With great respect I would love Nev to recover his 2018 firm again but as a team we are going to improve far more if Jay Lockhart is given a fair go to become our future small defender in the backline. He players fast and aggressive footy which our backline Needs in our game plan. Goodwin mysteriously missed a trick in 2020 to not give Jay opportunities in the last half a dozen games. Reckon Jay is a potential bp fir the next 8/10 years!

Absolutely Depending upon Where Salo plays I am tipping he might almost be an A grader at this years end. That would/may alter his price to outside suitors but really I would expect him to be offered a fair contract for a 3/4 year term by the Dees, and to accept it. Probably in the $5/6/700, 000 per annum or $2mill Or near for 3 years perhaps. Main reason I believe he will improve Again to another level ( like Trac) is that his last few games in 2020 He played with much greater urgency and Actually at a faster level Covering more Ground more in the centre and half forward lines.If he is played on wing or half forward his impact will benefit his skill and impact on our teams form improvement. Game plan is a style of football set up by the coach to go about playing footy AS A TEAM and therefore requires ALL players to be committed. Yes your leaders are involved but it's ALL the team not just a few stronger individuals and when played together the team is very hard to beat. We need to still strengthen our Game Plan and If we do the results will follow.

Trac went from a B or B + last season to an A grader in 2020. Gawn May and Oliver had pretty much A grade seasons in 2020 while I have reservations with some of the team aspect of our midfielders I expect that to be resolved by Yze as our midfield Coach.

Tommy has committed to fitness and will be ready to play we hope back at his 2018 level in whatever roles we need h I'm 2021 ie ruck forward or defence. I again repeat that Jacko was 18 and only is 19 years NOW and his firm alone was potentially good enough in the tuck and up forward for us to miss him in the last 6 weeks when injured. His potential and X factor are huge and even if he only kicks 15/20 goals this season his all round team contributions all over the ground will be valuable. Open your bias up and back both in as it is crucial in 2021 that we get good years from both. I am confident this will happen and our improvement will be in Both the results and visibility also.

DT your post is IMO partly correct and a true reflection of where we sit. I agree about the top8 players and that they produced good/ very good seasons in 2020. I would anticipate that they will be again able to set the standards that our team must aspire to. This will be raised as our Coaching group Is vastly improved. Also in this Coaching Brayshaw Tomlinson Smith Melksham and VDB could improve 20% by positional moves and smarter Skills use with the newer coaches influence. For eg. Tomlinson had a good last half at CHB Smith was playing his best footy near the end of the season Gus VDB and Melky had underwhelming seasons but we're hardly challenged fir their positions .This will change I believe As Jordan Lockhart and Sparrow develop into serious AFL players this year. And most importantly The class of 2019 and 2020 will rise to the challenge and replace the no performers or over the hill or poor form of previous group who were ok in 2018 And have been poor since. I can see Jacko Rivers and Kossie influencing our results and have great faith that Bowey Laurie and Rosman although Inexperienced will do a Threepeat of Ports recruits by 2021's end and provide the Speed, run and carry that our Game Plan Will need for us to succeed. The much Anticipated Game Plan will evolve whether Goody likes it or not as Our players ability To play will be far more instinctive and aggressive in their performance each week. Everyone has an opinion on Tommy! This is just another one writing him off ! No one not even D/Lers can say that Tommy is finished or that he is on our list never to get a Senior game agsin or in 2021! If Tommy Is fit snd Regains his form and undoubted skills ( which I am backing him to) then he will be an irresistible asset to our team. No All trading of players on Club lists is over except for Pre Season recruit or any Mid season recruit in around June. Too many people are writing Tommy off and I for one can't wait for him to ram this back at the perpetrators of hate against him. RJay I don't for one minute think that The Jackson injury was the catalyst for recruiting BBB. Blind Harry Can see we need a mature "man" with a good record to lead our forward line and Ben or another forward was always the trade method the Club Needed to pursue. Weid and Jacko will learn and prosper from Ben ( and Johnathon Brown also) but all our forwards including our latest 3 draftees Bowery Laurie and Rosman are part of our most needed successful part of the Dees in 2021 and beyond. I have no idea if all will gel together but I believe such is the group of Coaches now that This success will be achieved.
