  1. I thought someone said they saw the incident shown on TV. Was their film or not? The wheel always turns.
  2. Apparently the incident was shown on TV. Sylvia was unaware of it coming and was not in the play. As it was head high and severe and not in the play and the player was severely injured Kennedy will get several weeks IMO. It is the very type of incident the AFL has cracked down on.
  3. Sorry 45 I was typing as you posted. Great minds think alike.
  4. Spoke to him at the Bombers match and he said he felt he hadn't lost any of his speed or agility. Agreed it will take him time to get back to his best.
  5. By God Watson, I think you have it. Get Jones wrapped in cotton wool now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
  6. I thought he was tagging Masten yesterday. I just don't see the point anymore of playing him as a tagger at 192cms when he would be useful to try and straighten us up. We have improved our mid field and he can't be part of the plan there so for heaven's sake move him forward and give him a try. We will end like we did against Geelong 2 years ago in that night game where Aussie was the only forward against Scarlett and a couple of others and we didn't score the whole bloody night. I can see a repeat with Maric as the only forward. With the injuries we are at point desperation as far as the forward line goes.
  7. The real issues as I see them are, we have too many injuries, we over handball and a lot of it is poorly executed, we don't have key forwards of AFL calibre and our foot disposal is poor. These are the issues that need fixing. Some will be fixed this year and others in the following years. We probably should have traded for a Leigh Brown type, Ashley Hansen for example who was available, to fill the gap for a couple of seasons which would have given Watts, Fitzpatrick time to develop. Hindsight is wonderful but instead of Maric at 20 in his year we could have taken a key forward who hopefully now would be reasonable and providing a big target down the guts.
  8. His uncle Danny Frawley was called spud.
  9. And again, what???????????????????????? Who gives a rat's about the opposition, they don't about us.
  10. What???????????????????????
  11. That might cause a few Demon fans to arrive early. Myself included.
  12. Someone may have mentioned this already as I haven't read all posts on this thread but you left out Petterd who has kicked 8 in the last two weeks. Your rotation idea is probably on the mark and Maric may also be added to the forward pocket mix as might Bruce say to a flank. Even Morton on his return could play on a flank or deeper occasionally with his pace and height used to advantage.I have always thought Dunn more suited to a forward role than tagging and now with our new mid fielders he is not needed there. The frustrating one for me is Newton. Now off the list and out of my thoughts for the future he is still around and with a couple of injuries and Watts not yet ready may still get another chance. I always kept hoping that he would produce but he never did. Maybe this is Juice's last hurrah. I wish him the best as we need more options up forward. I am not holding my breath but I always felt that if he could have one good game it could start him off, sadly he never had that one good game.
  13. I don't think he reads his memos.
  14. You have summed up my only positive out of this.
  15. With Morton, LJ and Bell injured for several weeks and with Gawn, Tapscott and PJ longer term there is room to uplift several rookies. However I can only see Spencer, McKenzie, Newton and Hughes as possibles. Meesen is injured and Healey hasn't shown anything yet and I think is also injured. That means that we will be playing with a reduced list for some time and that is without any more injuries. Interesting situation at the beginning of a season.
  16. That is a very positive post. If Mcnamara, Cheney, Strauss and Bail can make AFL standard consistently our depth just gets better. If Jamar, Spencer and Martin can stay fit and with Gawn to come and maybe even Fitzpatrick as a part time ruckman/forward in the future, our big man stocks are not too bad. Apparently Dunn did ok in the forward line and with LJ injured and Watts not ready he may be useful down there. The form of TS and JT yesterday would have made us all happy and they will only get better. Lastly I was pleased to see Gysberts mentioned in the best, even though with those fools calling the game I hardly heard his name called.
  17. i just woke up after fainting after hearing them say that.
  18. It may be Dunn they are talking about and if so they have confused him with Riley Dunn.
  19. Now called Grimes a former Docker. Rubbish.
  20. If I wasn't crying over the injuries, I would be laughing my head off as these tools ride every Crow kick. Please no more injuries for us.
  21. Think he was referring to his change of hairstyle.
  22. IMO unless injured, Joel MacDonald is an absolute certainty.
  23. Spoke to Blease at half time and he was very upbeat about his injury. Said he was ok and felt he hadn't lost any pace or mobility. Said he was 2 weeks away from it. He appears a very confident boy and hopefully can have a good career with the Dees.
  24. Unfortunately, you have accurately summed up the position we are in.
  25. Don't know if anyone has already said this, but it is funny that here we have recruited a boy with the body ready to play, but he can't for four months becuase he is injured.
