  1. I think you are judging Wona a little harsh. He was a first year rookie, who was overweight and not used to the level of fitness required. Yet he still played the bulk of the year in the seniors and kicked goals in an injury plagued team and a crap forward line. How would he have gone in the pocket for the Dogs, Hawks, Saints or Cats, much better I think. He will now have the benefit of a full pre season to get fitter, lose some puppy fat and go into a second season with experience as a senior player. He is worth more than a 50+ pick but who cares as he won't be swapped. I love watching him and look forward to seeing him in the red and blue again this year.
  2. I must be in the other 1% that gets their amusement from your predictions. Keep them coming, I am bored.
  3. I have edited the post to refer to supporters.
  4. This would have to be the most frustrating, useless week in the football calendar for supporters. It is mainly full of misinformation and plain crap. It should be renamed "trade day" as nearly all trades seem to be done from Thursday afternoon until Friday 2.00 pm.
  5. He is married, so it would be his wife missing the credits. BTW what flavour choc top do you prefer, I like chocolate all the way?
  6. I thought Jamar's efforts were reasonable when he was the main ruckman in White's absence. He is certainly no star though. If we are not trading for another ruckman he should be kept as we would only have fill ins like PJ and Martin, with Meeson and Spencer to come. Not a great group of ruckmen. Spencer may make it in time, but Meeson probably won't. We will obviously look at another ruckman in the expanded Rookie draft.
  7. Interesting point. Are the AFL trying to compromise the PSD?
  8. According to Channel 10 news tonight, there are now four clubs chasing Green, Pies, Swans, Saints and Hawks.
  9. Essendon and Hawthorn leading the hunt for O'Keefe according to Channel 7. I hope the Dons win the chase leaving Hawthorn hungrier for Green.
  10. There was no mention of giving picks.
  11. Would Hawthorn laugh at it? 1. I said Green could be part of a deal. 2. Thorp and Dowler have 4 games between them and are not in the Hawks best 22. 3. Green is in our best 22, came third in B&F, can play forward, back or on the ball and is a beautiful kick and a goal scorer. He could add to their flags in the next couple of years and has 185 games of experience. 4. Thorp and Dowler have to get past Buddy, Roughie, Cyril, Williams, Brown etc to get in the side, all of whom are pretty young with years left in their careers.
  12. That was the deal forecast in the Pennski file. I am going off to get a black and white cookie and a cup of soup.
  13. Dowler 195 92 16/12/87 3 games Forward Thorp 194 87 25/12/88 1 game Forward has played wing and down back.
  14. Both boys were mentioned in today's Age as being available for the right deal. It also said the Hawks were looking at Green especially if the O'Keefe deal failed, which was possible because of his high asking price for 4 years. Could we do a deal for both Hawks involving Green to Hawthorn as part of the deal? It would go a long way to solving our key forward problem when coupled with Watts in a couple of years. I would rather something like this, which could have a big upside for us, than trading for bit part players who will have no influence and then be delisted in a couple of years.
  15. Whether true or not mate, I enjoy reading your posts. It helps relieve my boring day and gives me something to ponder. Keep it up, as this week will be over quickly and then there are six boring weeks until the draft.
  16. McIntosh turned 24 in September.
  17. That excited that you posted the topic twice.
  18. Bob is correct. He can be traded by us. What is the point of it otherwise.
  19. Is it just me, that every time I see a player linked to us, soon after he lists his preference as another club?
  20. Stop reminding me. We were offered Sewell and he was happy to come across.
  21. He could go to Freo for a player swap. Maybe Campbell will go to the Dogs as they are desperate for a key forward and Hall is not going there.
