  1. I initially posted this as sarcasm as everyone is posting about silly similarities "Stantion etc".. I deleted this post soon after I realised I was posting on Demonland, where someone will go out of their way to quote it using statistics and miss the obvious sarcasm completely.. Young Dee proved my initial thoughts to a tee.. lmao
  2. Seems like Hogan could do with Melbourne muscular therapy, as it's footballers first point of call.. It's where they "address the Cause of Your Pain, Not Just the Symptoms"
  3. Either Salem knows a pressure point that can easily toss opponents without much strength like a Bruce Lee punch, or the player tripped on Salems leg and he just guided him to the ground. Watching that you tube clip it seemed like he tripped on Salem's leg and was guided
  4. I'm sorry, but being a critic of a professional player and then him delivering in one game doesn't warrant an 'apology'. If Pedersen has this ability and chooses when to actually run hard or try he should be owing us an apology for making him watch those god awful games he has previously produced since arriving at the club. I admit, I was and still am a harsh on Pederson, but if he continues this good form I wont be apologising for an AFL footballers pedigree of skill and determination he has finally found, but rather a sense of admiration.
  5. Step 1) Trade Hogan + 2nd round pick or player to Fremantle for Fyfe Step 2) Draft Peter Wright with pick number 1
  6. Seriously what's with all the dropped marks that seemed like absolute sodas?
  7. Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but Jack Viney must have been practicing his kicking, because nearly every pass was delivered lace out beautifully.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Holding the Ball rule is called when a player takes TOO long to dispose of the ball? Handball, Spillage or not. If a player has a ball, takes three bounces along the wing, gets chased down and tackled but handballs it as soon as he gets tackled that is taking TOO long to dispose the football. The other rule is incorrect disposal, where a player would just let the ball drop once tackled. I'm sick of seeing players take SO long to dispose of it, get tackled and get a quick cheap handball out, and the umpires call 'Play on' because they saw a correct disposal. Correct or not, they took TOO long meaning it's holding the ball.
  9. Roos and the football recruitment department will have to play the recruitment of free agency strategically at the end of the year. If the likes of Frawley departs and we recruit someone like Mundy we will miss out on a compensation draft pick as the Afl will deem it as fair. Would we want to recruit a free agent in a high age bracket and possibly miss out on a draft pick that will come after our first pick at seasons end?
  10. Not to mention he said we went with another 'Scattergun' approach in regards to our drafting & trading in picking up Vince, Cross & Tyson... Nek minnit they are our top 3 leading disposal getters and are forming into a credible midfield unit. He is a [censored]
  11. What I'm craving to see is Mitch Clarke back in the squad in the ruck. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Mitch Clark rucking is like having an extra midfielder who is tall, a lovely kick, can mark all around the ground and great below his knees, not to mention a ferocious tackler. Mitch in the middle provides so much more than just ruck taps, he is like a gazelle and can provide great service around the ground. Something I feel we lack in Spencer, gawn and Jamar. This is why I'm hoping Hogan and Dawes both get on the point in tandem with Clarke.
  12. Never seen such ferocity, ball movement and a willingness to RUN to back and forth to get numbers to a contest. I was amazed at how we were handballing from one to the other within the tight contest and then free up movement to generate a clearance and deprive the opposition of possession.
  13. Walked past him at the shops.. he was admiring my physique and stared me down, when all I could do was laugh at his on the inside.. and he is a professional athlete. LIFT CAMERON!
  14. e25 LMAO, that guy was an absolute germ.. Back to the Toumpas topic, I back him to flourish within the next few seasons surrounded by a much better and more experienced midfield. With the likes of Jones, Viney, Vince, Cross winning hard balls and feeding out to Toumpas who I feel has great composure in traffic and then delivering inside 50 will be the best part of his game. His decision making around the ground will set us up for the years to come. He just needs his hands more on the ball, which will come with our midfield getting better by the year.
  15. I was real excited when JKH slipped to us at pick 40, really did not think he was going to giving his skill. Seems like by training reports he is surprising a lot and looking the goods!
  16. We need to see drastic yet realistic improvement next year in order for Chip to stay I believe. If there are quality signs of us turning it around and playing very good football like Port Adelaide has done this year, I have every bit of confidence he will sign. I think this is a make or break season for a player of his calibre
  17. If this guy slips as a late pick I would be very keen to have him on board. Has a built upper body so won't be a flimsy rake and will keep putting on mass. Might turn into a really good goal sneak and someone with aggression in putting forward line pressure on. Yes from me.
  18. I think if he is there at 38, Hawthorn will snag him.
  19. You just have to look at where it has all began in Mumford quitting, Jesse White being moved on and now Jed. It's a process which has not finished as over the next week and few years we will see a lot of players being traded and downgraded in order to achieve more salary cap room including pay cuts. Chop (Jed) and I over a few beers really wasn't thrilled in the idea he has spent a lot of time in Sydney developing and not getting the game time in which he deserves. Now the addition of Franklin and Tippet as forward line options cuts it back for him even more regarding game time. Choppy reckons a lot more players will follow suit as the culture has definitely been swayed and poor old Longmire being 'star gazing' as he put it. P.s. Chop (Lamb chop) is his nick name we used to call him as a teenager growing up back in old country Yarram.
  20. Had a chat to Jed Lamb, didn't like the direction of the club. Longmire has moulded into the form of Voss in his first few years at the club in looking at drafting superstars in Tippet and Franklin and cutting the rest. A lot of players not happy.
  21. Solid build, makes good decisions, seems to hit guys lace out and takes the game on. His highlights were impressive.
  22. Variety of options to choose from nonetheless. It's not a risky business having pick 9 in this years draft, which is why I was so glad to see us trading pick 2 and netting Dom Tyson and pick 9 in the process. If Freeman is snapped up at pick 6 it won't be the end of the world. Crouch, Bontempelli, Sheed, Lennon and Salem all have major upside. In saying that if it comes down to it who would we prefer most out of that remainder? Would it be Sheed?
