  1. I don't think he is ever going to win a Brownlow, despite being the best player in the league. The umpires hate him.
  2. May the swagger continue.
  3. I've thought the same.
  4. I'd look at AVB if he is fit.
  5. He must want publicity for not picking Gawn. The All Australian captain, premiership captain, hero who kicked a goal after the siren to win his team the minor premiership and tallest player ever to kick 5 goals in a final.
  6. I've always wanted to see a chart of house price rises in marginal seats v safe seats. The marginal seats get preference in infrastructure.
  7. Is Brayshaw perpetually underated? He famously came 3rd in the Brownlow without even getting invited. He was our best player in the premiership quarter in our first premiership in 57 years.
  8. I look forward to booing him on Wednesday.
  9. I don't know whether I would laugh or cry if he got a call up for them as a Covid top up player.
  10. Junction Street oval curse? There are far too many.
  11. The only thing that compared to watching the Dees at the G. RIP Warnie.
  12. @daisycutter and @binman You both make valid points about vaccination and transmission. This is not an argument about the efficacy for keeping people better off and out of hospital when they get Covid. I just think that all the evidence suggests that the vaccine doesn't mitigate against the spread. I encourage you to look into the furin cleavage site (fcs) not a website just the scientific name. There are a sequence of 19 nucleotides within the approx 29,000 in Covid that make it highly contagious between humans. HIV has a similar sequence and after decades we still can't stop the spread with vaccines but we can with anti bodies. Moderna took out a patent on the sequence 3 years before the first reported case of Covid. They don't know how to stop the spread yet but they will work it out and it will work for HIV, Sars and Ebola.
  13. Smells like Dee spirit.
  14. Saying Jesus wept is like a facepalm. Where you want to ridicule but can't articulate it.
  15. If you bothered to post the link it would be more credible.
  16. Hold off 1 year Daisy and coach under Clarko until we are ready for our next succession plan.
  17. I got a few good facepalms from @Lord Nev today because I can only presume he / she doesn't have the competency to counter an argument.
  18. This from our gov health website. No mention of the vaccine stopping the transmission https://www.health.gov.au/initiatives-and-programs/covid-19-vaccines/approved-vaccines/how-they-work How the vaccines work These vaccines will protect you from getting severely ill or dying if you get COVID-19. The vaccines train your immune system to recognise and clear out the virus, before it makes you seriously ill. Your body's immune system builds this protection over time. You are best protected 7 to 14 days after your second dose. Your booster dose helps restore and extend this protection. The virus that causes COVID-19 (called SARS-CoV-2) has spikes of protein on each viral particle. These spike proteins allow the virus to attach to cells and cause disease. The vaccines help the body to: recognise these spike proteins as a threat fight the coronavirus that has these proteins.
  19. I don't get the logic. I'm double vaxxed and have had covid. All the data suggests that if you are double vaxxed you are much less likely to get severe symptoms, go to hospital or ICU. I had mild symptoms and that is more than likely due to the vax and also the Omni strain. As far as I can determine the vax doesn't stop the spread. So it makes no difference to the person next to you if you are vaxxed or not. The responsibility is on the person themselves to get the vax done and they shouldn't worry about people around them. The only reason I can see for mandates is to keep hospitalisation rates down and have as many beds available for those who need them.
  20. My mail is he would have played or at least been sub if May wasn't going into the GF with a grade 6 hammy issue. We couldn't go in with two suspect hammy's even if Smith's was graded much better at the time.
  21. Isn't it refreshing that we have a midfielder rated as the best player in the league and he isn't even the best one at Melbourne.
  22. I just saw the highlights on the news. Clarry kicks a replica of his bang bang bang goal. He kicked exactly the same goal in the last round against Geelong as well. It's becoming a trade mark. If he continues this trend I don't think it will be just Melbourne supporters saying he is the best midfielder they have ever seen.
  23. Rivers was a lock in our premiership year. I can't see how he wouldn't be next year.
  24. Don't forget to add in Bowey for rising star to juice up the odds
  25. Oliver tied for our b&f with Max a couple of years back.with 2 dislocated shoulders. A finger wont bother him.
