  1. Giants average away crowd vs all teams at all venues is just under 24,000. Average at the G vs all teams is 27,000. Average vs us in Melbourne is just 19,000. Crowd today, considering the conditions + GP starting at same time is probably more than would have been expected. Statistically anyway.
  2. Is Turner injured, or just not picked?
  3. An even better option would to be to flip the byes around for the OR teams. GWS had a bye in R2 along with Gold Coast. Hawthorn had a bye in R4 along with Essendon. Why not just have GWS/Hawthorn have their bye together in R2 or R4 and Gold Coast/Essendon play in the other week?
  4. Yeah it was a good watch! As an aside, how much better is AFL 360 now that ranting buffoon Robbo is gone! 👍
  5. Nah, he did his ACL the following season (2023) vs Richmond. Interesting fact - whilst he only has 12 games under his belt, he has never played in a win.
  6. I'll go with completely knotted. Also, inconsequential technicality, but Darling was traded to Norf 😉
  7. Hypothetically, If he plays this weekend and commits another reportable offence, can he be suspended again, on top of his existing suspension? Or does what happens in Community Series stay in Community Series?
  8. Big Footy opinions...
  9. Ground was Alexandra Park, in Mornington. Can see the new Pavilion (with name) in the background.
  10. Didn't he go to Freo?

Collingwood haven't played down there since 1999. Carlton went three years in a row between 2018 & 2020, but not since. Prior to that they hadn't been there since 1997. Essendon, prior to recent trips in 2021 & 2023, hadn't been there since 1993. Richmond, prior to their game last season, had only been once since 2012.

Tickets went on sale about 15 mins ago for anyone wanting to make the trip. General Admission: $12 - $35 Family/Dry Area: $12 - $35 Standing Room: $11 - $30 https://www.ticketmaster.com.au/geelong-cats-v-melbourne-south-geelong-04-04-2025/event/2500624484380961
  13. That 37,000 crowd was the last round of 2018, where we were in finals but also playing for a top 4 spot. Next highest after that was round 1, 2016 (28,500). All other games vs the Giants have been between 16,000 & 21,000 😟
  14. Feb 22 according to this @WERRIDEE 😉 11am, and will be on Foxtel/Kayo for those who cant make it.
  15. Some don't even have the balls to nit pick, they just sit back and wait for one of the other goon squad to do it, then throw in their little passive aggressive reactions to the post. It's always the same people and it's always being done to the same person and frankly it is becoming tiresome. I wouldn't bother if I was WCW/GW either. I've been around this place for years and have seen many good posters being driven out (in some cases by the same people) for much less. 'They' 100% do not appreciate the insights. Don't kid yourself. There is an established pattern here and it has been going on for ages. It might seem innocuous on this occasion, but it's definitely there and this is just another instance. Go back and have another read from the perspective of someone who is constantly scrutinised and who has a group of knuckle draggers following them around waiting to jump on any opportunity to undermine or discredit them. [censored] you guys. You know who you are.
  16. Thanks for the updates @waynewussell Much appreciated! Edit - and our friendly ghost, obviously
  17. There was a thread somewhere about him, not that long ago. He sounds promising. Found it

Keeping in mind that we still needed Petty in the side to help out JVR in the ruck, what was the alternative? Don't say Jefferson (not ready), Fullarton (cant ruck, and offers less around the ground than Petty) or Schache (goes without saying?), cause none of them were even close to being viable options last season.
  20. Amazing work track watchers/photographers! Much appreciated ❤️💙
  21. Like the sound of him. Would be very handy to have a small forward who is also capable of going down back to play a lock down role on opposition smalls.
  22. Pendlebury - 37 Howe - 34 Sidebottom - 34 Elliott - 32 Mihocek - 32 Mitchell - 31 Hoskin-Elliott - 31 Crisp - 31 Membrey - 30 McStay - 29 Cameron - 29 Moore - 29 DeGoey - 29 Fits their age profile I guess? 🤷‍♂️ I'm going to enjoy watching their fall when all these best 22 players are leaving and need to be replaced at the same time as Tasmania coming in.
  23. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't think they were stubborn this season. I think they just came to the realisation that Fullarton wasn't going to provide us much more than JVR/Petty/Turner already were. Hence, Campbell.
  24. Suggest you re-acquaint yourself with the game, in particular all his clutch contested marks that basically won it for us.
