  1. What ever happened to Will Setterfield? After some average seasons at Carlton, I recall him being fairly decent after being traded to Essendon?
  2. His outlook on how everything went down has obviously changed, or maybe been changed for him. Videos on YouTube aren't as easily deleted as IG posts, such as the one he posted from the hospital which was swiftly taken down.
  3. The "layers of challenges" were touched on by Mark Fine on SEN during his show after the game on Friday night. Basically he was joining the pile on re Melbournes "culture", saying amongst other things that "ANB wants out". That instantly had someone texting in to say that ANB had a young baby and he and his partner wanted to be home closer to family, and that him leaving had nothing to do with the MFC "cultural issues". Fine fired back saying that was [censored], it has everything to do with the MFC because other players have young babies too and they dont go home, so obiously something is rotten at Melbourne to make ANB want to leave... etc etc That lead to him being bombarded by other people more in the know than the person who mentioned the baby, outlining to Fine what the other "layers" were. Fine didn't disclose them and nor should he, but after coming back from a break he backed right away from the "ANB wants out" statement and actually apologised to ANB, his family and MFC supporters for the suggestion, acknowledging that he got it wrong.
  4. Barrett from about 6.15 onwards, referencing his article overnight
  5. I'm also curious about the response he will get if it doesn't. He can't change what's happened and been said.
  6. Thrilled to see we have gone in with Adrian Anderson again 😫
  7. Rolling thread on X if anyone wants to follow.... https://x.com/DavidZita1/status/1828349305708781762?t=J74NTcXn8I4ktKtoBbZRuA&s=19
  8. I've never seen a player look so wrong in opposition colours 🤢🤢🤮
  9. Christian Petracca airs shock new revelation in rare interview amid AFL trade rumours Petracca has remained silent for several weeks but now returns to the spotlight with the release of a podcast recorded on August 9 — just days before the first reports that he was disgruntled and could consider requesting a trade (Apologies if a re-post. Far too many pages to catch up on)
  10. I hate that is now my focus for the season, but yep, definitely on. Not sure what the Suns winning margin needs to be but live ladder right now has them above us. And go Saints!
  11. Just admit you had no idea who Kentfield was when you bolded his name and we can move on.
  12. Reposting this as it's relevant again. Here are the forward coaches at every club. Spot the "actual" forwards. Adelaide - Scott Burns Brisbane - Murray Davis Carlton - Jordan Russell Collingwood - Justin Leppitsch Essendon - Dale Tapping Fremantle - Jaymie Graham Geelong - James Rahilly Gold Coast - Brad Miller GWS - Jeremy Laidler Hawthorn - Adrian Hickmott North Melbourne - Xavier Clarke Port Adelaide - Chad Cornes Richmond - Kane Lambert St Kilda - Robert Harvey Sydney - Jarrad McVeigh West Coast - Matthew Knights Western Bulldogs - Matt Spangher
  13. LOL, he has been at the club for 3 months. Did you just look at the playing list, see a name you didn't recognise and thought yep, he'll do?
  14. The extension is 3, not 4. He was already contracted until the end of 2025.
  15. I'm thinking more Tom Browne. Someone should rename his "classic moments" thread on BF from Browne to Morris, and carry on. They are basically the same person.
  16. I think a few too many on here have attended the Tom Morris school of critical thinking.
  17. If the Filth beat us, they can still make if Port can get over Freo in Perth and the Blues lose to both the WCE and the Saints, which given all the Blues outs and the way they are playing is a strong chance.
  18. I'd love to see a stat on how many frees the Pies get in the last 5 mins of games when the margin is a couple of goals or less. I counted 5 or 6 straight tonight, and while most were probably there, they were all soft and not frees they were paying earlier in the game.
  19. To be fair, he said the "this is the best culture I've seen in 40 years in the game" were in the context of questions they were being asked about the Joel Smith situation and whether that was a reflection on the club culture rather than an individual behavioural issue .

  21. I wasn't arguing that point. I was trying to agree with you that any issue he may have with the game plan would probably be centered around the way it was being executed, rather than the game plan itself. Finals last year, first half of Carlton game, West Coast the week after and then the complete capitulation vs Freo, the week before Collingwood.
  22. I think this would be the issue, if anything. You could see in real time how frustrated he was with the way everything was unravelling during the first Fremantle game. That was only one week before Kings Birthday.
  23. Some will say I have my head in the sand, but the actual (an ongoing) surprise to me when observing threads here and elsewhere, is that people still allow themselves to get into such a lather over what the usual suspects in the media say. All you need to do is pay attention to who they are, any agendas they might have, what they get out of going with their 'scoop' and what they are actually saying. In most cases they say absolutely nothing worth paying attention to and their story is rarely anything more than a manufactured gossip column or opinion piece presented as fact.
  24. From a "Whatever happened to Will Brodie?" thread on Reddit...
  25. You don't think losing Brayshaw, Petracca and Smith has anything to do with this? Or other key injuries to irreplaceables like Gawn, Lever or May? Or Oliver being a shadow of himself due a disastrous offseason? Or all of a sudden losing all our depth, both as a result of the above and also with guys like Jordan, Harmes & Bedford looking for opportunity elsewhere at (in hindsight) the most inopportune moment? Or playing a bunch of kids to try and cover all these gaps, most of whom are in their first or second seasons?
