He is far better than ok, but agree not brilliant. I think he has beaten every opponent this year and very few goals have been scored directly on him.
-
Gee some on this site must or should be embarrassed with some of their posts on this kid last year.
-
You think it is terrible logic to "consider" someone who kicked 5 goals earlier this year, at the ground we are playing at and also 5 goals the last time we played the team we are playing. By your logic if Oliver has two bad games we drop him and don't bring him back until he earns it in the twos.

Gold Coast led by 17 points when the teams played in 2017 before Melbourne kicked 14 goals to six in the second half. Jeff Garlett starred with 24 disposals, eight marks and five goals. This on top of his 5 against the Lions at the Gabba a few weeks back, means he should be seriously considered despite some poor form recently. Vince deserves a rest after a hectic schedule and another short turnaround interstate. For me it would be ANB and Vince out and Salem and Jeff in. Save Viney for the G next week.

The hip injury may have derailed Maynard's season.
-
I just think it is safer to avoid the trip, on top of the comeback and wait another week.
-
I think it is a great part of footy seeing which sons of past players might make it.
-
You missed the point. The 9th is against us.
-
You can always find better players overlooked with the benefit of hindsight.
-
Possibly.

In hindsight and only that, it is a pity we didn't take the 2 top 10 picks offered by Port for pick 2. We may now have had 1 or 2 extra good players with us as a result.
-
If Salem is fit he comes in, probably for ANB, who has had low disposals and high turnovers, despite his pressure acts. I would rest Vince for a game and save him the travel as well, on the back of a 6 day turnaround and a heavy recent load. That makes a spot for Viney if he is to come straight in. Garlett is the interesting one, with poor recent form, but 5 match winning goals last time at the Gabba. To be honest, I would save Viney the travel and play him the next week at the G against the Blues and just do the two changes above, Salem and Jeffy for ANB and Vince. BTW any talk of dropping Spargo is mad, he is a revelation. Has not made a mistake. We need to get as many games into him, Bayley and Weid as possible. PS. A big hello to the Oscar haters of last year, he has been nothing short of sensational and is becoming one of our most important players.

Well you were at odds with nearly every club at that time. BTW, until being screwed by the club, by being made captain at 21 of a shambles of a side and then copping a few foot injuries, JT was a good player for us who looked headed to playing 200 games with us.
-
Those Blues just keep on breaking records. Here is hoping they create two more in the next two weeks, to go 0-9.
-
We need to get over this one, as both the GWS player and JT were clearly rated ahead of Dusty by every club. Port even offered us 2 picks under 10 for JT and we refused. Kelly in reverse. But back to Dusty, he was offered to all clubs by his manager about 3 years ago and the Tigers were prepared to deal, but not one club stepped up. That is after he had played about 5 years with the Tigers and had been seen by every club. So how can you go back and criticise his not being taken as an untried 18 year old, in front of the 2 highest ranked players in the draft? The two I can't get over and I know we need to move on, are Jimmy instead of Ollie and Lucas Cook instead of anyone else.

Tim is actually a nice bloke. He is also self effacing and funny. The dislike for him on here is not deserved. One comment and some on here become so precious it is just ridiculous.
-
I have been pleasantly surprised by his ruckwork since his return to the side. He actually looks quite at home there and has created several clearances for us with his work. As he gets more games under his belt and develops physically, he could be a very good player for us with his versatility as a key forward/relieving ruck. Having two or three rotating key tall forwards is certainly straightening us up.

Jetta was punched in the face by Dunstan, with the umpire right there. No reversal. No free. No report. No nothing.
-
Totally agree Jr this is crap. Why is Goodwin not defending Jesse like other coaches would and do. Why is the punch to Jetta not being highlighted. The umpire was a few metres away and side on with an unimpeded view and paid the free instantly. So therefore unless Jesse gets a smashed windpipe he is a stager. Give me a break. Ben Brown now goes to ground every arm chop and gets a free. No one calling him a stager. No other footy stories today obviously so trash someone else’s reputation.

Not sure if CP and Hogan play or if we win or lose, but playing them without Nick and Joey is a big plus for us.
-
Be careful of the poison ivy.
-
Pity ANB can't do that in a match.
-
Kane can't see the difference between a player swearing and an official swearing at a player, right in front of the crowd on the boundary line.
-
Fair enough. We currently have 5 top 22 players on the injury list while the Saints have 2.
-
We now have 11 players on the injured list, the Saints have 4.
