When Oliver and Petracca play over 90% time on ground we don't have as many rotations as you think.

Sparrow could be a superstar but I doubt he will break into our midfield next year. Petracca, Viney or Oliver would need to be injured. We have an exciting list.

Oliver won the coaches award and when the GF was in the balance in the 2nd half played on Bont and gave the widely regarded best player in the league a footballing lesson. The Oliver / Petracca combo is a great point. It's obvious because they both spend so much time in the midfield and centre bounces together but the chemistry between the two coming into their prime is why we won a premiership and why we are favourites again next year. We've all watched the GF replay plenty of times but the number of times Oliver gets it to Petracca or vice versa and the recipient does damage is incredible.

I need to start this post with a disclaimer. All players should be free to go out and do as they please within the legal framework of legal rules. I bumped into Dusty Martin at a restaurant last night and asked him how it feels to take a back seat to Oliver and Petracca as the best players in the league. I shouldn't have said it and I regret it. I want to be humble Melbourne supporter. Dusty wanted to punch my lights out but was too smart for that. I was amazed at how much weight he has lost. He would be more similar to Bailey Fritch than Petracca on the scales at the moment. If I had my time again I wouldn't have said anything. Thanks Dusty for being as diplomatic as one could be in a split second decision. Go Dees and I hope supporters show more diplomacy than me.
