  1. I ran out of tears after watching the live stream of our practice match win over Richmond at Casey back on some random Friday morning in Feb.

I was reminded once a week by my Collingwood supporting colleague that this man would be an absolute disaster for the club as he left the pies in disgrace. Has to take a massive amount of credit for our 2021 premiership and his key role now is to make us a financially powerful club that has its future in the league well and truly secured for decades, much like Richmond has over the last 5 years. If ever there are talks of a VIC club re-locating again, I want us to be so far down the pecking order we're not even remotely considered.
  3. I'm sure it will be but VIC's have been burnt so badly at every turn of COVID since the early months of 2020, that consumer confidence would be at an all time low. People that can't afford donations like 2020/2021 need certainty that they will be able to attend games rather than watching the most critical games of their MFC supporting lives in their PJ's and slippers. I think this will affect numbers a little.
  4. I'll never get sick of replaying that goal he kicked off 1 step from 52 in the granny.
  5. Agree with ANB. The most improved on the list from a not so obvious point of view. You now know what you're getting from him from week to week, and it's pretty damn good. However, Fritta took his game to the stratosphere for much of this year and has to win the award. T Mac showed dramatic improvement in the first half of the year but the inclusion of BBB made him less of a focal point and thus less influence on games. Spargo made a significant leap from a poor 2019 to the latter games in 2020 and then another leap into 2021. Harmes improved in 2021 after losing his spot in 2020, but I'm unsure whether he's absolute best 22 going forward. Sparrow certainly had a better year in 2021 but that's because he was injured for most of 2020. He could be my candidate for most improved for 2022 as he'll vie for more midfield minutes. I can't really think if any other dramatic improvements, aside from Rivers, Kozzie and Jackson having ripper second years after promising debuts. Improvement implies a player had an ordinary prior year, but these fellas were good in year 1 when they played.
  6. 61,222. I don’t see the membership will increase that dramatically given people from Victoria still aren’t 100% certain whether AFL footy will be a TV event or a live event next year.
  7. Didn’t he have one of the Wagner brothers and Petracca more or less on parity?
  8. Saw him at a random Friday afternoon practice match against North at Arden Street last year. Sums up the blokes passion for the club. His training reports and injury updates were certainly appreciated for Demonlanders to read in their lunch breaks.
  9. Didn’t someone around here suggest that Kate was going to the ultimate unselfish act by electing not to travel over to WA so she could allow another staff member to go?
  10. I reckon every premier in recent years would’ve been just as unapproachable as our club has apparently been.
  11. I feel so sorry for Western Australians for any pain and suffering caused by Gary Pert. You guys have sure done it tough over the last few weeks, that’s for sure.
  12. Whenever one needs the CEO it’s invariably not going to be positive.
  13. Speaking of grounds, we played our most scintillating footy away from the MCG I thought. Most of our really good wins took place away from the G and our last 4 games at the G (ESS, GWS, Hawks, Dogs) were some of our poorer performances of the year. Marvel, Optus and Adelaide Oval (aside from the Adel game) is where we played our best footy Hopefully we can replicate our awesome form next year at our home.
  14. Odd time to make a complaint to the CEO??
  15. Almost. 95% there. A flag at the G would make it 100%. People who attended in Perth would beg to differ. Really hoping we’ve got another flag in us over the next 3-4 years before May and Gawn pack up. Hope we don’t do a West Coast and go backwards by the year or the Dogs who failed to even makes the finals for the next 2 years.
  16. 100% agreed. I posted after our win over Sydney that it was indisputable that the 2021 backline was the best to represent our club in the modern era. Certainly since the early 90’s. They just gelled so well this year.
  17. Would be Richmond in 2017 wouldn’t it? I’d also like to know who was the most recent losing GF team to kick 6 goals in a quarter and yet still lose like the Dogs did last night.
  18. First goal - Hunter Norm - Harmes (30 touches/2 goals) Most gls - BBB Margin - 39 pt win to us.
  19. Same same yeah? I would say our selections have been predictable and successful.
  20. Best wishes to you mate. Let’s hope the boys get you the flag you’re so hoping for.
  21. Happy to bag the win and move on to our next opponent.
