left eye has been twitching feverishly and I have put masking tape over my webcam because I think the devil is watching me). It is going to be a difficult seven weeks. It is crucial that the club sticks together during this period.
-
i also think Beyonce was the problem with Destiny's Child, Eddie was the weak link in Van Halen, John Lennon in the Beatles and Mark Knopfler in Dire Straits.

I think HT said it better than I did, i was probably a little bit annoyed when i posted it as I made a couple more discoveries. . Still I didnt post it lightly. Be alert not alarmed (remember that) I will say as fact. 1. There are some that still harbour bitterness towards the way that Bailey was terminated. There were liveliehoods and egoes damaged. 2. These "jilted" people find it difficult to acknowledge that there was a need for change. 3. These same people have stuck the boots into Neeld and some of the current admin, some of this was done here on Demonland, and some of it was done prior to round 1. 4. One of these people has more than one Demonland account and sees fit to pop up under a new name now and then to support themselves. 5. I have vowed to keep one of these people accountable for thier statements. 6. I decided as a result of some of this to step down as a moderator to be able to express my opinions more freely and without any of the restrictions i imposed on myself due to a responsibility I felt to keep things "moderate". I will say I think the owner and the majority of admin of this site do a great job. The moderators themselves in general are responsible for some of the more insightful posts and threads on the site. I ask people when reading posts to consider the motivation of the person posting. And when Neeld or McLardy are being criticised, that you consider whether the criticism is fair and warranted. i don't expect people to agree with every decision that the club makes, but I hope most buy into the direction that it is taking in at least attempting to drag the club into the 21st century.

The man has a clarity and forthrightedness that this club needs. i am backing this bloke to bring our club up to standard, the rank and file need to get behind him as there as some in the old guard that will resist. In fact there was resistance before he had coached his first game and there were those in influential positions attempting to undermine him before he coached his first senior game. There is a big picture here that needs to be sighted.

186 shouldn't be tolerated again, this team is in the process of creating a game style to see that it doesn't have to be. Small minded and short sighted "supporters" need to look past the end of thier nose.
-
Look I don't disagree with any of that however there is a difference between making skill errors, judgement errors, lacking fitness and lacking endeavour. The latter shouldnt be tolerated under any circumstances. With Watts it is one of, or more likely a combination of the the two latter reasons that he had a bad night. Then as i have said earlier i thought he had a real bad night, others saw it differently. I find it a bit ridiculous that people are getting thier noses out of joint because a couple of people have suggested that Watts should play a game or two at Casey for not performing. We need to stop being precious as a club and start treating these players as men. Men who can take a kick in the pants and respond appropriately. The club is revising it's standards, Jack Watts isn't exempt. Neither is Brad Green, Ricky Petterd and the rest of the list. I am happy to put my faith in this group of coaches to get the best out of him. There is a lot of hyperbole on both sides of the Jack Watts argument, most just want to see the bloke succeed. I know I do.

Who are the people and where do they want him gone, do you mean off the list gone or Casey gone?
-
There are a percentage of doodle craniums in the world, the percentage seems to be on the increase. MFC is not exempt unfortunately, nor is my workplace etc etc.
-
Is that the benchmark? So you can get away with playing 2 games without the appropriate effort as long as the third one is ok, then repeat cycle. Get games into the young players but not at the expense of maintaining minimum standards. Watts may still play next week, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was either rested, the sub or demoted. And just because Watts has a bad week and gets demoted doesn't mean anyone has drawn a line through his name. It just means like many other young players, he has had a bad week and has been demoted, both to maintain standards and for his own education and development. Some people are very precious when it comes to our young players.

Other than injury there is nothing to stop this bloke becoming a very good midfielder, has all of the attributes and few weaknesses. need to keep this guy on the park, very important player going forward.
-
Who is this Darling fellow, does he play for Casey or Nth Ballarat? Thanks KC and all the other witnesses who were good enough to contribute, great reading.
-
I think he played well, he wins his own footy.
-
Riewoldt types are a perfect match up for him, he has the agility and tank to mix it with them.
-
There is having a bad night, then there is having a bad night. Only the Coaching staff and JW himself will know the reason behind that performance tonight, there may be mitigating factors. He had a bad night.

I think your post deserves its own thread and to be stickied FN. -
You can make your own judgements, i am just giving you the likely reason.

Out: Watts, Sellar, Dunn In: Clark, Frawley, and Martin or Fitzpatrick
-
Nah RM, we ran out of puff and suddenly they had numbers behind the footy and we were chasing. I saw it being largely a fitness issue. We spent a lot of tickets in the 2nd quarter and couldnt convert. Dunn was ripped off because he failed to follow instructions and centred the ball when it was not on. Neeld would have been seething.
-
i suspect Dunn got the red for not playing to instruction, will be at Casey next week is my best guess.
-
Good post. I think Dunn, Watts and Sellar are all in danger next week.

What are the odds that Dunn will be at Casey next week..

Nice to see signs of honest, accountable footy.
