  1. Most draftees have to learn or hone their skills developed by coaching based upon skills already developed like jumping hand balling following up play etc as in Jackson's highlights.
  2. If we desperately want the best small forward or any other player this move is the best by far.
  3. It's only an opinion based along with about 60/70 % of Dees fans views also. The announcement that matters will be made in the Clubs good time after the players votes.
  4. As a fellow Banana bender I concur wholeheartedly. Travel reviews are different strokes from different folks as are restaurant reviews but we are far richer for the variety of content than ONE solo scribe. Keep the stories and the facts coming at the end of the day we will read into it our way but thank you so much for the on the spot nature and depth of content.
  5. So what Doesn't that prove that injuries cut our list and form was affected by pre season surgery and associated lack of fitness. What it is saying is that we are somewhere in between 2018 and 2019 with our list. 2020 will be the arbiter of our strength and potential for success or lack of it. I'm tipping a minimum of 11 wins and confident if we get a good run from injury plus our many 23 yrs and below develop under friendlier conditions and fitness we can even achieve more. Many results this year hung on our last quarter and most ended up in close losses with very low scores. Our forwards are especially vital to the turnaround in wins.
  6. Agree AM maybe a lot better also Sky could be Bayleys Limit! Very skilled natural forward.
  7. Not correct if you want to make sure No guarantees but Sydney will prob bid!
  8. Not any more look at the photos Pruess trim and taut also!!
  9. NO but an outside mid like Stephens Yes Please

Are you saying that we couldn't or shouldn't arrange our salary cap for Tom Lynch? He is worth it And is s better player than you imagine Tom is no 2 and Weide or Joel Smith No 3 mite sll sbout depth and what defenders are needed to mind players !
  11. Why write off Pruess ? Reckon at his age he is just coming into his prime and his tank may well be perfect with 9 or so kg off his frame That's serious stuff and a gamechanger on his already good talent. He was getting tired after his first run in the ruck each quarter so his ability to pace himself for a full game now should be no Problem. Time will tell but Jackson must have an X factor IMO to be taken st No 3 and his ground ability plus his jumping might be this I imagine. Dont think he will get through to 8 now for us. Could be bluffing of course !!
  12. When you think about it when have Dees ever worried about a recruits disposal? NOT EVER who???? If we were to pick by disposal skill Young and Stephens would fit our needs both good disposal as part of pptheir highlights !!
  13. Whatever player AM we choose there is always a risk but another inside mid Please NO let's be more creative. I am sick to death of the ball going to ground (anywhere really) but especially in our Forward line and no one crumbing on a reasonably regular basis with speed and skill. We need a small desperately so must be prepared to recruit high or as wide as possible and let numbers do the job! Surely Weightman Pickett And even another forward type in Sokol in the PSD draft would change the whole forward setup Add a fit Harley mid year a best ever season from Trac with 40 plus goals along with Fritschy developing more to an A grade forward plus Weide bigger stronger now and Tommy in 2018 form and Milkshake stirring things up. Now we are talking! Even ANB could surely fit in as depth with that group around him.
  14. Wrong way to go IMO. So Open after 1 an2 gone but many good prospects in top 10. Needs first No 3 Dylan Stephens addresses Outside run breaks lines beautiful Left foot kick and kicks goals.Huge upside in our team No 8 needs first Weightmen prob ahead of Pickett but small crumbing forward very necessary BEST PLAYER policy then prob Young then Kemp if avail at 8 or Jackson or still Stephens.
  15. That's the point AM that you miss GWS have missed a small crumbing forward !!! that's why they have got 2 on their list now Hill and the goalkicker vs Brisbane in the Semi who won it for them.
  16. In actual fact I believe young Weide is starting to resemble father Murray with the weight snd growth leaving his teens and early 20's behind. Good signs as he really looks more like a key position player and not to be taken lightly by defenders any more. 2020 will produce some surprising development in the careers of Weide Trac Angus Lever Fritsch plus Sparrow Jordan Lockhart and Dunkley and Pruess. Add all our seniors inc. May being much fitter and able to play out a full game and the newbies Langdon Tomlinson Bennell (last half) plus Picks 3 and 8 snd 2 PSD pick give a much stronger list than 2019 would appear to produce. 2020 could be a surprise to us all if Half glass full eventuates in fitness and development and attitude.
  17. A touch of the Petraccas about Hibbo!! also a real Trac smile
  18. Far too many assumptions by wrecker45 in his non preferred foot analysis. In an ideal world (theory) yes most options could be done but I estimate about 40/50% cannot kick on their non preferred foot reasonably and as for turning back into trouble as an outlet it is happening less and less especially in heavy traffic. Think of Melbourne as an example and we are not blessed with genuine players who are adequate. What I will say is I believe that Left footers are more likely to succeed without a reasonable right foot than their opposite numbers are with a left. Perhaps this Left foot surplus at the Dees does give some small advantage. Hawks always appeared to have it in those 2007/2016 years with their kicking game.
  19. Why no Melbourne St Kilda and Hawthorn or do they have the Casey Demons BH Hawks and Sandy Dragons?
  20. Callum Twomey And Riley Beveridge just made mention of Pickett in their Draft post on the AFL.com.au website and he has been invited on the 27 th to attend and is the 16 th so far. (May be our interest working here). Hiw you get the other names not sure but I reckon the top 15 others would not be too difficult to guess or speculate.
  21. Excellent appointment and continues an off and pre-season full of hope and genuine promise that 2019 was the year we had to have to reset on top of our build of the previous Roos/Goody/Jackson era. I think the message is abundantly clear that all the errors and misfortune and frustration of 2019 is not going to define us as in crisis or a basket case nor will we go back to the 07/13 rabble. Bring On 2020 which seems to be evolving much better than most fans even thought possible. Of course Ws and Ls are the criteria but our preparation has started by all Board Coaches and FD most impressively.
