I have this gut wrenching feeling St Kilda might take Brayshaw at pick 1. For some reason he appeals to me more than Petracca. Just seems to be the complete AFL prototype midfielder we need.

In b4 he has a poor year and his trade value drops significantly.

I really hope so.. The kid needs to dig deep and find what what attribute he can deliver at AFL that has a positive impact and exploit that. Pace isn't on his side, he isn't a hard ball winner. He is an outside player with great foot skills but no explosiveness. I'm a bit weary that those attributes aren't enough to become a great player.

Personally, I think Brisbane are going to sky rocket up the ladder next year.

McCartin is one of the best marks in a pack as well as below his knees. His pace and ability to change direction and lead out to smart areas are the main positives of his game. If our mids learn to kick low, hard and sharp to a confident McCartin, there is no way, no matter who you are as a defender. There is NO way you can spoil a mark like that if it's coming to you very low, below the knees lace out on the lead. This would be a massive bonus for us going forward with a player like that in our inside fifty.

I think we must get McCartin if Petracca goes at number 1. I feel he would provide greater depth for our team in allowing us to send Hogan down back if we need the cover. Not only that, but lets be real here. Dawes and Hogan right now can't stay injury free to save themselves. It's just as beneficial landing a ready to go midfielder through free agency as it is getting a ready to go forward.
