  1. Think we are to tall without him though. Weid, LJ, Brown, Fritsch, Trac. Means we onky have 1 small fwd. Spargo's best is very good. But his worst is bad! Kinda sounds familiar as a dees supporter.
  2. I completely forgot about the parade and of course Trac's Brownlow celebrations.
  3. LJ needs to play, but got a Bye before finals Gawn would be fine!
  4. Out: Melksham, Smith, and someone In: Jones, Harmes, LJ Put harmes in and send him straight to Kelly! Jones on HF has been good this year, just dont put him behind the ball or somewhere his pace can be exposed! Other option is Hore, who i think is a much better version than Smith, but 0 football for 18 months probably doesnt bode well for him. Jackson needs to come in, if we were lucky enough to get through, Eagle backline is depleted, recon having Weid hold out a Key Def and Fritcsh take a Mcgovern out wide will allow LJ a run at it and Brown to work up the ground as an option, allowing Max to play his kick behind the play role. Unfortunately we have put ourselves in this position about making finals which is a shame, because if ever you want to play Eagles in a Perth final now is the time!
  5. Football isnt his issue!
  6. In - Hibberd, Harmes and LJ if fit Out - Nev, Melksham and Hunt
  7. God it be good to have all tgese kids playing in the same side and hearong those names in the commentary again!
  8. Very good option, hadn't even thought of him. Needs a good mentor like a hibberd or may. Has massive upside and coll can't expect too much for him after dropping him like 4 times throughout the season. At tge right price could be a great get!
  9. Exactly why im saying a couple more pre-seasons and he will be a serious player
  10. Agree, but repeat it over 4 quarters is what I mean. Like a Cyril, have 3-4 repeat efforts a quarter. Some to no avail. Couple more hard working pre-seasons and look out. Who knows he could also bulk up and be like his uncle Byron ???
  11. Very good, just doesnt have an afl tank yet, going to be a star
  12. Pickett and Bedford are both young lads that need to learn senior footy, and no VFL this year which hurts development. both are better options than most in our reserves, we went inside fifty 35 times. and id say that 50% at least gave them no opportunity to apply pressure. if your basing selection on Mon night well there will be 14 changes. Pickett will be good, he needs to be managed properly, its obvious his body isn't ready for full AFL seasons yet, but that comes down to coaching workloads. Bedford needs a proper go, he has the skills and the pace. Spargo is an OK selection, but him and Hannon are both the same, they have one great game followed buy 2-3 poor ones. they get a 4-5 week crack, so why not Bedford instead?
  13. I forgot about Smith, OUT in - Harmes if fit, and play him as a tagger!!
  14. Out - Baker, Melksham, Preuss, ANB In - T. Mac, Sparrow*, Hore*, Lockhart *if fit, which i think they are
  15. Best 22 for Round 1 2021 FB: M. Hore S. May T. Rivers HB: J. Lever T. McDonald C. Salem C: E. Langdon A. Brayshaw T. Phillips HF: B. Fritsch J. Hogan K. Pickett FF: T. Bedford S. Weideman J. Viney(resting mid rotation) Fol: M. Gawn C. Petracca C. Oliver Int: M. Hibberd J. Harmes L. Jackson J. Lockhart Think Hogan and Phillips are very fringe at current club, and if we are lucky enough to get an CHF well McDonald was once a super solid defender, very reliable. also is a few wing types going to be available so no reason we cant get one as long as we can afford it. Best 22 from current list FB: M. Hore S. May T. Rivers HB: J. Lever A. Thomlinson M. Hibberd C: E. Langdon A. Brayshaw C. Salem HF: B. Fritsch L. Jackson K. Pickett FF: T. Bedford S. Weideman J. Viney(resting mid rotation) Fol: M. Gawn C. Petracca C. Oliver Int: H. Bennell J. Harmes T. Sparrow J. Lockhart EMG: H. Petty T. Mcdonald C. Spargo J. Jordan
  16. Trade: Harmes/brayshaw, Hunt, TMac, ANB, Omac, Preuss, smith Delist/retire: Jones, Jetta, wagner, wagner, KK, brown, Goodwin Target: T. Phillips/polec/atkins/witherden. Hogan/waterman/gunston Clarkson, chocco williams, Gary ayres Last year, last chance: Melksham, AVB, baker, hannan,
  17. If we win remaining 3, we finish 6th. we drop 1 we're 9th. i also think we are cooked, but hang onto a small glimmer as per Demon tradition. 100% sure we knock off Freo and GWS then lose to Ess by 10 points to end the season.
  18. Pruess has to be FF, otherwise we are back to our one key Forward which worked so well for us in the first 6-8 rounds. do they learn? Bulldogs tonight put massive pressure on us, must win all 3 remaining games now or we are done.
  19. He hasn't struggled at all, he has been one of the best players. But he is a victim of one coach bringing him in then another coach taking over and doesn't like the fact he is a offensive player. He is horrible defensively, I think we should go for him, but people need to be aware if we do he is purely an offensive player. Goody doesnt like that so won't happen. Salary another issue
  20. Pruess is number one ruck in alot of sides, has shown that in the VFL. Will defs get interest in him. What he is worth, who knows, hard to sell someone who isn't in your best side
  21. Trade: Pruest - might get something for him still not sure why he came to us. Geelong, GWS, Sydney shoukd jump at him. ANB - for whatever we can get, he just doesn't fit our game plan. Spargo, Kossie and Hannah are all picked ahead of him and so will Bedford be Hunt - 3rd rounder, will get snapped up Harmes - if he isnt in our midfield rotation then he doesn't look to fit our side. Worth value 2nd rounder maybe. T. Mac - behind weid and Jackson now. Lost a bit, coukd be handy for an Ess or likes. Target: Polec - perfect fit for us, outside ball player, we need it on our other wing. Clearly out of North and probs for nothing, term on his contract need to be negotiated though. Atkins - same as polec another meters gained player we need and coukd get for sweet FA, shoukd make a play Hogan - could we?? I think we should, what a win that woukd be if we traded him in for say harmes or hunt. T. Phillips - class player, number one target for me, coll have moved him fwd this year and given his spot on the wing away. His name was floated last yr in trade period I recon he is very gettable. Will cost a bit more then Polec or Atkins though. Will be a few cut with list restrictions and what not also, so key back up players will be important for coverage.
  22. Viney is not a fwd, they can both only play in the middle unfortunately. Viney has kicked goals yes. But that's as a midfielder, not as a fwd with someone who's job it is to stop you kicking goals. I hope I'm wrong but I dont think they can both co-exist in the same team. Perhaps viney/brayshaw + 2nd rounder for Polec + our original first rounder back?? And they pay part of his much inflated contract. Dreaming I know
  23. Did what we had to do. Next. Max needs a rest, but against who. Not Goldy
  24. Need a class ball user, Short, Houston, Whitfield, maybe a mills from Sydney. Recon we missed out on James aish last yr
