  1. You better read it again, he was fair and blamed no one but himself for his loss of form. He didn't blame the club at all and said he enjoyed being with us. All he said was that the WC mids trained harder and that is probably correct.
  2. Don't think he sees that as a realistic option.
  3. Robbo on AFL 360 said that if we get belted by Freo he expects a big press conference by Tuesday.
  4. We will have a new Government in a few months and maybe a new Coach in a few weeks.
  5. Didn't take long for it to go off.
  6. Nearly every thread I see started on Demonland is full of gloom and doom. Can't we get one thread with some good news for a change.
  7. They are obviously not known for their use of the banana.
  8. It can be done though. As I said the banana bread at Starbucks was ordinary and I have had banana smoothies that were warm and tasteless. One must treat the banana with respect.
  9. Thanks will look forward to it. Shared a banana smoothie with Mrs. Redleg yesterday from a place called the Avenue and it was great.
  10. The AFL need us to be competitive and have stated it several times. They have their man fixing us up. I somehow don 't think they will allow us to be plundered which would destroy any chance of us getting better.
  11. Me neither.
  12. That does p.ss me off no end.
  13. Well certainly not for banana bread.
  14. And if they did, with their skill, they would fall off.
  15. If only we had players named Lane and White.
  16. Agree. I think if anything he was missed by Casey, where he should finish off this year.
  17. The Starbucks coffee was ok the banana bread tasted like stale cardboard.
  18. I was sure this was Flash's last season, but if he plays like he did against the Tiges for the rest of the season, he will get another one at least. He is one of the few Dees who can kick a football accurately. He can also snare a goal or two.
  19. All of our Jacks have missed games this year and several will have missed a large part of the season by the end of it.
  20. There is order back in the world, I had a piece of banana bread at starbucks tonight.
  21. Not that I posted it, but one howler was the dropped chest mark from the pass by Flash about 15 metres out, The ball then went down for a Tigers goal and 12 point turnaround. At the time we were a few points down, in the second quarter. The squibbed mark was when he stayed out instead of spoiling or attempting the mark, when he was in line with the ball, which was then marked and goaled by the Tigers. If he had tried he would at least have spoiled the mark and stopped the goal. Can't recall the other howler, maybe the poster will advise.
  22. What is involved in the kick in? 1. The ability to kick a football accurately to a team mate. Problem: We have few with this attribute. Solution: Don't let those who can't kick accurately kick out. 2. A plan for kicking out or kickout strategy. Problem: We don't seem to have one or one that the players understand. Solution: Get a coach who has some idea how to implement a kick in plan and is able to communicate it to the team. 3. Players being willing to work to make a kick in plan effective. Problem: Our players don't work to make position and give options. Solution: Play players who are prepared to work and who buy in. 4. The ability to keep possession after the kick in. Problem: We can't. Solution: Implementing a series of drills over summer that deal with ball movement from full back to full forward under severe pressure. 5. The old perennial, our players turn over the ball much more than the other teams. Problem: Too many of our players lack AFL standard skill. Solution: Recruit players who can dispose of a ball under pressure and eliminate those that can't. Make that a high priority in your list of attributes sought in recruits, or players you trade for. PS. Feel free to add more as required. I was using KISS in this post.
