  1. Yep, fantastic photos! Of course, you often just see what you want to see in these things, but it looks to me like the boys are relishing the hard work and camaraderie, ...................... but the absolute stand-out shots for me are a couple towards the middle, which highlight what seems to be a great rapport between Max and Harley. What a great captain and mentor Max will be for Harley.
  2. Love this quote from the article: "AFL.com.au understands he privately passed other tests in recent weeks, including sprints away from the club's main training oval at Gosch's Paddock."
  3. Huge thanks to our track reporters ........ greatly appreciated by all Demonlanders, and even more so when they deliver [mostly] good news! ?
  4. My bold prediction is that by the mid-season break it will be 14/ 5
  5. You need to add Viney to the mix of inside mids TJ6. I expect that's the reason that Harmes is being tried at HB. I reckon he has the attributes to make a decent fist of it, but obviously, only time will tell.
  6. Geez, the Harley bit got me again! Bleary eyed right now! A 70+ year supporter, and I've never loved this Club more. I'm sure the red wine is contributing, but I'm so excited for this season. Go Dees
  7. According to the Preview, this will be the penultimate episode of a 5 part series.
  8. This series is probably the best stuff that our Media people have ever produced. The Preview is tantalizing .... just as it should be!
  9. Absolutely! I'd forgotten how valuable he can be when he's 'on song'. His dash and line breaking abilities are great assets, but there's limited opportunity to use them playing out of the forward pocket. I suspect that he's being 'squeezed out' of our best 22 because he hasn't yet found a position to call his own. His confidence is consequently down, and he's unsure of himself right now. I hope he gets it back, because at his best, he can be a 'point of difference' player.
  10. Well we maintained the pressure and won well. I'm back to being happy and proud rather than bitterly disappointed!
  11. Much better than last week so far. Just maintain this level of pressure for the second half and we win.
  12. He played and was solid. Kicked one and missed a couple that he would normally kick. Dropped a couple of speccies. Happy with his game.
  13. Spargo, Lockhart, C.Wagner pressing their claims. Our forward half pressure was fantastic to see.
  14. This will be the difference between winning and losing.
  15. I was confident we'd make the top 8 until I read the heading on this thread. Damn him!
  16. With some notable exceptions, I was disappointed with our tackling on the weekend. Too many didn't stick.
  17. I love it! Forget about mid-season media speculation and distractions about where he will be in 2021. The sole focus is on football in 2020. Great stuff Tracc. No denying it, the stars are starting to align for the MFC!
  18. I love the notion of having a captain and a vice captain and no leadership group as such. A sign of maturity, and confidence that everyone in the playing group can and will be a 'leader' when their turn comes. I congratulate our Club for being prepared to back their judgement, and break away from the current AFL trend.
  19. Agree Wise. Fills the heart with pride and the eyes with tears. Outstanding stuff!
  20. That was ***** brilliant!! Coming on top of yesterday's win, to say I'm excited would be an understatement! ......... and by the way, I don't know whether ***** is 'legal' language on this site, but if it's permitted on the official MFC site, the Demonland censors are obliged let it through!
  21. I reckon it was Vanders' best game for a while!
  22. Weid was solid playing out of position. If he had clunked 3 or 4 of those marks when he had first hands on the ball, his game would have gone from 'solid' to very good.
  23. A good solid pre-season hitout. Three positives: Fitness - we finished all over them Petracca Langdon Important things to work on: Kicking generally, but especially into the forward 50 Sticking tackles Overall: I'm very content. Add Gawn, May, Fritta and Gus to the lineup and we will be hard to beat in 2020.
