  1. Could be pretty crowded there with Clark, Dawes, Howe, Sylvia, Pedersen, Fitzpatrick, Gawn, Byrnes, Davey, Rodan, Sylvia, Jetta, Blease, Petterd, etc.
  2. I would ring Lions and offer Martin and 49 for 33, then give 33 to Saints for Ray and pick in high 30"s or low 40's and give that to North for Pedersen.
  3. All of that looks fine except the last line. PA will not clear Jacobs for 49. North however have higher picks that are not too high.
  4. Gys to North for Pedersen and a pick that gets Ray. Then when Tippett goes to Swans, we do Martin and 49 to Lions for 33 and keep the pick.
  5. That is the reverse of the Martin deal and if you wanted to get rid of Gys you would do it. We get Ray and Pedersen for Gys. Then we could trade Martin and 49 to Lions for 33 and keep 33.
  6. If the Dogs get him then we had the ability to get him first.
  7. If he played for North they would want pick 1.
  8. 2 days to go. I think the best way to deal with it tomorrow, is to ignore it and then have a look on Demonland at about 6.00PM.
  9. That is exactly how I see it. Getting the Martin part done is the hard bit. If that happened, we would get Ray and Pedersen for Martin and a pick we wouldn't have used anyway.
  10. You need a minimum of 3 picks but upgrades from the rookie list count.
  11. The more I think of it, it feels like we are trying to get Martin to Lions for 33 and maybe we give back a late pick and then 33 to Saints for Ray and a pick back to us, better than our 49, which would go to North for Pedersen. That way, if it happened, we would achieve Ray and Pedersen for Martin and a pick we were never going to use. The Martin trade would be the hard bit, as the other clubs would do the deals quickly IMO.
  12. The rumours continue. Now said that he has done medicals at Cats and Blues and that Dons and Lions also interested.
  13. I would imagine if we secured 24 in a deal we would keep it. That would mean, unless we do another player deal, North give Pedersen for 49 or it's off. As for Ray it could take another player swap to get done.
  14. The Dogs are infatuated with him. He will not get past pick 6.
  15. Has anyone heard anything about Petterd? Can't believe a couple of clubs aren't looking at him.
  16. Herald Sun bloke on Draft Chat can't believe what North is asking for a player they only gave 2 games to. Says they won't play him, but want to play hardball getting rid of him. He was a mature recruit at 25. North at the same time are offering peanuts for Jacobs. They will end up with a reputation like Essendon.

Agree generally with your thrust. Rodan is an unusual one. He would cost nothing as a delisted player and has exceptional speed and a strong body. If his knees hold up he could be a damaging player for a couple of seasons. He can break packs and set up goals. He can also be a bit selfish in his game, but if that was modified he could be a great, cheap get for a couple of years. IMO he would be a better player than Byrnes. Interesting to see if FD go for him. Will depend on how many we clear and delist.

It just shows that if you are not one of the actual people involved doing the deals or a confidant of them, you don't know what the hell is going on. I would have thought there would have been a few discussions between the parties by now, clearly not. Nearly 200 posts and 8 pages and most of it just speculation or hope.
  20. Don't think we are chasing any big bananas, only a couple of grapes.
  21. I'm with you Robbie. Rivers and Moloney played about 40 games this year and the pick we got for them is not good enough for a bloke who played 2 games for North and couldn't get into the AFL until he was 25.
  22. That's their selection, why does it have to be ours?
