  1. Would be good for us as more youngsters to pick from in Rookie selection.
  2. Thanks for that explanation. I have edited my post to reflect it not being a statement from Zebraman. Apology to Zebraman that I misread the post.

What a great opportunity lost for a sponsor to be blazed all over the TV and press in the last few days. Watts was everywhere and the publicity would have been fantastic for a sponsor. It is not getting easier to get one. Hopefully we will soon get some good news on this front. The revenue is sorely needed.
  4. Doesn't the word "committment' speak for itself? If there is an agreement in place maybe the MFC would be happy for the City of Casey to pay damages and compensation for a breach of it.
  5. Don't think you have to nominate a boy for him to train. That only applies to delisted players. We could invite several boys down who have not been on a list before to get a feel for them if we wanted to.
  6. Of relevance with Jetta and Bennell is that both indiginous boys come from the same club and area and will join brothers in Whelan, Flash and Aussie at this stage. They should feel welcome and adapt fairly quickly given that scenario. Bail a former Melbourne boy appears so dedicated to playing AFL that he would move to New Guinea to play.
  7. I also only know him from the You Tube and a few enthusiastic posters. However he doesn't have to be Lance Frankilin who is one in a million. As 40th player on the list if he can be as good or better than Miller, Newton and an injured 30 year old Robbo then it is a winner. We are not picking up Wayne Carey with PSD or rookie picks but rather boys that might just improve enough to be able to play AFL. If they were potential stars the brilliant recruiters would have already drafted them. If a boy has size, a bit of magic and some upside, then he would have to be a candidate at this stage.
  8. Given some of those picks are likely we are in the position of possibly getting the next two boys we want with 1st pick in both remaining drafts. I wonder if we are likely to invite our possibles down to have a close look at them or maybe keep our cards close to our chest and watch them at other clubs.
  9. Disagree. If form allows I think Bailey will seek to make a statement. Jetta might be the one to get an early game. Bail has the physical side covered if he is good enough. More importantly I would love to see Spencer start dominating for Casey.
  10. On last years form Meesen is not serviceable and can't be considered an AFL player. He will need a huge effort if he is to ever get a game.
  11. Well done. I will listen in.
  12. Brisbane linked to Nick Davis.
  13. Watched WJ salivating as his name was called out. It was like me when a bowl of trifle is put in front of me.
  14. Only 6 clubs have a pick and we are one of them.
  15. He is another like most of yesterdays picks. That would be good because then we could have 20 half forward flankers. As WJ said elsewhere like the Geelong game at the G we can look forward to the ball coming down and Aussie going up against Scarlett and Harley.
  16. Hang on guys. If as Bailey said we are only going to draft youth, then whoever we take in the PSD will have been overlooked 87 times. So what. Does that mean we don't take anyone because they were all overlooked? Just to take it one more stupid step, why draft someone in the 6th round if they were overlooked in the 5 previous rounds.

Don't think so. I spoke to a Director of the club tonight and he said they were working on a couple of possibles but there was much work to be done.
  18. Thought I was watching Buddy. There must be something wrong with him as he can clearly play. If he is not a drug addict or a murderer I would be having a very good look at him. Could see him as a future marquee player in the Nik Nat mould.
  19. Emma Quayle tipped him at 25 this morning and to be a star. Whoever we take I hope he is a KPP player.
  20. Disagree on Buckley as I feel he has improved significantly. Bartram was injured but I agree he is another that really needs to step up. If we were a good side he wouldn't get a game.
  21. On a quick perusal of our list without naming everyone on it I think the following players need to step up for us to be successful. Frawley, Newton, Dunn, Bate, Sylvia, Moloney, Bell and Jones. All have had a couple of years at least. If Newton's 09 is like 08 I see no future for him. I left out recent draftees and injured players and players who I don't think can improve enough, like Meesen, though I wish he would prove me wrong.
