  1. Richmond were a laughing stock until they appointed Brendan Gale and he turned their fortunes and built a dynasty. We all know no Peter Jackson no premiership and Jaded would still be Jaded. The CEO 's role at a footy club can't be underestimated. Bring on the Guerra Era
  2. It"s up to the club (employer) to decide. If I gave notice at my job I would be put on gardening leave. King is obviously vital to Geelong's premiership tilt, otherwise, he would be out the door
  3. I completely disagree that it would be good fans. I have spoken to do many Melbourne supporters who have said great Buckley's not our coach now I can renew my membership, for every happy supporter we got a high profile coach there would have been an equal number divested it was Buckley. Everybody can get behind King.
  4. Welcome to the Guerra Era
  5. I reckon Buckley is scrap heaps bound. As soon as Goodwin was sacked he put his hand up for the job
  6. Selfless the opposite to FIGJAM
  7. Langford is going to be a superstar. This idea about being 18 or 19 in debut season is ridiculous. Zorko didn't get drafted until he was 23 and played his 300th game last week. I agree with the posters who have said Xavier Lyndsay goes harder at the footy than Langford. That was completely unexpected from me.
  8. So if a club had a pick before us they could trade it? They don't get 3 picks
  9. Am i missing something?
  10. Except JT who we head hunted
  11. This is a reminder why we shouldn't take Collingwood rejects. Pert and Neild should never have come to the club. I wont name the players because they tried but there is a long list... Brad Green bleeds red and blue and we are a better club for him being a gun footballer, person, captain and president
  12. What was the phone call to Clarrie?
  13. Future picks are meaningless when the AFL change the rules as they go. We've got Jai Culley because an early Carlton draft pick did their knee. We missed a gun accademy player because the AFL changed the rules before the draft. Richmond are almost certain to be hopeless this year and next. North didn't run out the prac match against us. Who knows what the AFL will do for them to dilute future drafts
  14. Pace is measured by speed over a distance. Kolt who i love and i hope makes it has pace, his GPS speed shows he is lightning fast and hits speeds others can't. Decision making can't be measured by a a GPS but is far more critical. Quick footy smarts is more important than pace. Langford and Culley will lose a 20m sprint to Kolt everytime but their reaction time and awareness seems to be greater.
  15. May and Oliver are fast. There is a misconception that if you are tall you are cumberson or slow. Tmac wont get run off his feet by smaller players, infact, i would suggest the opposite. Height advantage across the ground could be difficult to combat
  16. I agree with that to an extent. Eddie got involved in the Grundy contract at Collingwood and it was a disater for them. What Green has done is steady the ship with Oliver and Petracca. Laid bare a price for Kozzie that is unlikely to be achievable and put heat on Freo while taking it off us. Green has done alot right as President. I think he has got this one right as well.
  17. Every year the sucessful teams try something different and when done effectively the other teams follow. Our backline is pretty tall with Lever, May, Petty and T Mac. We will likely add Langford to the midfield. If Jai plays alongside Langford and Oliver in our midfield we are pretty stacked there as well. Could be a competetive andvantage. It has to upset the the opposition if your opponent is bigger than you all the time.
  18. Big difference. Green weighed in on Oliver and said round 1 Melbourne will have Petracca, Oliver, Viney and Gawn in the centre bounce. Pert was shopping one of our greatest players ever. Pert gone, Oliver where he belongs a great result for the club. Now Green says Kozzie worth 3 first round draft picks and effectively puts him off the table while at the same time putting pressure on Fremantle to come up with the picks and prevent our season being de-railed by speculation. Green is not meddling with the trading just protecting our talent.
  19. I agee with most of that but not your original post. I've only seen Sharp once so perhaps i'm wrong on that but he was anything but messy besides his early clanger
  20. After seeing Clarry with his quick hands and pace back yesterday my big watch is on Langdon. If Clarry and Lingers have chemistry in the centre, which i have a feeling they will. We will be extremely hard to win against.
  21. Are you trolling? Bowey is a reliable if not elite 1v1 aerial defender. His tackling lacks slightly because he is our go to kick when the ball hit's the ground and it's his job to make play. Sharp kicks 4 and we all thought we got him for his aerobic capcity but he was messy? He had a clanger early on but was very Sharp after that. Chandler has the energy and speed of Kozzie to apply pressure. He's no Kozzie, no one is, but doesn't lack that aspect.
  22. I kown Langdon is rotating through the midfield this year but if Billings starts on the ground round 1 and Lingers doesn't i will eat my 2021 Melbourne Premiership hat
  23. On North's bigfooty someone said he could make a can of red bull fall asleep
  24. Or we miss May and win none
