  1. Outstanding TEAM win!
  2. I’m quietly confident if singing a very rousing post-match rendition of the Grand Old Flag. Our new found maturity, and ability to readily change up / adjust our tactics to suit the game situation, will see us home by around three goals.
  3. Gee that was disappointing. We looked lethargic from the outset, and I reckon we had run our race before the first bounce.
  4. We Demonlanders have experienced far too much ‘flat earth’ to be in the least concerned about what that Society thinks. Onward and upwards Dees!
  5. I was at the game, and the work that was put into Clarrie off the ball was unbelievable. His numbers were understandably down. The umps need to put a stop to this sort of crap.
  6. 6. Gawn 5. Pickett 4. Langdon 3. Hunt 2. Hunt 1. Salem
  7. After watching the GWS game last week, I described them as a ‘rabble’, and predicted that only a poor attitude would bring us undone. I’ve revised that a bit as the week has progressed, because surely pride will drive them to do better after the hammering they’ve copped in the media (MFCSS?). I still favour us to win, but I’m a little nervous now. Cheer loud and strong all you Demonlanders coming to Manuka tonight!!!
  8. I really liked the way we adapted to the conditions, depending on which way were kicking. In fact, we've been extremely adaptable over the last month, and it's become a great 'strength' to take into a finals campaign. Two weeks to go girls! Jeez, I love that song ...... especially when it's belted out after a final!
  9. I'm likely to have a spare guest pass graz (friend now unlikely to be in a position to attend). PM me to firm up if you wish.
  10. Good on our Club for getting on the front foot and clarifying the situation, and damnation to the Media (especially CW) for their gutter journalism.
  11. GWS are a rabble. Based on that performance, complacency is all that will beat us next week. Stay focused Dees!
  12. Only 1/4 time, but so far not seeing anything from GWS that will seriously challenge the Dees on Easter Sunday in Canberra.
  13. 6. Oliver 5. Salem 4. Petracca 3. Gawn 2. Pickett 1. Tomlinson ANB and Langdon very worthy, but we don’t have sufficient votes.
  14. Defence outstanding as a group. Tomlinson and Salem the cream tonight IMO. Last week it was May and Lever. Becoming the envy of the AFL. You can build a Flag around a great back half.
  15. Oskar Baker confirmed as medical sub.
  16. Thrilling stuff. Great belief and determination, with most players lifting a notch in the last, got us over the line. Couldn't be happier with that 'come from behind' performance. Do Dees!
  17. They look better than us but we are hanging around ....... close enough, but we need a big last quarter. Time for Paxy, who is having a stinker by her lofty standards, to lead from the front.
  18. I’m really looking forward to this the game, but as jumpy as a ‘cat on a hot tin roof’ about the result. We will need to clean up our clearance from stoppage work to stay with them, but if we can do that, our fitness, and their shorter preparation after a tougher game last week, might see us get over them in the last. With fingers firmly crossed, Dees by seven points.
  19. Incredibly bad luck for Goldie (hamstring tendon), and we'll tymiss her drive out of defence enormously. Hopefully the return of Meg Downie for her first game at AFLW level for the year will offset this somewhat. Important game in preparation for a strong finals campaign.
  20. Many of us die-hard Dees believe that we could have struck gold with Kozzie. Wouldn't it be amazing if he announced his 'arrival' to the wider football community against the Saints on Saturday night? Against Freo he looked to me to be primed and ready to go. Just a gut feeling that tomorrow night he might take centre stage.
  21. We are in the back row of the same stand. I’ll keep a eye out for you and the lad mate. It’s been a while!
  22. We got ours 9:40am. Apparently the problem was solved early. Go for it now Demonlanders.
  23. Agree 100%. They got on the front foot immediately. My email from them time stamped 9:04am.
  24. Exactly the same problem Sue ........ and we live in Canberra. Grrrr!
  25. Rarely misses a target i50 .... a scarce commodity at Melbourne. The more he gets the ball, the more valuable he will become. An important player (gut feeling says 'on the rise!').
