  1. You know what... I have a feeling Geelong may disregard Dangerfield and go very hard at Cameron. I think he is worth a lot more to Geelong as their depth is lacking in their forward line. They rely so heavily on Hawkins that if he goes down they don't really have a good key target to kick to, so they have to swing Harry Taylor forward which ultimately upsets their structured backline. That saying, that'll potentially open the door for us to then target Dangerfield with less competition provided my initial statement is correct. I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I see Cameron in a Geelong jumper.. Suits him.
  2. Would you have thrown the kitchen sink at a young Nick Riewoldt knowing the talent he has and the potential he reached at St Kilda? Now think Riewoldt... but better.. This is what Jeremy Cameron is... Get him Melbourne.
  3. Agreed, Treloar is a hard running midfielder disposal that definitely hurts the opposition. Would be glad to give up our first round pick for him and a player. 1st round pick + Blease
  4. I posted it last time from my twitter feed.. Here it is again for those who missed out
  5. 1. 9/10 (Would like to see him kick more goals on a regular basis. He is starting to do that but I want to keep seeing it) 2. Yes
  6. The Gods' have smiled upon us and extended their blessings. May us, the Melbourne Football Club supporters be forever thankful for the safe and respectful journey Peter Jackson, Roos & Co are taking us on. GO DEES!
  7. I honestly reckon our midfield is so much better without him actually in it. He gives away so many free kicks and his only opportunities at this club was to provide a tagging opportunity. Which is now filled by players such as Cross and Nathan Jones with a massive ROI. Mckenzie is slow and a liability and clutters that extra spot we could use for a quality midfielder who has the ability to win clearances.
  8. If we had a solid coach from the start, Blease would have been a much better player WITH a defensive game. Roos is all about hard running, up and down the ground getting numbers to the contest and putting a stranglehold around stoppages and being accountable for your player. Give Blease this year and next year, I guarantee he will build up a huge engine and develop a solid mix of defensive and attacking pressure and feature in our starting line up.
  9. L-R Trengove, Evans, Kent, Strauss, Hogan.... Geez Demonland
  10. Were you the one that rang up SEN and said this? Exactly what someone else said
  11. A great couch would be hard to turn down for any up and coming player.
  12. I don't know what the general consensus is for Dylan Shiel, but I for one would love him at the Dees and be willing to part with our first round pick for him. I feel he would have an immediate impact to the team much like Tyson. Shiel is an inside and outside ball user with a big body, great speed and a midfielder capable of kicking goals.
  13. I think we are lacking some pure dash and willingness to go for a run. A lot of teams have that link player where they have the ability to cut and weave through traffic and have confidence to gain those few extra meters. Insert Blease perfectly for this role. If he can learn to find the ball this could help our transitions from half back to forward 50
  14. Gawn: Some big grabs Never seen big Maxy take such imposing pack marks. He could have taken two more in the goal square.
  15. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I read this on my twitter feed. Here we have respect coming from a champion of our game. Not only supporters, but players are legitimately recognizing the Melbourne Football Club and our players. It's great to see.
  16. I'm getting excited to see the players development over the next year. To see Pederson come out and play like that and even Max Gawn in comparison to his previous year is astonishing. I really hope those players we have drafted during that period who are at Casey (Strauss, Tapscott, Blease & co) turn it around under Roos like so many have already. Exciting times.
  17. Not only did Barett criticize the Tyson trade, he also gave us a terrible grade in our trading department, detailing it as another 'scatter gun approach' like us recruiting blokes like Rodan, Byrnes etc from the previous year... For our football department to turn our midfield around this well, and inject players who have had this sort of contribution is far from just a scatter gun approach and quite possibly an awesome year of drafting. I think it's fair to say if we didn't have Tyson playing against Adelaide & Richmond with his center clearances and two goal contributions in both games, we may have not gotten over the line. Our midfield got over Richmond's which won us the game. Without Roos, Todd & Co, the final result would have been a lot different.
  18. Gee imagine Clark back in the side along with Hogan.. We really need Hogan back out there, I feel Dawes will be spent being the number one key target week in week out. He just seems to get double teamed each week now and finding it hard to take a grab.
  19. Watch him get delisted and get drafted by Collingwood
  20. If that's the case, then I am wondering if his back issue has affected his value to a point where Fremantle can make demands where the ball is in their court and Hogan can play the "I'll go into the Pre-Season Draft Card" so we are then forced to agree on a deal where we see us getting ripped off? Does the fact that Hogan winning Caseys best & fairest in his first year as a young player & his no doubt potential and on-field aggression be enough for us to walk away with a win-win if Hogan did demand a trade back to his home state?
  21. Has Tyson already achieved more in his handful of games he has played for the MFC than Sylvia did in his entire career playing for us?
  22. Knew the appeal was going to be upheld from the beginning.
  23. I have it on good authority we will be appealing the case and a QC lawyer will be taking it on and representing Viney. Stay tuned.
