Look at my post again, not what you quoted. You also have permission to stay around as one of our most beloved sages.

But that’s the point, I don’t think he was the right pick at the time . I recall he was injured when we drafted him and he never showed anything over here. He was rather short and dumpy and was supposed to be an outside mid but was slow. His skills were poor also. I think whether or not we got Ollie he was a poor pick. The main point of my post is that at pick 4 you should be able to pick a player not a dud.

That could be true, but the fact is that whether or not we got Ollie, we totally wasted pick 4 when we could have and should have got another good footballer.

I know I should have gotten over it by now, but every time I see Ollie Wines, I think of Toumpas and want to vomit and cry. I know Toumpas is no Ollie, but he wasn’t even an AFL standard player and taken at 4. Just sad. A terrible wasted opportunity.

Clubs nearly always play players against their old side.

    Indigenous version.
  11. Big first game for the kid if he is picked. Congrats and good luck if he is.
  12. Langdon is being chased by several clubs and it would cost more than that if a deal could be done.

Did you notice what the boys were eating at half time of their games? When the cameras went into our rooms at a few games, several of the boys were enjoying a banana, to boost their energy levels. The secret ingredient of our success this year.

Assuming Moore and Reid don't play, they have Grundy, Cox and Mihocek who are tall and can go forward. We have Gawn, Oscar and maybe Smith who could go to them, plus whoever we bring in. Joel Smith is basically the same height as Mihocek. Frost is taller , quicker, more experienced and stronger than Joel. It will be interesting to see how we go for it.
  16. We wouldn’t have Oscar as I recall if you were our List Manager. Lewis and Vince are near the end and that will create spaces. I wouldn’t clear Stretch who is good with ball in hand and can set up play.
  17. Very difficult to find someone to drop for a player who deserves to come in. Would have said Tyson but he isn’t in the side and ANB has had a couple of good weeks. Harmes is firing. Maybe if Pies went really small up forward he could play hbf but with Mihocek in that won’t happen. I am struggling and what a great position it is, to have for us, with most of the 22 doing well.

Since when does the Coach decide the team and not DL?
  19. It seems Stretch has been BOG or close 3 times now and surely has to be rewarded.

Think you are right. Frost also has the pace to make up ground, if he is slightly away from Cox and the ball is coming in high.
  21. Max would have kicked that goal against the Cats if he had gone to the camp.
  22. Well at least we have some options depending on opposition picked; Frost, Hunt, Smith, Pedo, Tyson, Bugg, Wagner, Stretch, Dec and probably next year Petty and Baker. Each of those can fill in here and there depending on needs.
  23. It doesn’t hurt to hope. I hope you are right.
  24. They obviously want him to do it a couple of times in the VFL.
