  1. Totally correct Deanox BUT kudos to Hibbo ha has despite a tough year ( brother etc) ha has lost weight I'd ba k to 2018 form and disposal is up to scratch again. However you are correct Jay is a Real footballer in the trenches with some class and aggression to boot and is Nevs replacement. Trent is a 200 gamer if ever there is one and will I believe ( no pressure) be linked with our HB greats like Brett Lovett Don Williams Tony Anderson and Ian Thorogood. (May even have mid field skill) He is ATM fighting Harmes Hibbo and Salem ( maybe Hore if fit snd in form) but will hold his place very soon in our best 22 going forward prob in 2021. Good times at Half Back snd in the pocket also. V important also it appears that the Coaches and FD also have the same views about Jay and Trent. Now all they need to do Is trial Joel Smith back as a forward !!!
  2. Please don't waste time in furthering the media and some confused D/Lers about trade options fir Angus. Its patently obvious he is valued rather higher inwardly at Club level ( where it really only matters) by the Coaches and FD. AND As sure as I can be every interview Gus is totally committed to the cause (Yes sometimes it is not fully apparent by looks) in his speech about game Time, lack of on ball time but refers to other strings like tagging commitment to team cause etc. Doesn't sound like Any one about to look elsewhere any time soon to me. At least most D/Lers are now are saying only the BEST ready made player could be involved in a trade replacement. Our synergy presently developing with the on ball crew including Jacko (why BTW for all his youth and not quite ready body and who is a naturally skilled team player ) each plays a different role and brings unique skills to their game and our team our outside runner with a Trac And Clarry starting to accelerate out of stoppages plus Gus mostly outside ( also Langdon on occasions) run it's starting to Balance the midfield skills quite nicely. Its Looking like Gus is an integral part of our future success because he wants to be and perform his role in that for as long as he is able. Let the players play That's what they do best!
  3. Trade talk in a couple of weeks will be redundant as bout Gus as he proves played in the guts he is second to none in using the ball and linking our gdmd together. Notice how the Trac trade talk is Now nonexistent ( treason almost in fact) and this will be repeated about Gus. Eho will the next targets be Harmes ? All are different cats and that's the dilemma for the opposition who to tag?? BTW Harmesy had his best game this year by far today and Melky also with best games ever in pure results from Spargs and Sparrow, Oh and max credit to the FD and coaches for having Pruessy ready and really fit for combat. I was waiting for him to be puffed out by HT but no he was still strong late in the game and played a strong game time with good support for Tommy who was so close to a three goal haul todsy.
  4. Utter rubbish The stats don't lie When he gets the ball in the corridor especially.
  5. Same as s North plenty of time in middle ! Hack not so much I hope but up forward a bit more
  6. GWS now in mix do maybe 3 spots
  7. Who cares about the Pies??
  8. That was our decision Kev Casey !!! Had it affected us st all ? our worst games were at the G!!!
  9. Don't know but Pies are located in Maroochydore also! So work it out A 2.5 hour bus trip!!
  10. Really Skuit why question a prime time Nat TV night? if we win our next 2 and Saints only one of next 2 we are playing for 8 spot on the night!!! (May not be as GWS have given us another look at the 8 this round) Agree they day vision is great but this is a footy match for Dees nit a NT tourism promotion Ptob advertising in night will take care of that also.
  11. Not if we are Finals bound !!!
  12. Don't forget Saints who if lose to Bombers will only be 1 game ahead and down in % with us Still to play them in the Alice. Then it's a matter of wins from then on in. Also with Jacko out Tommy plays in ruck and Brown at CHF and Tomlinson says in to add to Ruck division if Gawny doesn't play If it's wet then that is better anyway. Still got our four stars in the ball and up forward plusWeid Kossie and Fritta to lead the forward division.
  13. He Preuss only Had a first training run last week if u listen or read MST Egan on the website Doesn't seem guy enough fir a first ruck place in a crucial game Thought like in 2017 we covered Gawny's absence well Both Jacko and Tommy bought their own skills And were very competitive. No doubt that our 3 on ballers were 1 2 and 3 on the ground helped.
  14. Do you have insider info on this move in 2 years time ? Dees 2014. All he has ever gone in public is shout the praises of MFC despite a very difficult 5 years! No need to follow Eddies ramblings and Think he can wave his magic wand on everything!
  15. Perhaps he could be the third tall if say Oscar was injured or a faster more mobile tall was needed for day a Jske Stringer ! Might still play a part as we didn't expect Charlie to return like he did. Depth May still Be needed!
  16. All I know Clarry has come off the ground in Adelaide twice grinning and being BOG or equally so. Clearly He or the Coaching or the FD have decided that he needed to upgrade his output to produce meaningful team football and not just rack up stats for his cv. I prefer to think that Clarry would have been so Bitterly disappointed with his output vs Lions and Power and the lack of skill plus metres gained to the team coupled with errors galore that he had a MOMENT!! It resonated and being the gifted sportsman and proud person he Is he decided that he needed to alter his game style to be fully effective to the team and his own satisfaction. And I have a little feeling in my bones that right before his eyes he saw what Trac was doing and thought Why Not Me?? (I have done the training the same and put in the preparation!) Not just happy with the constant reminder of the last 2/3 years to kick more he has not only kicked more But become a running beast just like Trac with the ball and now the whole field opens up not just the tangled mess called packs that he so craftily controlled for four and a half years but lost control of in a maze of handball carelessness and unhappiness for progressively less result. NOW we have TWO aerobic INSIDE and OUTSIDE BEASTS as well as TEAM players and rediscovered their mate ANGUS who is even more an OUTSIDE mid with JACK who now should hopefully resolve to team play as stoppage king with more control at the bounces and increasingly up the FORWARD line to balance out the ride we get from Big Maxy's hitouts and will get from young tyro Jacko in the future. Lets not even imagine how much better this QUINTET will be when we get 30/40 games into Jacko with his sharp and Ultra competitive team football highlighted by exquisite handball and movement like a gazelle ( or zebra) when cutting loose from the centre ready to hit up one of our leading forwards. Eat your heart out RONALD DALE BARASSI. Lets not hear of we must sell or trade one of out four champs Brisbane benefited big time at the start of the century from the FAB FOUR I reckon we have a FAB FIVE fir a decade if we play our cards right! Oh and Harmes and Sparrow ( and any one else) you will get a look in now and then when injury and the team assistance and rotation fits our needs. Let the real games begin !!
  17. I think it is listed in one of the threads around trade time or thereafter listing out full list Sorry can't remember which thread maybe Demonland May help.
  18. Obvious No no's PETTY both a forward snd defender AVB still contracted O MAC is contracted and ANGUS is the differential player in our mid field so why delist Or move him ? (Just needs better managing of our Fab 4 with resting forward and benching ) Neither of these 2 will be moved on, Nor should they be. Agree with most other delisting and retirement maybe Smith still as a forward !! All the Wishlist is fine but Zach Williams and Papley are the pick one a chance and the other prob not. Some astute trading could be the order of the day. Witherndun has again back in Lions defence and won't be on the market I wouldn't think. Lockhart could easily be as good in his third year !! Others are unproven atAFL level but at least would come cheaply. Cockatoo not really a chance I wouldn't think from Cats. Any Kangas or Crows gettable in the 24/27 year and about 100/150 game category? Interesting but KP player F or B and smart running elite disposer of ball would be good through trade or draft.
  19. Good point snd we don't need another ruck We already have Preuss languishing ! Jacko also is clearly a ruck / ruck rover type of 200 games in the NicNat mould ( Relook at Tracs running goal just prior to 3:4 time and see who was running along side in the frame and could have been involved if Trac wasn't. This from an 18 yo in his first season snd initial major game without Maxy he has the energy and footy nous to be present shows his footy brain and energy are elite) We have a fine competitor and smart handballer who is in addition to our rapidly developing on ball brigade who by this time next year if handled and mixed astutely ( see other threads about this from other D/Lers ) May well be the best in the AFL. A KPF or KPB to support Petty as a key and Oscar As depth and our current spine is necessary Plus a clever smart runner on the outside who uses the ball well will offer extra support fir our hybrids in Hannan Melky and the best we have in Fritsch plus Kossie Bedford and Chandler plus a resurgent Charlie Spargo who looks stronger more skilled and resilient than the 2018 version. The benefit of pre seasons and development!! Of course we would not say NO to any A grader or B+ who wished to join us or we persuade to play at the Dees in 2021. Interesting time and the AFL conditions will play a very useful part. Our North trade also looks amuch better trade than we could have hoped for last year or even earlier this season. Over to JT again!
  20. Without involving each trade I believe to go the extra dud Rance in our quest to win the flag it has been obvious that we needed more natural footballers not just converts from other sports. In addition our forward line was consistently under performing and IMO our coach has to take some blame for this due to his Refusal ( a bit like Goody) to make game day changes and match switches to change the balance of games. This may have been due to our rigid style of player and now with all the new talent of youth we may take time to be as solid a team and hopefully develop during the season. I have no doubt that not doing anything would have us looking at position around the bottom of the finals hopefuls but this way will elevate our team to an exciting more aggressive form of footy necessary to keep up with the North's Carltons snd Cwoods who have those extra skilled match winners. Mick no doubt is a brilliant person manager and is highly regarded and now it's up to him to develop this Mark2 team to challenge. We have the best Win/Loss ratio of all original clubs in AFLW but no trophies and many near misses in games at Casey especially Due to poor kicking and forward cohesion. Oddly our remarkable Finals win last year was a ground breaker In that went timed our run to win heroically. A new season snd a new start is exciting and we should also be thankful for the girls who contributed so much to our vulture and stability. We wish them well in their new Clubs and opportunities. Let the draft be the catalyst to a new and exciting AFLW team who with youth combined with our experience can provide a great opportunity for us to succeed fir the first time in this very tough but rewarding competition. Go Dees
  21. Rivers also will end up a Demon half back in the Don Williams Tony Anderson and Thorogood mould. Also Brett Lovett. ( Bigger andbetter than Frank Davis who really was a back pocket) . May even end up with midfield minutes through his career Or like a Don Hunter (WC) and Ken Hunter (Carl) as a good player who I could win a match up forward with skills in a desperate situation.
  22. Yes let's hope he can put his name up for consideration whatever our season holds. BTW have been really pleased with Hibbo after such a tough year. He has lost weight is faster and disposal back to 3017/18 level.
  23. No Kev Locky did not play vs North and was rested ( managed) so 10 day break! Both Trac and Spargo (esp) deserved their spots again. Hannan Tommo and Harmes really should go also Melky not doing enough really. IN Gawn Viney Lockhart OUT Hannan Tommo and ( Harmes OR Melky Managed)
  24. Respect your opinion RN and Marty has some skills of an intercept defender IMO, marking and intercepting snd reasonable disposal. My issue is who does he play best on tall or small. Neither he is not fast enough for mids and smalls and not heavy enough for 2nd or 1st forwards. More Our best replacement for Jake Lever really without all of Jakes skills. Rivers is about 3/4/5 years younger and IMO well rounded on all the skills for a half back. Good mark to compete with talls fast enough for smalls great judgement and ball handling plus takes game on with a bounce or two that suits our style of breaking lines. Great kick also disposal wise and length. At this stage can't play on KPF but in a year or two with pre seasons and natural body building be able to relieve KP backs. At this stage of our development games into Trent are of double benefit just like Kossie and Jacko. With Lockhart starting to develop our defence is becoming a more stable and dependable aggressive unit. Rivers looks To me as the long range player (200 games) and Marty as a depth 7th or 8th defender when needed. Petty may be a forward or back but when fit again I also think he will be a swing player in the key positions.
  25. We do go OTT sometimes and drop bundles very quickly. Think our list is taking shape nicely and still a work in progress as the recruits and top up goon more confidence as a team. JT has not been a failure in fact has some very good selections and many in this team from Beating North. (Look at their stock and compare) Prob a KPF is needed and def another outside runner. If recruiting ready made was easy I would like Tom Papley or Todd Marshall snd say Dane Rampe yo add fir 2021. Petty May be our ace if he can regain fitness in 2021 fir forward (or back) key position but a runner (even Zac Jones ok) is still needed I feel. And an emphasis on kicking and disposal skills is imperative.
