Let me ask you this.. If Prestia was at Melbourne and Howe was at Gold coast.. Would you accept pick 4 & Howe for Prestia and pick 20? Absolutely not..If we want to land Prestia it will be pick 4 + Howe with no pick 20 in return.. Simple as that.

Can anyone tell me why opposing key forwards never seem to miss against us? Is it the thought of playing against a rabble team that is Melbourne that has their confidence sky rocketing? Or is it that our crowd doesn't seem to be as opposing as putting people off their set shots for goal? Whenever it seemed like a Melbourne player was lining up for goal, there were constant boos throughout the stadium from Essendon fans. I'm just getting sick and tired of key forwards kicking bags against us without ever missing.

They killed us around the ground when it came to leading and presenting hard. Majority of the West Coast players seem to possess a kick that hardly any of our players do in which it's kept low and hard that draws a leading player. I hardly saw this around the ground last night, we just seemed to be kicking to contests and hoping the ball would fall our way.. We will never win a game against a top team this way.

I'm waiting for the reality bus to arrive..It's scheduled for around 9:00pm tonight, however I am desperately hoping it gets cancelled.

Howe's ability to compete in the air and either mark or bring the ball to ground allowed us to not only straighten us up against the Cats without Hogan, but to also provide a lot of opportunities for our smalls. I think he played a terrific non-selfish game like many of you guys have said. It's players like that we actually need in our side, regardless of their consistency. At the end of the day, he is very important to our structure than a top 10 pick, especially when Hogan is out of the side.

During the trade period last year, I was DYING to trade picks 2 and 3 to Adelaide for Dangerfield.. Now, as good as Danger is, seeing Brayshaw doing what he has done in his first year and Petracca still on the wings, I am glad we held onto those picks and went into the draft.

I'll tell you what, if the roles were reversed and Melbourne had pick #1, St Kilda #2 and #3 and we had of drafted McCartin, there would have been articles everywhere how we had potentially screwed up another pick.

I was having a read on big footy on the geelong post match discussion forums, a lot of people suggesting they should go after Gawn due to their thin rock stocks through injury and on the back of his recent performances. This ^^ Everyone I was with at the footy was saying the exact same thing.. On SEN this morning they were saying Roosy didn't have enough time to get the message out to the players..Rubbish.. When Howe took that mark, Roosy should have been on the phone, message out and the runner out to every single player to spread the word like the plague to flood back and the time left if he had of kicked the goal. I am furious
