I am a fan of Mitch but if we Think he can't Offer more ie improve in 2021 then let him go. Maybe look at a trade of a player from the Dogs like Trengove or Schacke or even AhChee. All have greater potential ( and Could be are a level above Mitch's best ) therefore a 3 Rd or 4 th rounder might be necessary to get a deal done . Just think that our Player bottom no's 15/30 this year were so disappointing ( and of course they did it tough With no real games ie VFL) but we have no tome to waste with players that aren't going to improve us. Mitch's fitness is a bit of a query ( as would Ah Chee's be also) But let's look at next opportunity to switch a couple of deck chairs Ie nothing ventured nothing gained!

All get aboard the Trac Train for success
-
Where have we indicated Preuss will be traded for "relatively little"? Hopefully not let's get a player or high 3 or low2 fir him.
-
And Carlton in the mix again! No wonder they are cold on DeGoey also.
-
And a first season later no reason to alter my opinion on Jacko. Going nicely pity he had injury at end of season. Cant wait till next year to see him develop.
-
Said that in my posts and have no doubt about it.
-
I'd rather have May and Lever mentoring my HB flankers than Jetta.
-
Move on neither fit the wing !!!
-
Good summary and realistic potential can be realised by a Trac approach to his footy.
-
It is quite clear that Weid is aNo 2 taking the second defender with Brown/Mihocek as1 and Jacko as a floating forward causing confusion with the other forwards Fritta Kossie Charlie Melk Trac and if he ever gets a go firward Joel Smith.
-
Agree like Brown but Mihocek is the medium who plays tall and still good on the ground that would be best now I tjink about it I also believe just now we should make a play for Shane Edwards Who has the Outside run, footy smarts and the experience That our mids need to be as good as A group that their ability promises.

Time fir a few home truths then from Goody PS this is being Ruthless!!!9

OD that's not what Perty said in the email. We are self sufficient and don't want or need AFL help. Yes we are not a Big Club in Victoria like We were in the 50/60's In our glory days. BUT we have the potential at the G to have blockbusters as in 2016/17/18 more than the Roos Dogs Saints. What this complaint is really small change snd I would rather the Club concentrate on the Footy side to get that better and other issues like headquarters, etc. 2021 is vital in all areas but nonesofar as how many wins and Finals participation to get the Turnstiles and fans up and about.

Well HFF when have these reports been and where? An announcement on the 46 Tram to Coburg by a Melb masked staffer ??? what Radio tv or other news item did you glean your information? Interestingly I dont think you reported this prior to his decision snd no other D/L ers have heard or stated what you are now claiming and what if we are paying Say $50,000 over 5 years ie $10,000 more is that a crime? Many of Geelong's aging recruits have wanted and indicated prior to negotiations that they want to go there (without knowing exactly their salary ) ie just wanted to go to a successful Club ( as with Hawks) . By your post you obviously don't want Jack in 2021 as no indication of the potential carnage and morale damage is on your radar! What I said in my post is what Jack has basically said re team play and no matter what We think about say Goody there is already hope of greater vision and creativity in the Box on Match Day. Time will tell Re Jack and our results but you have not established any credibility that your post has much truth or fear that we have committed a crucial sin in retaining our most passionate, fiery and brutal competitor to play Most of his career out seeking redemption for over 50 years Of frustration and mediocrity.
-
Well Jack chose US, How go you know he is getting more $$$ here than at Cats? Presumption I imagine. Jack did what he shoul do test the market and not surprisingly decided to stay. As all loyal Dees fans we should rejoice Jacks vision still for success here and just think about the ramifications if he had deserted us. And no matter what we say about his ability there is no doubt we are a better team With Jack in it. Its up to Goody and the Coaches yo get him to select the first option and kick more right foot BUT overall to get all our midfield stars and assistants playing as a team which maximises our ability. Do that and you/we will Not talk about the above issues. Much easier than trying to recruit a replacement however if we do that may I suggest Shane Edwards of the Tigers might be open and gettable is at a fair price fir ability etc.

And your remark about Hill in finals wasn't a bit (silly) You obviously forget his Hawthorn heroics For about 4/5 years in the big games!!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
58er replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe not our No 1 choice ( Cameron preferred) but Brown is better than not at all. Its all about the number of sideshows you can get into Sideshow Alley ie Weid Kosi Fritta Trac Jacko Charlie Baker Maxy Tommy AND Brown. That makes us More unpredictable and harder to play against. -
Dees Reviewing Senior Footy Department Positions

They weren't the best at the time he left but I have no sympathy for Bucks. -
Sorry Deanox it is ! How come Burgess has to pick out that he should gain 3 steps and kick The ball. He has looked much better attempting that Since midway through the season. Part of the issue is the connection between all parties in the centre and to be frank our clearances with such players is underwhelming and needs to be improved fir us to go to the next level BTW I love Clarry but he still has another level to go to if we are to be in the premiership race from 2021 on.
-
If it's that simple why aren't we doing it now? Your plan sounds simple and straightforward UB but it seems To ignore that there are opposition players out there as well.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
58er replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
And who would you replace him with AF ? Brown ??? We are short of key position players that's why we need Brown as well. And Petty to play! -
Still haven't answered my question PF What is the bite going to be ? Tell us all Why are you predicting doom because of this ONE decision that if not completed NOW would have set our future 5 years Back irreparably and the momentum gained in 2021 ( more than many are finding in their reviews ) especially with our IMO elite draftees Riv Dogga and Kossie, and youth eg Lockhart Fritsch plus Sparrow etc. Our development of players is far more a worry than you classifying one of our true legends resigning fir 5 years a disaster !!! Mark my words this will be a filip fir all if you really look at the counter side of Jack not recommitting. But prey tell WHY it will be so Biting for us??? PF
-
Now is not the time to Be weak in trade dealings We need to be creative as our list needs Polec and Brown so we may have to give something up For both.$
-
Clearly he does what the Coaches want and we don't see it DJ We need a 25% lift from Jack Gus and Harmesy and Swallow given some extra opportunities to blend in fir our midfield to reach its capacity and flag potential ability.
