  1. I am genuinely very happy about this. Despite him not being the best kick in the league, he has something we are crying out for. Which is some serious drive and willing to take the game on from the backline. We are so stagnant and one dimensional with our hitting up options target, it will be great to see how Roos implements Lumumba's running and drive to shake up how we transition the footy.
  2. Pick 2+22 for Shiel + O'rourke + Frost. Get it done Dees.
  3. Paul Connors on AFL trade radio at the moment (Player manager for Dangerfield Ryder, Watts, Shiel etc).. Believes Adelaide won't entertain our picks for a Danger trade and Dylan Shiel not on the trade table and will be at GWS next year.
  4. They way I see it, if the club is hell bent on a trade and they agree to terms then usually the player ends up agreeing to it. Honestly, Adelaide was forcing Bernie Vince out the door, and he did NOT want to leave Adelaide. Listening to him on Adelaide Radio when it was officially announced he was being traded he sounded gutted and wanted to make sure he all the Adelaide supporters knew he was being forced out and it wasn't something he wanted to do. If a bloke like Vince who was born and bred in Adelaide, his whole family there, best mates with Tex Walker could be finally convinced to be traded, then I have no doubt with the higher currency we will be offering Dangerfield and the high picks to Adelaide, we will get this done. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-recruit-bernie-vince-says-he-didnt-want-to-leave-adelaide/story-fni5f4l8-1226752308426?nk=4c971dd5d966e414ddc06a9a723ca9bf "“They let me know even if I had a stand-out season next year they weren’t going to re-sign me any further,” said Vince, who would have left the Crows in October as a free agent. " I feel this will be the same situation with Danger. Adelaide will move heaven and earth to get him to agree to be traded to Melbourne before he becomes a free agent, much like Vince.
  5. Correct. A trade has to be be agreed by both parties including the player himself to the trade. Dangerfield can simply refuse as he is in contract, wait till next year and off to Geelong.
  6. It's probably our information..They took it from us on Demonland and posted it on FB.
  7. IN: Shiel, Frost, Giles, Brayshaw Out: Pick 2, Pick 40, Blease // Pick 3 (Consumed on Brayshaw) boom
  8. Blease & Giles both aren't getting games at their respective clubs.. Therefore this should be seen as a straight swap. Personally I believe Shiel is worth pick 3 alone, however if GWS were to trade Shiel it would be in order to draft Petracca, and with us holding pick 2 and Saints pick 1 he won't fall to them.
  9. Not sure if this has been mentioned already.. But listened to SEN this morning and they played a segment of an interview they had with Dangerfield in May this year and Sanderon's name was brought up. Dangerfield spoke and mentioned something along the lines of: "I am really happy with Sando and the direction.. and as long as he is here at Adelaide I'm here and happy"
  10. I'm quite stoked this has happened.. However looking at the Adelaide forums on Bigfooty posters are saying it's a 'blessing' they avoided him. From all reports I've heard he is a great coach and has all the potential to have an impact as a head coach. But does anyone know or heard how good he actually is? What are his traits, strengths, etc? Would be great to know more about Goodwin if anyone has further information on his coaching abilities. Thanks!
  11. Not to mention will come at a lower cost. Not being able to break into a side and demanding a trade decreases his currency.. I could potentially see a fair package deal that could see us land both Frost and Giles.
  12. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-09-18/giant-wants-out Requested a trade out.. Can show he can Ruck and play forward. Could do something in a package deals that see us land both Frost and Giles?
  13. We wouldn't force bid him.. All the other clubs after us might though.
  14. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/eddies-war-on-everyone-20120630-219sp.html Reading this and seeing what is happening at the moment with Mitch Clark is a disgrace.. Imagine if Collingwood invested all this time, 1st round pick and money into Clark and teams were trying to poach him to join after coming out of retirement? What a disgrace.. Hypo-criticism at it's best!
  15. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't depression and anxiety go hand in hand? If he was told the best way to deal with his depression would be to move on from Melbourne and play for another club.. I don't see how that would be a positive move in terms of someone dealing with this illness. If anything the speculation and the media spot light is now smack-bang in the middle of Mitch Clark which would make someone suffering from depression a lot worse with the anxiety it comes with...Reporters and sporting legends ridiculing Clark saying it's disgusting how he can simply walk away from the club and not repay the faith we entrusted in him just piles on top of the anxiety Mitch must be feeling...Not only that, but EVERY Twitter message he posts or Instagram picture the public are either having a go at him or backing him in... It's an absolute basket case what is happening... For his manager and himself to come out and say he wants to return to footy but not at Melbourne.. to me is simply the complete OPPOSITE way of going about someone dealing with depression.
  16. Everyone remember when he was the whipping boy for us and we all wanted to trade him to Essendon? This gives me faith that any player has the ability to turn it around and become a great player if they have the mind-set and willing to work. Lets hope Jones stays on and encourages everyone to turn it around like he did!
  17. I immediately feel sick to my stomach knowing we picked Toumpas over Wines when Ollie was living with Todd Viney and best mates with Jack....
  18. It's clear he wants to play finals footy.. If you follow his twitter, every second post was "I love Finals Footy" or "How good is September!" Him sitting there, realising he is doing absolutely nothing would have re-ignited his passion in playing footy especially in September. I would bet on it he won't be playing for Melbourne, but a club pushing for finals and we will get graciously compensated for it due to the amount of money we injected into him, care and support as well as 1st rounder we gave up for him.
  19. Pick 3 for T.Mitchell & Zac Jones? IN: Pick2 (Petracca), T.Mitchell, Z. Jones Out: Pick 3 They can then use Pick 3 on someone like Wright who I think Sydney are in need for a young ruckman who they could develop. We are also getting in Nathans younger brother to move back in Melbourne and provide Nathan a big reason to not walk out on the Dees next year come free agency as an insurance plan.
  20. ^^ This exactly. Which is why it frustrates me that people can put up trade suggestions like "Pick 2 for Treloar and a 3rd Rounder" .... Why would GWS trade their gun proven AFL player who is young and has the potential to be a future A-grade star of the game ALONG with a 3rd rounder for pick number 2 on a bloke who is a current star in an under 18's competition? Not to mention giving up on a bloke who has had a few years in the system and taking more steps backwards in offloading him for a player who has had no years in the system. Get real some of you.
  21. Get used to it bud.. We are a struggling club that's trying to improve each week and we are trying to learn how to win out games. Unfortunately for us we are in such a defensive mind set under Roos we are timid in taking the game on, trying to win the game by negating the opposition from scoring in the last quarters. However enter our turn overs and skill errors which then gift teams goals which consequently drops our confidence and allows teams to then pile on goals, over take our margin and win games. We will improve on this year by year, so those games that 'might have been won' this year, 1/4 of those WILL be won next year. The year after 1/2 of those games. We can't hope for drastic improvement overnight, you might be sulking and annoyed that those were winnable games and annoyed about how I say 'we should have beaten' but the fact of the matter is Beats, those games 1-2 years ago were NEVER winnable to begin with. Let's be at least a little optimistic in seeing multiple games where the game could have been won.
