  1. Looks like the injuries are catching up with us.

Prince Park. Smith was playing on Leigh and killing him. Smith was in the State side in the game to come. Leigh king hit him and I think broke his jaw, as well as knocking him out cold. Smith was stretchered off, missed the State game and I think most of the rest of the season. Absolute thug act.
  3. Agree, Harmes has been one of our biggest improvers this year and is an automatic best 22.

After the ball is disposed of by Saad and is about 10 metres away from him and is just about to be caught by Tip-Mc, while Saad is looking at the ball, Nathan Brown takes 3-4 steps and bumps Saad, who didn't see him coming. The bump is illegal and the consequence is a factor. Brown will be suspended

I don't think I have ever heard anyone call Leigh a Champion. He was a brilliant player, but I agree with you, if you use the word champion in a best and fairest sense, he falls far below the criteria. He would be the first picked in my team though, for all of his talent and aggression.

Gets worse. A few days ago Leigh was asked why he hadn't spoken to Bruns, who has reached out several times to meet him. Leigh said simply because he didn't want to and in a fairly pathetic comment said " now you have reminded me of the incident and refreshed it". He was angry at that. Pretty pathetic answer from a so called tough guy. I saw him king hit Steven Smith and Peter Giles from behind, knocking them out and causing further damage and they were two of the most vicious, unprovoked, assaults I have ever seen on a football field. While I think he is the best player all around, I have seen, he was also a thug. Not that he was the only one of course, in days gone past, but the condemnation of Gaff for one incident, when compared to these thugs of the past is quite startling.
  8. Why are those two sentences together in your post? The second is correct.

Lot of snowflakes in Brisbane then. Dons and Pies favoured, though Roos and Saints will obviously join in and offer him the suburbs of North Melbourne and Moorabbin.
  10. Are you seriously suggesting that Pedo plays on McVeigh? McVeigh would be running off him all game.
  11. No, playing Petty instead of Frost did.
  12. Watch the replay of last week's game and you will know why.
  13. But everybody tells me that ANB is the running and pressure king. I would rather Spargo concentrates on things he can do, which is kick goals and use the ball well, things which ANB can't.
  14. McVeigh must not be allowed to run free. ANB must play defensive forward role and shadow him completely. No free space, no way he is the get out option. Do that properly and their game is affected.

Unlike others, when the Coach has declared a player will play, it has turned out that way this year.
  16. That selection of Petty over Frost against the Saints and also not selecting Frost against Port is looking great now, isn't it?
  17. Redleg replied to What's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Not according to the Coach.

Disagree. Think Frost will start on Buddy.

    No worries.

    That is a lovely post.

Yep. If we have decided that King and Filipovic aren't going to make it, then Roughead would be a good get to back up Max, until Bradtke is ready, or someone else comes along. He is 27 and could easily play for 3-4 years and he is a " Premiership Ruckman."

I heard that, but then shortly after it was said that Gaff will meet Andrew. Not sure if there is some confusion in the reporting. If he is meeting Gus, then we are likely in the picture to get him, you would think.

And your answer to my question is?
  24. Redleg replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    I don't know.

Gus told you that has he, or you are just speculating as if it is a fact?
