I could name about 5 things that would help to beat us but I'm certainly not posting them. I want to see a premiership at the G and I won't give an opposition analyst glancing this site a chance of spoiling it.

When was the last time you watched Melbourne lose?

When your captain kicks a captain's goal after the siren to win the minor premiership you are having a good year -

Before Bowser. We haven't beaten anyone decent yet this year. I reckon our form looks a bit better than it is. -
We did the same thing last year Goodwin understands odds and probability better than other coaches. We don't belt teams at the moment because we don't show our hand. We'll do it it in the finals again and the other teams won't know what hit them.

I'll go the opposite here. I reckon if we are in range of goal we take the first option and have a ping. We used to try and do what was once considered "the team oriented option" under Roos and chip it to first available option in forward 50 with a better angle or whatever. Now we don't care. Have a shot from where ever. If it goes through the opposition cops Gawn, Oliver, Petracca at the centre bounce. If it misses they cop Spargo,ANB and kozzie In a very effective zone.

How the Rift between Woewodin & the Dees was Healed
Wrecker46 replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Woey was a great of the MFC. I would say it's one of the few things Daniher got wrong. That was culture killing. The board paid him too much which wasn't Danihers fault. Let every Melbourne supporter hope Taj can play anything like his old man. -
We have the best midfield in a generation and we often lose the centre clearances. We used to win most centre clearances but lose alot before Yze came. Our strategy has improved so much because of Oooze and it is so noticeable.

We have a whole team of effort players. Jordon ran from one end of the ground to the other last week just to get a finger on the ball. Nobody plays in our team that isn't an effort player.

Wait for the Grand Final.

I feel like reporting this post. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if Oliver was 2nd best on ground - I know nothing about football.

Sparrow - Grand final hero

I've got a close mate who loves the NBA and when I saw the capabilities of his subscription I immediately said why aren't the AFL doing this
-
Was it Richo who slandered Daisy when she called out the Saints ruck for being in trouble? Seconds later he was back on the bench on the bike She got very unfairly slandered and seconds later was proven correct

Farcken hope so. Would be the best signing of all and I rate LJ and Brayshaw but Oliver is on another level

It used to be. But I can't keep up with the Covid rules let alone the AFL ones.

You have me measuring myself

I just watched our goals again from last week on the website. Tom Sparrow comes from behind the centre square and sprints to the forward pocket to tap the ball in for a goal. Kozzie runs from well behind the centre square and kicks it to a contest where he runs into it himself and kicks a goal. The week before Jordon sprinted from our forward line all the way too their goal square just to get a touch on it. I haven't even mentioned Oliver, Petracca or Gawn We look like a team of millionaires at the moment but it is our work rate that sets us apart

Bowey has a premiership and two rising star nominations without losing a game but I still wouldn't compare him to Brett Lovett. Yet!

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule
Wrecker46 replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
I umpired basketball in the 90's and the most high profile referee in the NBL ran onto the court and abused me. It was the first game I reffed and he was a coach. I've also run the boundary in footy. I'm no positive Lingers but I can run up and down. I think I have a pretty good understanding of the abuse umpires receive but there is a point where the pendulum swings too far the other way and the player gets unreasonly penalised. -
So you are living in a country you thought was a city and outlining how they can have only 2 people sitting at a table whilst complaining about the crowds in at the MCG over the long weekend?
