  1. Sellar should be at full forward this week if last week has taught us anything, so he's out. McDonald doesn't have the strength and Garland will be in the VFL. Frawley is the only other option.
  2. Maybe we should hire Walter White as our coach.
  3. Not me. That shit_ is played out. We tried it already and it got us nowhere.
  4. Didn't Neeld say there were 4 players after the Brisbane game who could hold their heads up? At least the Demonland poll seems accurate.
  5. We won those games against clubs who couldn't be farked or were incapable of figuring our free-running gameplan out. Against everyone else, we were methodically dismantled week in week out by even larger margins than this year.....hmmmm...
  6. Neeld is a perfectly good communicator. Craig left a side after about a year of poor performance. Bailey left his side after at least 4 years of poor performance. If you're looking for the simple answer, it's that our list is shocking and our fitness is worse. Adelaide's list is good and their fitness even better. They can adapt to the game plan better because they're not knackered after one quarter. Our guys can't adapt for long periods because we're tired as all hell after about half an hour. There's your simple answer
  7. I'm sure he could get some sort of civil suit together for assault and whatnot.
  8. I reckon 99% of the Bailey support was predicated on the idea that "games together" with "talented players" would be all that was required. That approach has since been shown to be fundamentally flawed. Just letting those players have fun together (no hard training) and play with flair (no matchday kpi's) was all that Bailey ever did. He was a terrible COACH, and faith in Neeld should not deemed misplaced simply because of the mistakes of his predecessor.
  9. If you're asking whether he's being given the same legal support as Jurrah, then I only have this answer: He doesn't play footy for an AFL club, so I doubt he's getting much help from lawyers.
  10. I can't dsagree with any of that, but I still standby what I said about how much Bailey has set us back. It's like coming to a fork in the road. One guy takes you 10 ks down the wrong path, so another guy has to take you back to the fork before he can start leading you down the right path. Contested possession and fitness is obviously the focus of this season. I wish kicking were also a focus, but clearly it's not. Hopefully we can fix this soon, because having a game-plan which relies on kicking to the boundry is fraught with danger if you're so bad at kicking that you're as likely as not to kick it out on the full. Not to mention our atrocious delivery into the forward line.
  11. 1. Moloney - He's been worked out, and the game has passed him by. 2. Trengove - Played one of his best games of the year tonight. Slow, but from reports he's under the stress of a difficult training regime 3. Grimes - Played one of the better games of his career tonight. 4. Frawley - Definitely has gone backwards. I'm a little worried, but he's not where the problem lies. 5. Davey - His desire and speed are both gone. The game had already passed him by when Bailey was still in charge. 6. Bail - He was never that good. 7. Jamar - He's played one good year in his entire career. He has 1 strength; The ability to win taps. However, they don't go anywhere useful. They never have. 8. Magner - Definitely being played in the wrong position. This is on Neeld. 9. Petard - He's been shite since about halfway through 2010. Hardly any of your list is Neeld's fault, IMO.
  12. Bailey may have won more games than Neeld will in his first season, but he did it by teaching a game-style that was not only never going to get us to the top, but that actively damaged the talent we picked up during his tenure. This strikes at the core of why we're so bad. I don't care how many games Bailey won us. His moronic (and, above all, damaging) "gameplan" must be totally cut out like a malignant tumour, and Neeld is the man to do it. I still believe that.
  13. The Dean Bailey era absolutely ruined our forward structure and we're still recovering. The old "press up the ground and then run back towards goal" strategy absolutely destroyed our players' ability to play as part of a standard forward structure.
  14. 6 Nicholson, for the run he gave us. 5 Grimes, for his courage and spread. 4 Jetta, who is as tough as nails. 3 Trengove, who I felt played one of his best games of the year. 2 Jones, who was tagged out of the game for most of the night, but still gave us something as the game wore on. 1 Rivers, who was our only real target in the forward line. -22 Garland, who played one of the worst games I've ever seen a Demon play. Absolutely atrocious.
  15. Jetta's got it. Trengove's got it. Grimes has got it. That's about it.
  16. I cannot express how [censored] off I am about Garland's atrocious game tonight. Deadset, he has singlehandedly cost us this game. As bad as we've played tonight, we still would have won if not for Garland.
  17. By my count, we've played about 3 good quarters out of the last 12. Just not good enough.
  18. Garland has been F*&^king SHOCKING tonight!!!!
  19. I'm feeling a little like Jim from Rebel Without a Cause. "YOU'RE TEARING ME APART MELBOURNE!!!"
  20. Don't tarnish the passable work of the rest of the team with that absolute mare of an error from Garland. That is seriously the most inexplicable decision I've ever seen from a footballer.
  21. Colin Garland is a deadset idiot! That's reminiscent of the Brad Miller tap down to the Brisbane player a few years ago. Absolutely idiotic.
  22. There are two reasons for that. A: We can't kick for [censored]. B: We have no-one to kick to.A is Bailey's fault/the players. B is Neeld's fault/injuries.
