  1. My trade targets for 2025: Bailey Smith - Superstar, love this kid. But we aren't in the running by the sounds. Hope we at least made a play Dylan Shiel/L. Parker - Midfield depth we need whilst our young guys come through Ned Reeves - good solid young ruck, coukd become a good AFL ruck Reilly O'Brien - good AFL ruck, on the outer at Adel, just as a back up so doubt he would be interested Josh Battle - very nice player, sounds like it's Hawks or Saints though Isaac Cumming - I see as a Lever type and a very good player that can't get a gig in his normal spot at GWS James Peatling - Can't break into GWS, good solid midfielder out of contract. Rory Lobb - If we don't get a ruck or fwd and he is cheap, yup do it. But has to be cheap Others to consider but only depth players: Davies(GC), Ladhams(Syd), Parfitt(Geel), Hewett(Carlt), Membrey(STK), Powell(Nth), Daniel(WBD), O'Driscal(Freo), Rayner(Bris) If we could pry a big fwd from somewhere that be great just no options really so would have to be a big deal.
  2. Said this guy 3 years ago, watched him first hand a lot. Very good player and good when he goes forward too!
  3. Everyone has an academy, clubs don't put time and effort into it. Just money that they have to. Get rid of the Zones, still have the academy's, all clubs put the same $$ and staff into them and all players are free game. Should purely be about getting these kids into the AFL and nothing else.
  4. I'm sorry, but losing our #1 draft pick to an expansion side. And countless first round picks and talent when we can barely win a game. There is 1 reason it took us so long to get back to the top, and it's the AFL (Aided by some poor development)
  5. I'm actually fine with them removing NGA, but to change the rule for 2 years then go back is stupid.
  6. AFL proposes change to NGA access for this year’s draft - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1173998 So the 1 year they change it is the year we had an NGA player and unable to get him (Mac Andrew)
  7. Correct, the rule is in place to stop players going to ground to win the ball. Draper didn't need to go to ground, and by doing so brings in the risk of injury to both players. Bend over and pick the ball up.
  8. Where is the rain? Was hoping for it to have been pissing down all day. On my way to the g now, bloody freezing but looks like the rain may be minimal

What time do they usually wrap up training, on the bus from the airport now. Was thinking of dropping in
  12. Think he sits in between. Has picked some amazing "visionary picks" but has also had some misses, people seam to think he has 100% strike rate though. Happy to have him on our books!!
  13. A lot saying Fullerton, surely it's Verral? Personally I'd be bringing in Verral and Petty if he is good to go. Basically have Petty play up the ground for our marking option and Verral mainly focusing on stoppages and marking Draper if he pushes deep.
  14. Yup, tholstrup and Brown are fine, they are in their first year. Tholstrop will be a star I think. But Laurie isn't up to it and so to Sestan at this stage
  15. What would people think about Dylan Shiel? Would be an upgrade on Sparrow. and a very handy body to rotate through the midfield. Not the best kick, but he breaks the lines and bursts from stoppages with pace. would take too much to pry him from the Dons and they will be looking to go past him and have already.
  16. Think there will be a lot of clubs asking him the question, hopefully we are one of them.
  17. We haven't gone for back ups. We thought Billing, Hunter, McAdam ect were going to be straight into our B22. We have kids that are going to take over, Windsor, Rivers, Kossie, Kolt and the like plus some more draft picks over the next couple of years. But our list lacks depth.
  18. We need to pick pick a couple like this IMO, this year has shown that our "next in" guys aren't as good as what we had in Harmes, Dunstan and Jordon. Another to look at it Davies from GC. As long as the trades don't cost much and we are paying them what they are worth then we need to grab one or two of these guys.
  19. I hope you're right, i'm more going on the reports from their draft years, Talent is great but you need the work horses too, Browns father is proof of that.
  20. yesss AMW, go well young man!!
  21. 100% Agree, i have huge wraps on Kolt, he reminds me a lot of Petracca at the same age. Windsor looks amazing and exactly what we need. JVR i think will be a premo forward of the comp. I'm not as optimistic on Brown, sort of the same boat as Woewodin, they don't have all the talent but sound like they are work horses which you do also need. Agree with McVee and Howes, both can be future midfielders for us. And now the news of AMW this week, good luck to him.
  22. I loved all of them, i thought Jay Kennedy-Harris was going to be a star. And was a big fan of Billy Stretch too.
  23. there is a lot in there, Toumpas as well. Kent, Jones, Terlich, Kennedy-Harris, Baker, Stretch, McDonald He isn't bad but i just don't think as good as others think. And at the time of the draft players are different to what they are now, everyone was scared of Curnow because he was done drink driving and had some off field issues, no club would say no now. He is good at his job, but development is more important.
  24. he has been there since 2012, wish it wasn't true. But the Dees faithful do put him in too high a regard IMO
  25. Don't get me wrong i love JT, but he has had as many misses as hits since he has been there. Development and coaching is more important.
