  1. The legal system is not about truth, it's about the perception of truth; and to that end, a good argument can be more valuable than it should be.
  2. Needs more "Hally, Goodesy and Teddy" comparisons.
  3. People reckon Judd's arse is kissed non-stop, but the moment he does something wrong, people say he's been treated unfairly by the media? Surely it's one or the other.
  4. The zone only exists so that it is easier to create a one-on-one (or better) contest. The game still relies on contests, it's just that the one-on-ones are not always with the same pairs of people. Also, Bate probably said that a couple of years ago. Two years is a long time in footy.
  5. Why not let those hundred schools of thought contend right here, then?
  6. I know a few Collingwood supporters who would be more than happy to get him out of the Club. They reckon he's way too loose and can't play one-on-one to save himself.
  7. If it was an attempted mark, I reckon he would have been okay, but because it was a handball, he should have been more cautious. The reason the penalty is so high is that he has a poor record.
  8. "Who's the bigger fool? The fool or the fool who follows it?"
  9. What? Love is in the air? I think not.
  10. This reminds me of a typical conversation I have with my mother when we're cooking dinner.MUM: "Can you get the thing from over there and stir it into the stuff, love?" ME: ???
  11. Jose. How is it that every time you post, I seem to agree with you practically to the letter?
  12. Really? I heard he was no better than ordinary today. I didn't watch the game or anything, so if you did, I'd be glad to hear what he did.
  13. I was defending him against people who wanted to delist him two years ago. I still reckon he has at least as much to offer us as Jordie Gysberts.Bottom line is I bags'ed him first. You can still support him, but I'm first in line!
  14. That's for sure. Besides, an out of form ruckman is still only one of about 5 on the list who can perform that role. An out of form midfielder is at the bottom of a list of about 20.
  15. 6 Martin, just for effort alone. Kicked goals early, then rucked the rest of the game as best he could. 5 McKenzie, who is a tackle machine and actually disposed of the ball relatively well today 4 Sylvia, who looked like he'd absolutely break the game apart early in the first. 3 Green, who provided a real target forward, which is something we've really lacked with all our injuries. It's a shame he's not taller, because he really knows how to play forward. 2 Tom Macdonald, who looks to be a ten-year key backman for us 1 Blease, who looks like fitness is the only thing keeping him from being an absolute four-quarter jet for us. Honourable mention to Grimes for his toughness. If only he had better foot disposal.
  16. What about the people who criticise Morton (soft), Trengove (slow), Bate (one-sided), Blease (selfish), Bennell (goes missing), Jamar (taps it to his feet), Sylvia (inconsistent), Green (past it), Davey (sook), and so on, and so on, and so on... I've actually been surprised this year at how little Moloney has been criticised.
  17. They just ran over the top of us. This kind of a result shows that we either need to go to a 2-2 interchange or something similar. Losing because of injuries isn't fair.
  18. I provided a real world example of a player who told his team-mates plainly and simply that the way they were approaching the game was not good enough. I am still talking about Melbourne, since I'm relating an example of a player's brutal honesty (and the way it spurred his team into action) to our club, where for a very long time "bleeding red and blue" was seen to be enough.I'm not defending anyone who wants to pot loyal Melbourne players, but I do think there is a place for harsh criticism of Moloney's performance this year. It is warranted.

    Game Day

We've just been destroyed by injuries today. How deflating.
  20. Like Paul Chapman was? Honest criticism should be welcomed in any workplace.
