  1. Just depends who the VFL players are, and they may play him instead of Kentfield. but if he has a defensive game, for sure
  2. With this team it's making the VFL side look like(Dees listed players only): FB: Hore ??? Howes HB: AMW Adams Lindsey C: Woewodin Sparrow Billings HF: Spargo Jefferson Melksham FF: McAdam Kentfield Johnson Mid: Campbell Laurie Sestan Int: Brown Mentha Verrall ??? This is a very handy VFL team and this is just AFL listed players, there is a good 5-6 ex AFL listed players on Casey's list to fit in as well. I don't have Fullarton in atm as i'm not sure where he fits. might have to play in def this year.
  3. i hope there is improvement, but improvement means that they take spots not all get in. 2 small fwds isn't enough especially when one of ours plays the high half fwd role. We need the high half forward and a couple of small pressure/goalkicking fwds also. The only way i could see it working is if Tmac/Petty and Turner have a rotation between CHF/CHB and Ruck to give max a chop out, and one would almost certainly be subbed out every game. would be interesting and potentially a game changer, but i don't think we are doing that.
  4. Jackson didn't play as a key fwd, if someone could play that role id be all for it.
  5. and we finished 14th, with the Crows who were below us scoring more points. New forward line set up wont have 3 talls and Fritsch who is a leading fwd. With a new forward system and coach, i can't see us going to what was the 14 worst scoring side in 2024.
  6. Yeh im not sure on the 4 talls, but could be good to help Max in a rotation. but i think TMac or Petty maybe miss out. But they might try it first and see if it works or not. Id love to see Jefferson in, but it would be a the cost of Turner, I hope he comes on but im not sure he is there yet. But injuries will probably give him his chance.
  7. Lindsay will have to work into it i think, and Windsor looks to be moved to HB which i like. so i think Sharp will get first crack, but will have to perform.
  8. FB: McVee May Lever HB: Salem Petty Windsor C: Sharp Viney Langdon HF: Chandler Turner Tholstrup FF: Pickett JVR Fritsch Mid: Gawn Oliver Petracca Int: Bowey Langford Rivers TMac Sub: Sparrow My Rd 1 (besides Pickett) team as it stands, not sold on the second wing yet but hard position to play, im not 100% on Tmac on the bench either but its him or Petty, one might miss out. I expect Lindsay to work his way into the team as well This means our next in players are: Sparrow, Melksham, Billings, McAdam, Hore, AMW, Lindsey, Campbell, Spargo, and Woewodin. All beside Lindsey can and have played at the AFL level. Big difference to last year where we didn't have as many of these players, or they were needed to pay major roles rather than supporting roles.
  9. On turnovers, remember that everyone knows the game plan at training. Whilst it would be great to have clean crisp ball movement, can be hard when everyone knows where it is meant to go.
  10. Clearly a focus of the club review and focus on a good VFL side to help our young Dees adjust to the higher level. Chucking kids in the deep end doesn't help development. Great moves from the club!
  11. I think its actually more the other way round to look at it. Windsor will provide run and drive out of the backline, which is something we really lack atm. I think you will find this will also be where Xavier Lindsey will play his early footy. Bowey has good foot skills and will still share a flank with Salem i think, but both don't have that pace. And with Rivers moving into the midfield we really lack that half back drive that the successful clubs have.
  12. Yesssssss Langford!!! Well as long as we select him, now for Taru to slip
  13. He also had that the week before and was BOG
  14. For those that don't know much about Bassett before he started coaching at AFL level. After a very solid AFL career as a full back/Back Pocket he took over the head coaching position at Norwood in the SANFL. Norwood had been on the bottom of the ladder for the previous 5-6 years and he took them to a threepeat, not to mention after each year he lost min 4 of his best players to the AFL. (Imagine losing Viney, Langdon, Kossie and Jackson after 2021) Not only did he turn the Norwood football club around, he turned a bunch of guys into AFL standard footballers. A lot of them were mature ago too not just kids with talent.
  15. I'm sure there is a clause for an AFL position if it arises
  16. Lol, do a bit more research
  17. Ok, now go get Bartel
  18. I hope it is Bassett, good get for the club. Now hopefully we can get Bartel
  19. This is the dream result! Unfortunately I don't think we get either. But fingers crossed 🤞
  20. Think he is perfect for us. Our midfield being fit and healthy is: Trac, Clary, Viney, Rivers and Sparrow With sprinkles or Kossie, Salem and Kolt. This is exactly what we need in our reserves that can play at the level when called upon. DFA so wouldn't be asking for much either
  21. not a big fan of players coaching at their own club first. Think they should learn new things from other areas. but happy to be proven wrong
  22. The fact Clarry's mum is now jumping on to de-value articles makes me feel a lot better about where the real story is and that it is mostly a Media beat up.
  23. Like all of these options, and Finn Maginness. Obviously for the right price. Membrey will be a delisted FA, I really like Kennedy to play the Brayshaw role. But we are into Sharp and obviously want Derkson if we can get him, so i doubt we bring in many more after those two
