  1. Perfect selection and timing, I reckon. I always feel that there's something special about a youngster making his debut for the MFC. The reports from Casey watchers, and the article posted above by Bates Mate only increase my excitement. I hope he has a rippa game and quickly becomes a regular.
  2. Good on him. He has earned a bit of luck!

Excellent and professional all around. Just what was needed!
  4. ............ and don't forget longer-term prospect Austin Bradtke.
  5. With his undoubted talent, Tracc has the ability to be a game breaker, but 50 games in we are still waiting. If he could consistently deliver on his potential it would be huge for our footy club, but I'm not convinced that the work-rate is there, right now. I expect that he arrived at this point in his career on talent alone, but that's not sustainable in today's game. All dessert and no dinner is not good enough.
  6. Dean Kent is a tease. He has some strong attributes as a small forward, but we only see them spasmodically. First, because his body has seems unable to hold together for sustained periods, but I also because he can be a lazy footballer, and not do the team things, especially when things aren't going his way. I recon we would need to see marked improvements in these areas for him to become a regular 'best 22' in a Goodwin coached team. I'm happy for him to look for opportunities elsewhere, but he might be looking for a long time if he sees himself as a midfielder. We'd be lucky to get a 4th rounder for him, but Jason Taylor can work some magic with late picks.
  7. Set up some membership tents outside the 'G' after 5:00pm on Monday. Irresistible!

    No probs here.
  9. Not sure how you can draw that conclusion di4e. Harmes and ANB are solid foot-soldiers ....... Gaff is a match-winner, and would take our midfield work and forward entries to a brand new level.
  10. Agree TPF39. Also, it's easier to manage on-field minutes (to say 65% game time) at VFL level, than it is to do the same in AFL without compromising team results.
  11. I agree 100% guys, but the key for me is encapsulated in daisy's final sentence.
  12. I'm proud that our Club has a social conscience, and applaud this decision. Too many lives and families are 'wrecked' by addiction to pokies.
  13. Hope lives eternal od. Stupid by my own admission, but true none-the-less.
  14. Most unlike you Andy, but yes, it is a silly question. It's impossible to even contemplate what Demonland might look like if we miss out again. Can Mods and Administrators be suspended?
  15. Thanks for that.. I've heard nothing about the injury, other than a brief comment from Goody in his post match presser where he said Nev should be right for JLT2.. Obviously nothing too serious.
  16. Nah mate. I'm waiting for a Flag, so probably some time later this year for me ......... that's on the assumption that they will do it for a wrinkled old fart like me. Most likely require a general anaesthetic.
  17. I loved it when we reverted to our traditional navy after our 11 year dalliance with royal blue (I remember the advertising slogan 'back in blue' like it was yesterday), and now I love the new clash rig for the nostalgia factor, and the million memories of the late and great Robbie. Anyway, as all AFL traditionalists would know, white was always the domain of the maggots.
  18. I'm with you 100% findee. Some say it's madness, I say it's a sign of strength!
  19. ^^ ditto, echo, ditto, 100%!!
  20. What's the golfing equivalent of backing into a pack to take an overhead grab Dee?
  21. From the highlights that we've all seen, this kid looks exciting. If he lives up to that promise, and retains his flowing locks, he'll add to our growing list of cult heroes quicker than you can say 'ginger ninja'. That's got to be a good thing!
  22. I love the fact that he has fought back from previous disappointment to be drafted. Work ethic and leaving no stone un-turned is the new Melbourne way!
  23. I'll nominate Petracca. I''m confident that he has the tools, but does he have the desire and dedication? Genuine question, but no reason to believe otherwise.
