  1. He is my height, so i think you have just made a powerful enemy. 172 cm puts him about on parity with Chandler and Spargs. With Chuck leaving we are down a little. So if he started in that role with burst in the the midfield that could be promising, not sure where exactly he's played at GC but he's played 18 games in 2 seasons and has kicked 6 goals (all against West Coast and North Melbourne across 2 seasons). Would we get more goals out of him?
  2. Not sure what his best position is, in a similar spot to the Kolt and one pick after him in the draft ironically. He is quick though.
  3. I'd say we would be about the same tbh. Judd had a so-so year (can do better), Oliver still trying to regain "it", Trac the largest loss. Factor in the young brigade being a year older, an improvement up forward, and BH and i think we'd be the same (ish). That being said if thats 14th its not great
  4. It did seem very petulant, not sure if it was a bad attempt of a joke, If he said โ€˜at the momentโ€™ and laughed at the end it would have slid through. Divorce best for all parties though.
  5. Wonder if the swipe is about the difference or access to facilities
  6. I don't believe the story at all, probably just a soft launch to get fans ready for his defection to Tasmania in a few years BUT just for hypothetical stakes - from a cap/trade capacity what clubs would be asking the question?
  7. You can get away with having contested game players in your midfield, but it needs to be balanced. He may not need to change too much at another club.
  8. Where does Pick 6, Jed Water and Jake Rogers land on the sphere of realism? I'd love BH but not sure we get that so trying to think of other options that would be good for us that aren't 26+ years of age.
  9. Just looking at the human side, he's got 3 young kids - We were offering more security to him but GWS played hardball and now potentially he has nothing for 2026. That's why I feel sad for him
  10. That's actually a lot of money in 2025
  11. Any chance we change our minds if May is moved on?
  12. Out of curiosity, for the draft enthusiasts amongst us, for comparative purposes, are there any other "weak" drafts from the past you recommend we check out?
  13. Then we'll be up in arms about the draft, then the fixture, then pre-season supplementary drafts, then best 23s etc
  14. Last post came out a bit meaner than intended, will try redeem it with the next few onya Spargs.
  15. Agreed, that's why i said ignoring trade capital. Definitely have an ace up our sleeve there.
  16. More like Spargone. Pick in the early 40s not bad considering output last few years. wonder if they'll use it or try bundle up to move up
  17. Ignoring trade capital for a bit, As soon as a $ is floated, they can go to other clubs and say Melbourne are offering $X, what about you? no issue with a ballpark being given for now. Player agents would be able to give a relatively accurate guestimate to the players as well.
  18. Always find these statements/interviews interesting. Are the responses just aimed to media/fans more so than a bargaining tool. Clearly each respective clubs knows where things stand from the discussions they have with each other. Don't get the public chess game sometimes.
  19. Interesting focus on " the role our high-performance team played" -
  20. Oliver doing the "dirty work" for Daicos and Co makes some sense for them though. But hardly replacing the steady heads of Pendles/Sidebottom long-term
  21. yeh but the crux of if is you're suggesting he forgoes ~$3,500,000 to stay in Melbourne.
  22. Only good thing about Butters maybe being available as a "Pre-agent" it might distract some people away from B Humphrey
  23. Probably the wrong thread for it, but with the extra spot on the bench, wonder how many coaches will have an big fella there
  24. If we sign this lad, cant write to post about him on the Dmnlnd.cm/frm
