There was a thread somewhere about him, not that long ago. He sounds promising. Found it -

Keeping in mind that we still needed Petty in the side to help out JVR in the ruck, what was the alternative? Don't say Jefferson (not ready), Fullarton (cant ruck, and offers less around the ground than Petty) or Schache (goes without saying?), cause none of them were even close to being viable options last season.

Amazing work track watchers/photographers! Much appreciated ❤️💙 -
Like the sound of him. Would be very handy to have a small forward who is also cabaple of going down back to play a lock down role on opposition smalls.

Pendlebury - 37 Howe - 34 Sidebottom - 34 Elliott - 32 Mihocek - 32 Mitchell - 31 Hoskin-Elliott - 31 Crisp - 31 Membrey - 30 McStay - 29 Cameron - 29 Moore - 29 DeGoey - 29 Fits their age profile I guess? 🤷♂️ I'm going to enjoy watching their fall when all these best 22 players are leaving and need to be replaced at the same time as Tasmania coming in.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't think they were stubborn this season. I think they just came to the realisation that Fullarton wasn't going to provide us much more than JVR/Petty/Turner already were. Hence, Campbell.

Suggest you re-acquaint yourself with the game, in particular all his clutch contested marks that basically won it for us.

FYI - it was around a couple of weeks prior to him confirming his (apparent) commitment to the club on 31/08. Here he is, making a Petracca Parma on 21/08, and I'm sure the video was made well prior to that. https://www.instagram.com/on.trac5/reel/C-7HEYAS32d/

He's just average. Nothing standout that would make him a point of difference. He'd be a slight upgrade on the likes of Sparrow or ANB, but not by much.

I've had the misfortune of attending almost as many Carlton games over the last couple of seasons as Melbourne (go with friends/family...etc). I was keen on Cerra when he was at Freo and was looking to come back to VIC. Now I've seen him in person multiple times at Carlton.... hard pass. Always injured, soft and regularly goes missing.

Nice wheels 👍 Certainly wouldnt have picked that if someone started a "match a poster to a car" type thread. (I had you pegged as a Kombi type)

Hi Tom When you go with this as your 'scoop' for tomorrow, could you at least credit the forum/thread/poster this time? Cheers

McClure supports Carlton and ALWAYS finds a way to crowbar them into any trade conversation at around this time of year. His 'analysis' of the CP/McKay situation before running with his little thought bubble would have been no more involved than... CP wants to go to a big club 🤔 Carlton are a big club! 💡 Melbourne needs a big KP forward 🤔 OMG, Carlton has a few of those!💡

What ever happened to Will Setterfield? After some average seasons at Carlton, I recall him being fairly decent after being traded to Essendon?

The "layers of challenges" were touched on by Mark Fine on SEN during his show after the game on Friday night. Basically he was joining the pile on re Melbournes "culture", saying amongst other things that "ANB wants out". That instantly had someone texting in to say that ANB had a young baby and he and his partner wanted to be home closer to family, and that him leaving had nothing to do with the MFC "cultural issues". Fine fired back saying that was [censored], it has everything to do with the MFC because other players have young babies too and they dont go home, so obiously something is rotten at Melbourne to make ANB want to leave... etc etc That lead to him being bombarded by other people more in the know than the person who mentioned the baby, outlining to Fine what the other "layers" were. Fine didn't disclose them and nor should he, but after coming back from a break he backed right away from the "ANB wants out" statement and actually apologised to ANB, his family and MFC supporters for the suggestion, acknowledging that he got it wrong.

Thrilled to see we have gone in with Adrian Anderson again 😫

I hate that is now my focus for the season, but yep, definitely on. Not sure what the Suns winning margin needs to be but live ladder right now has them above us. And go Saints!
-
Just admit you had no idea who Kentfield was when you bolded his name and we can move on.

LOL, he has been at the club for 3 months. Did you just look at the playing list, see a name you didn't recognise and thought yep, he'll do?
-
The extension is 3, not 4. He was already contracted until the end of 2025.
