  1. I believe in Sam
  2. Fully concur especially with above, there is a lot of work that needs to be done. Still I am always amazed at how quickly a football team can change once the penny drops. Confidence is an incredible fuel. I will hang my hat on this hope for now.
  3. Do you know Chris Scott?
  4. I will maintain that Mark Neeld is the best thing to happen to our club in a very long time. Come on now bloke, have made a big statement..back me up now.
  5. I think the end of 2009 was when he received his last contract, and we have got very little from him since. That was the era that Bailey had him playing behind the footy, receiving and delivering mainly because he was one of the only ones who could hit a target. He has forgotten how to win his own footy
  6. You have to eventually, that's where the big sticks are, we pushed wide too often on the approach to goal. It's one thing to kick long into the 50, but you need to attack the goal face a good percentage of those times.
  7. Ask me again in round 12
  8. If he doesn't find a way to re-invent himself under Neeld then he won't play much senior footy. There is no place for a reciever, loose ball only specialist in the current game. He can be good in the clinches using his one touch play and pace to get clear, but he doesn't venture in too much anymore.
  9. Yeah definitely have to get it into the corridor earlier.
  10. We got smashed in the clearances. We need to win the footy in close first.
  11. I thought he showed moments of real intensity and class in the first half, unfortunately he dropped his head and coasted when the game appeared lost, he certainly wasn't on his own.
  12. I can see what he is trying to do, but his gameplan won't work with a losing midfield. Actually there aren't too many viable gameplans that will.
  13. We were pissweak at the clearances and stoppages, you lose as many as we did today you are never going to win. Jamar was slaughtered, the Russian looks like he is really struggling at the moment.
  14. Spot on Crawf, good post. Compliance is not a dirty word. It's not about complying with Kim Jong Neeld, it's about getting the team pulling in the same direction to win footy matches. His style irks some, bad luck. I/we/you/me/us am/are prepared for casualties.
  15. Ok, so our coach takes responsibility for his decisions and uses politically incorrect pronouns... Impatiently awaiting 1.45pm tomorrow.
  16. I don't care where he plays, I don't think Neeld will be using his services as a loose man in defence for a while though.
  17. What is Demonland for if we can't discuss football matters in a reasonable fashion?
  18. On talent an under-achiever at this point. One of the group that will either thrive or be disposed of at the hand of Kim Jong Neeld.
  19. This approach amuses me Biff. We all want to see Jack get better. Jack wants to see Jack get better. If Jack becomes the good player we hope he becomes then we will all celebrate the fact that he has worked on those areas of his game that needed improving and started to get the best from himself. Surely we can evaluate his game as spectators and make judgements on those things he needs to improve on. I can't see anyone (maybe one) who has drawn a line through his name. I wish I could bump the thread that I started over 2 years ago that suggested that Jack was not willing himself to the place where the footy was. I was jumped all over for making a simple observation. There is a lot of hyper-sensitivity about Jack Watts. Neeld's approach is right, he is just a 20 year old kid that is working on his game, no more, no less at this stage.
  20. Evidence based approach: I don't take drugs, I am not a drug addict. Ben Cousins takes drugs, bad things happen. I think the CIA are about to close this thread.
  21. What old55 said about "skirting" the contest is pretty right to me, it's not that he shirks.
  22. I think you miss the point. Using Meth is dumb, continuing to use it is dumber. I am comfortable with that judgement thanks. I will tell my kids that it is dumb, just like my six siblings and I were taught by my folks. We had a few drug addicted people living in our house that were taken in by my mother when I was a teenager. One stayed with us for 2 years and lived in our loungeroom. I saw first hand what drug addiction did. As a result when my mates used to pull the bong out I would go home. Not everyone will have the conviction to do that, but I would rather take the honest approach rather than skirt around the issue. I like the Neeld approach to drugs.
  23. Rubbish argument have heard this one before too. You really want to compare Ben Cousins problems with my having a couple of glasses of red, or a couple of beers after mowing the lawns. In terms of risk it's a bit like comparing driving a car to jumping off a cliff.
  24. Fair enough, but most of our blokes can kick, its creating viable targets for them that we tend to struggle will. When the plan works and players move around the park with more conviction then our kicking efficiency will improve. As for speed we deifinitely need some Blease, Strauss, Bennell and Bail types in the 22 along with Davey.
  25. INT : Magner Grimes Bail & ?
